Update 8/15/11So a few things have happened lately. First Reported Failure and Friends has a new release date which is this Saturday. It was all done and we were able to put it out ten days early, so we are. Another thing is we were just at Festival De Musica! If you weren't there it's ok because we captured the whole thing on video!
Reported Failure at Festival De MusicaThe crowd cheered. Reported Failure had just made their way to the stage, and were preparing to play. This time there was nothing fancy. No floating in on a hot air balloon, entering stage in complete darkness, nothing fancy, just Reported Failure there to play their music. At first there was blank guitar tone. Drums joined in to form a fast beat. The bass and both guitars were going soon. The crowd screamed. They were delighted to hear Reported Failure. Then it all stopped. There was nothing. No noise. Billie Beckett approached the mic.
Billie: We are Reported Failure!
The crowd erupted once more.
Billie: GO!
Billie Beckett, Vin Peters, Matt Collins, and Robert Edwards began firing on all cylinders. The drums were fast, the guitars were loud, the bass was aggressive and powerful. It was punk rock at it's best. They began playing the first song which was possibly the best example of a Reported Failure punk rock anthem.
When the world's turned inside out The sun only shines to show the bombs fall Every minute I survive It's another minute to watch all my friends die Even if there is a god above I lost my religion when I saw the war he caused (The war he caused)
(The war everyone caused)
(We have to) Disarm the bombs! Try to stop the blood! (Can't we?) Disarm the gods! Before their world is gone! I wont stand up Because I know the pain I've caused I will back down Because I know I've exhausted my cause
When the sky burns with doomsday flames Finally it matches the fire burning in my soul None of earth makes it to heaven We're so bitter we kill just for a taste of Eden's sweet fruit The smoke rises so thick I hope it blocks out the light, just so I can't see the pain (See the pain)
(THe pain that the war caused)
(We have to) Disarm the bombs! Try to stop the blood! (Can't we?) Disarm the gods! Before their world is gone! I wont stand up Because I know the pain I've caused I will back down Because I know I've exhausted my cause
Once again everything stops. Billie holds the microphone out to the crowd who sing the first few lines of the bridge. He joins them. The crowd, Billie, Matt, and Vin all sing the bridge harmoniously. Then the instruments join back in to play the final chorus.
Take me to the fire To the climax of horror Make like a leader And lead me to the end Make it fast like the jet planes All falling from the sky The war only ends With the destruction of day and night
(We have to) Disarm the bombs! Try to stop the blood! (Can't we?) Disarm the gods! Before their world is gone! I wont stand up Because I know the pain I've caused I will back down Because I know I've exhausted my cause
Billie: How are we doing tonight?
The crowd answers him with a mixture of words and cheers.
Billie: We put an album out earlier this year. We're going to play a few songs from it now.
Vin and Robert begin playing the very quirky intro to what is argueably Reported Failure's biggest song 'Manufactured Radio'. The fans sing along to every word. At halftime Vin plays a guitar solo that differs from the one on the recorded version slightly. After what fans are used to he goes off shredding for another measure. It goes over well.

You got soul Hidden in this remote control you turn it on (off on off on off on off) you got style With your skin tight jeans And your angsty graphic t-shirt you take it off (on off on off on off on)
So when you walk down the street, hope you know youre doin it for me And that voice in the back of your head, that’s me And your words, I wrote them for you So you can be the radio
What happened… to anything you swear it wasn’t like this just the other day What happened to living? And being something just so you could say “I’ll go my own way”
You got beat Through some digital screen You turn it on (Off on off on off on off) You got licks Through your guitar picks You stroke it up (down up down up down up down)
So when you breathe fuck or sleep I hope you know that youre doin it for me Every note you’ve sang, that was me And your words, I wrote them for you So you can be the radio
What happened… to anything you swear it wasn’t like this just the other day What happened to living? And being something just so you could say “I’ll go my own way”
Though you try (try try try try try try) You cant escape me I am the mafia I am the radio I am Sirius top 40 hits I am the radio I am the radio I am the fucking radio
What happened… to anything you swear it wasn’t like this just the other day What happened to living? And being something just so you could say “I’ll go my own way”
I am the fucking radio
Billie: How about Mr. Vin Peters, everybody?
The crowd erupts in cheers. There is a pause with some slight noise while Vin retunes his guitar. He then signals to the rest of the band that he is ready. Billie starts playing a fast fun chord progression. Billie sings the hook to the next song 'Everything We've Done' calmly, but then he seems to explode with aggression and swagger at the same time the rest of the band joins in to play their parts of the song

We’re all, we’re all gone. We’re hiding from something. Please come into the light Will it be alright?
They say weve destroyed the world of post-black and white And were just here to pick fights The bottlenecks done and were whats left behind We’re just pissed off kids who call ourselves punk rock You’ve kicked our arrogant asses out so many times Because your head hurts and we left a mess behind
What are we?
Yea we’re a catastrophe For making ourselves, weve dug ourselves in the dirt Were stuck in endless cycles Of wild mood swings but do we even want to get out Maybe we’ve found ourselves?
I screw with what you know I’d fuck you all if given the chance I’m irresponsible But I’ll make it
Yea we’re a catastrophe For making ourselves, weve dug ourselves in the dirt Were stuck in endless cycles Of wild mood swings but do we even want to get out Maybe we’ve found ourselves?
Catastrophe…
Everything stops. Billie looks out at the crowd.
Billie: You know what to do.
He conducts the fans to sing the last part of the song.
We are a post-grunge catastrophe Making a scene while your city sleeps We’ve found our home now
Billie: Shout out to our friend Matt Collins who wrote that last song. He actually wrote a lot of songs on the new album.
Matt: If the song has a chorus and then some other random words in places then I was probably the one who wrote it.
Billie: Alright, were gonna do a couple of slow ones now.
Billie picks up an acoustic guitar and begins to strum. As he sings drums and calm lead guitar join in. The full band plays the chorus, but it retains a much calmer feel than most of Reported Failure's other songs. Billie's soothing vocals set the tone for the song from the first words until after the final note.
I thought I could run away Find a town where im just a lonely stranger Try to quit wasting away the days But im growing old and its getting later If this is all I’ll ever be. Then what am I doing here? I’m a catastrophe, yeah!
These pills Could never work fast enough To stop this, to stop this My life Is a vast, dark chasm until I die Cause I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist
Look at the world Think to yourself Is this good enough Is this gonna help? But I know how you can live today, or you can die tomorrow Just listen to me say Im a catastrophe, yeah!
These pills Could never work fast enough To stop this, to stop this My life Is a vast, dark chasm until I die Cause I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist
We are, we are, we are, we are, we are, we are… A catastrophe, yeah! (But lets live that way)
These pills Could never work fast enough To stop this, to stop this My life Is a vast, dark chasm until I die Cause I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist
Billie: We've got just a couple more. Who's excited to hear more great music after us?
The crowd cheered. THe band signaled to eachother to start the next song. They began playing the very successful song "The Cure to Growing Older". It was loud, and Vin's opening riff joined by Billies soaring vocals defined the song.
Destroy… Destroy… Destroy…
Lets blow this off And sink into our melodies Too bad were long gone We’ve been destroyed by our endless tragedies
The bombs go off, the war never ends My time is up in this hospital bed Oil and blood are all I can send To my family before im dead
So lets destroy it all! Lets just start over Before we die I’ll meet you in a place… Where we never fall Where the world stays sober Where these melodies are the cure to growing older The cure to growing older
The world fights, darkness descends We try to turn on the amps before this ends So bring on the city streets, in the dark I welcome all Anyone who can sing along So steal some cars, you don’t have to go far We’ll sing this out before the fall
Billie and Vin stopped. Robert and Matt continued. Matt went into a funky bass progression while Robert continued a solid drum beat.
Bille: Check out Mr. Matt Collins and Mr. Robert Edwards. Alright, were going to play the chorus. But as soon as we do I want something from you guys. I want everyone out in that crowd to go fucking insane. As soon as we start again everyone needs to go absolutely fucking crazy.
GO!
They all begin again as the chorus is played one last time. The crowd went insane. Some form of a mosh pit was nearly inescapable. There was crowdsurfing everywhere. It wasn't just the crowd. As always Reported Failure was going insane also. There wasn't a moment where Robert wasn't playing at high energy, Billie wasn't at least moving somewhat, and Vin and Matt were firmly on the ground.
Billie: Don't stop now!
They played the chorus again. It got so intense that the band were sure that they would never be invited back to The Festival De Musica again. The song ended and the crowd gave a massive cheer. THe band paused for barely a moment before the noise had begun again. It was fast, loud, powerful, and aggressive. It was the band's first song to reach the top 20 airplay charts. It was 'Testimony'. The crowd had big shoes to fill if they were going to get as crazy as they did for the last song, but the crowd looked like a raging ocean. No man woman or child was still including everyone on stage including Billie, Vin, Matt, and Robert.
![UserPostedImage](http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee80/keaton270/DSCN1302.jpg)
When the world ends, we'll still be fihgting Screaming and yelling, but no one hears a word We'll be standing on the rooftops We'll be watching to see a friendly face Before we all burn in hell, I hope someone remembers my face
As I screamed my testimony from the rooftop As I jumped my life away to prove a point My last words remained unwritten The memory of me, already fading away
When the sky turns black from the bombs The world will see the scars they've made They'll be sitting in their lifeboats Crying for the hope of another day Before they all burn in hell, I hope someone remembers my face
As I screamed my testimony from the rooftop As I jumped my life away to prove a point My last words remained unwritten The memory of me, already fading away
When we arrive, there wont be anyone to drown out your thunder People will see who they really are When we arrive there wont be anyone for you to hide under Your world will fall with the one you've destroyed
As I screamed my testimony from the rooftop As I jumped my life away to prove a point My last words remained unwritten The memory of me, already fading away
Billie: Thank you guys. You were fantastic! Stick around for the rest of the acts. Goodnight!
Reported Failure left the stage. They were backstage when they heard something. It was the crowd. At first they could barely here it. Then it steadily grew louder and louder. The crowd was chanting. They were chanting for more Reported Failure. Matt, Vin, Billie, and Robert all looked around at eachother.
Robert: what are we doing back here? Let's get out there!
The four guys run back onstage. The crowd goes nuts.
Billie: I've honestly no idea what time were supposed to get off of this stage. But you know what, were going to go over our time anyway. I don't know who is hedlining tonight, but we'll just let 'em be pissed at us.
Vin: I think it's Mind
Billie: Shit!
Vin: What? We aren't scared of those guys.
Billie: i know we aren't scared of Mind, but when their metalhead fans jump us tonight we're screwed. Alright. Well, were playing one more anyway. This song you might no it's called "I Know You". Now everyone GET FUCKING CRAZY!
Just as Billie shouts those last three words the music starts with fast guitar playing from Billie, a nice drum beat from Robert, and catchy bass line from Matt. At the same time because he has nothing to do until halfway through the song, Vin runs and jumps straight into the energetic crowd. The massive fans favorite plus Vin's crowdsurfing made the area around the stage complete insanity, but the good kind. When he manages to get off of the top of the crowd, which takes until the second half of the second verse Vin joins the mosh pit and simply adds to the insanity.
Running away You say it's not what I think it is You say "When lifes catches up We'll see the wrong (See the wrong), the wrong we've done"
Oh hun we lack decision Bad incisions were made Were made to clean up all the wounds Were made to clean up the flesh wounds From the stab of this place
I've known you so many years And now I know you're lying Know you're lying Know you're lying And I've known you, and known this town I know you want to get out Want to get out Want to get out So don't lie to me
Oh I'm thinking of the memories The memories of being you and me Every single day our bodies grey closer (Every day) We were just growing apart (Growing apart) It doesn't matter if we share the same dreams Cause the only way you know is to get there by selling your soul
I've known you so many years And now I know you're lying Know you're lying Know you're lying And I've known you, and known this town I know you want to get out Want to get out Want to get out So don't lie to me
At this point Vin with the help of one massive concert secuirity guard got back up onstage. He picked up his guitar just in time to play the lead guitar progression at the bridge. Then everything quieted down as Billie sang the bridge together with the crowd before everyone went insane for one last time on the last chorus.
So tomorrow I'm gonna start driving Driving to a place where you'll never find me My back will be turned and I know thats how you like it You can find another boy who you like better but just dont say you love him Unless you know you can handle the weather The bad weather
I've known you so many years And now I know you're lying Know you're lying Know you're lying And I've known you, and known this town I know you want to get out Want to get out Want to get out So don't lie to me
Don't say you love him Unless you can run away with him (Dont say it. Never say it)
Billie: Thank you Spain! We'll see you around. Goodnight! Setlist:Disarm Manufactured Radio Everything We've Done Ruler of an Empire that Doesn't Exist Cure to Growing Older Testimony I Know You (Encore)
