Inside The Mind of Hannah BethHannah Talks About Album, Thoughts on Recent Events, and Relationships [Past and Present]  Hannah Beth dreams one day of taking over the world, but for now being the biggest name in music will have to do as her dream. She says she wants to do it the ‘natural’ way, no publicity stunts, no crazy rumors, no scandals, just based on pure talent. She doesn’t mind being in the spotlight, just for the right reasons. Paparazzi doesn’t seem to bother her, and negative comments motivate her. She’s a pop star on the rise who isn’t in the news much but that doesn’t make her any less wonderful. I decided to interview the artist and get her take on things and to really try to get inside the head of Hannah Beth. With a new album, planning a wedding, and planning a tour, Hannah seems to be busy more than ever although you won’t hear her complain.
”I Love being busy! It’s crazy and hectic but it keeps my mind off of other things that I would go crazy if I sat around wondering about. Working on this album has been amazing since I’ve met some new people and reunited with old ones and I’m proud of the album. It’s like I’ve matured with my music not just with the lyrics but with the actual producing.”
She gives more details about her third studio album
”The name of the album is Identity. The thought behind it sounds a little cheesy but it’s about me finding out who I am. So many things have happened where I did things and I was like This isn’t who I am, this isn’t what I do, so the album is basically me discovering myself. It’s me being truthful and not holding anything back. I reveal all the sides of Hannah, the sweet side, the sexy side, the evil side, the mysterious side the Puerto Rican side which I hardly show (Laughs), and it’s just saying I can be all these things at once without drifting from who I am and it’s awesome. I started thinking about the album 2 months ago and I wanted to start working on it right away.”
Hannah then goes into talking about who has helped her so far with the album, collaborations, and release date.
”A lot of people have helped with this album I’m proud to say. Gia, the new co-owner of Studio60 Records, actually reached out to me and wanted to help produce the album which I thought was great. She also co-wrote two songs on there which I’m going to be releasing as singles soon. Taylor Asbridge helped also produce and my collaboration with him will be on the album. Brandon helped with one of the songs, one of my favorites on there, and there aren’t that many collaborations on there really. So far there’s Tisha Jackson, of course, Izzy, Taylor, Brandon Caulfield, another special collaboration that I’m gonna keep a secret. As for a release date, im hoping for somewhere around Christmas. I would love for it to come out the week before on the 19th if all goes well.”
She also explains the atmosphere of the studio while recording.
(Smiles)”Crazy, fun, silly. I mean you have to see who I’m in the studio with! Gia is just so much fun to be around and so is Taylor. It’s hard to concentrate around them. Brandon of course distracts me a lot so it’s hard with him too. (Laughs) It’s just a great atmosphere to be in which makes it hard to leave.”
Much has been happening in the music world and it’s been a lot to take in. Hannah tells what she thinks and also sheds some light on her twitter post.

”I haven’t been able to keep up with things going on in the music industry. Everything’s been happening so quick and I think I’m fully caught on. My comment was an opinion since it’s what I was seeing. I know the world won’t be all Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy to everyone but I don’t think people should just be rude all the time. I’m not even like that. There’s people in the industry I’m not too crazy about but I’m not just gonna start a twitter war with them or go up to them and start saying obscene things to them. I’m just not that kind of person. I always thought the best thing to do was to ignore them and let them know they’re not worth your time.
Right now the music industry looks like it’s crumbling and it needs to be picked back up. I’m not saying I’m gonna do it single handedly but I’m gonna try along with the other artists to bring it back up. I kind of agree with what Lily said in Rolling Stone; artists are getting over shadowed by rumors and and gossip. I think some artists just had a bad year and shouldn’t have to be criticized because of it. Things happen in life and you just have to overcome them.”
One of the biggest questions from her fans nothing to do with her album but her love life; When is the wedding?
”I want a spring wedding but I’ve done very little planning so it may happen next year, it may not. I’ve prepared myself to being engaged for a while, if need be, but hopefully I can do some magic and pull it off next year.”
I go on to ask her about the rumors of her being pregnant for the reason of her and Brandon Caulfield to becoming engaged so quickly.
”For the millionth time, I’m not pregnant! (Laughs) Am I getting fat or something? I’m not expecting and won’t be for a while. I get stressed out just by dealing with Hayden and Izzy. Things aren’t how I want them to be to have children right now. Once we get more settled down and not so busy, children may come into discussion.” (Laughs)
The conversation then shifts to about her personal, family life. She doesn’t talk much about it other than the death of her father every now and then, so I decided to dig a little deeper and ask about the situation.
”Well my mother was pretty much never there so I’ve never really talked to her until about a month ago. I’ve always seen her as really a bitch. I don’t know what else to describe her as. She’s done things I can’t really forgive or forget. I don’t talk to her at all. She stays in Texas and I stay here and never meet. My dad was my mother and father and he was awesome at it. He did everything he could to keep me and Hayden happy. Things happened during those 2 years I was gone that changed me and after that, things were different for me. I wasn’t the same Hannah that came out in 2008.”
As she was smiling to herself, I decided to ask her about the whole Taylor break up and what happened.
”Okay so this is the whole story. The truth is, I loved Taylor, I really did, and after I left without saying anything, I figured that he had moved on and we broke up. I didn’t mean to ‘break up’ with him during an interview I assumed it was already over. Would I go back and try not to be such a jerk? Of course. I don’t regret our relationship or anything. He’s still a close friend to me and there’s no hard feelings at all. I wish him all the luck and success in the world and yes, he will be getting an invitation to my wedding. (Smiles then laughs) He’s one of my best friends and I love him dearly. So, sorry Taylor if I acted like a heartless jerk!”
I then asked her if she wished her and Taylor were still together.
”Trying to get me in trouble. (Laughs) No but, I feel as though things happen for a reason and I guess me and Taylor we ‘rent supposed to last so I could meet Brandon. Taylor was the first good boyfriend I ever had and I’ve dated a lot and had a lot of jerks, but he gave me hope that I could find someone amazing and not be hurt all the time. I would say for the young, party girl Hannah, Taylor was perfect for me but for the more mature, focused, still kind of a party girl Hannah, Brandon is absolutely perfect for me.” Part Two Coming Tomorrow!
