As if Brittany isn't enjoying great critical acclaim and great radio success for her new single Desert Paradise on the radio so far, she impresses again this time on Digital charts surging to #2 on the chart! Brittany also managed to sell nearly 300,000 copies in its opening week standing strong right behind Buzz & Hype. Anticipation for her August yet to be titled album release date is growing stronger and this is what Brittany had to say today when she got the news that her single has managed to sell so much just in its opening week: Quote: This is amazing, first I got news that the single broke the Top 5 on radio charts now this?! I feel like my hard work on the single is paying off and this just gets me ready for a crazy year and summer, and I can't let anyone down. I'm so excited and I want to thank my amazing fans for making all this success possible, I'm on cloud 9. Although Brittany is no stranger to success, a lot of people are calling her recent efforts as an artist as certifying herself has a strong figure in music. But all the success of the single isn't slowing the momentum driven Brittany Knox down, she now sets her sites on her a promotional single entitled 'Bonnie's Redemption'. The song was produced by Jason Smith, making this the first release ever of Brittany's that was produced by the rock genius. This is what Knox had to say herself: Quote: It was an absolute pleasure working with Jason Smith, he knew exactly what I wanted in terms of music and all I had to do was tell him once...I was totally amazed to have such a great opportunity to work with him and we had great chemistry in the studio. He's essentially a very witty which made recording so much easy and flowing and song is so consistent and so strong willed that I had to get ready to release it while Desert Paradise is still selling. It's sort of like a follow up. I'm sure everyone will like the single The song itself isn't as Dance driven as Desert Paradise but maintains the New Wave core base and it sends a message. Its very strong, very deep and a lot of people that listen to the song will feel connected because it talks about redeeming yourself but isn't written so straight forward, you actually have to listen to the song. Brittany puts herself in Bonnie Parker's shoes for the song... and if you dont know who Bonnie Parker is, then you dont know about notorious female figures..... FIRST LISTEN NEXT WEEK!

Brittany still hangs onto her New Wave roots for most of the album, that was first seen in Halfway There but also strays and creates a fusion of New Wave & Dance that can be heard in certain tracks, most notably in Desert Paradise and Industry Assassins. "Industry Assassins" sees a more innovative Knox which was produced by powerhouse record producer Danny Allen, yet pulls in Alex Van Roy (known as Dj Night) to make a perfect concotion of New Wave and Dance music thus creating an ElectroClash gem about fame itself and paparazzi's being named "Thee assasins". Without giving too much, the song can easily sit in any famous persons heart, dealing with the popularity and lack of privacy yet, Brittany makes her voice heard in the unapolgetic song. Another strong minded song on the album is Shut Your Mouth, another produced by Jason Smith that can be known as "Me Agaisnt The World, on steroids." Brittany seems to go into another persona with the rock influenced tune yet staying herself throughout the almost 4 minute song. On this Brittany Knox album, you get a wide range of variety. In preparation for the album, Brittany will be going live on a tell all live interview event called 'A Heart To Heart with Brittany Knox' where she will be talking about everything from the album to the recording process as well as many other things. Other promotional endeavours are in the works, but not announced as of yet. Cant spill all the beans! I was not paying attention to my well being and was so focused on working and working that I really got sick and needed to take a break, its really scary to go through something like that and I know now that if I want to perform to the best of my ability, I must rest of first and from recording an album, rehearsing, filming a movie and juggling your personal life as well as battling the paparazzi took so much out of me, I just didn't realize until the other day. So I have been taking it easy and have pushed back Epoch to a later date in August so I can release the best product possible to you guys...I'm pretty much taking it easy but still working and I have a HUGE surprise coming up that you DON'T want to miss in the next few days! In other news, I got a few noms at the Chaos Awards! I'm so thankful and I thank anyone who put me up for a nom, because I appreciate it so much! I love you all - Brittany.
