65 year old bassist for The Bards, Moe Z has announced today that he will begin his passion,
solo project! This project was first talked about by the bass master some 40 years ago in an interview
with Time Magazine. He stated then, "Well I've been working on some concept pieces for a solo project
that I'd like to do in the future. Something that fuses two polar opposite sounds."
This is what Moe Z had to say today with NPR
"Well life goes on and so do I. I've decided to finally announce that my little secret project I've talked about
some 40 years ago is finally ready to come to fruition. The genesis of this project was simply to mesh to sounds
together, like jazz and rock n roll. But over the years I've come to find myself tweaking the idea into something fresh,
bold, and really different. The project is called, as of now, [b] "Songs For The Magnetics" which is the name of the duo
I, and an unnamed female vocalists will be called. The goal is to take Jazz, experimental, psychedelic & folk music together
to create a naturalistic sound. The plan is to release a single, one, 3 part song. It's a symphony of nature and sound."
