Thankfully I was able to write a few songs in London, which I will be recording in the coming days since I have zero songwriter muse at the moment. I'll see you then though. I have a show on the 16th, which I hope your free because it's kinda a big deal and I want you to be there. I think the real deal here is, for you not to miss me too much. A week in a half can be a long time to be away from the Ryan Ross Hernandez. ;) |

TheActualKatie: I just read a review of my album by Jake Wilson...and it's the same again. People want Katie to be a generic pop star, singin about fictional stories that never happened. I sing about my life, things which emotionally make sense and have real feeling, and for some reason I just get shouted down for my honesty. The moral: don't try to be different Katie...just be a cornflake. My intention was to have a go at Jake here, but it's a commonly held thought, so it must be me who's in the wrong, so I won't get at him. All of my follow up material has been binned. Time to change :( |

JHudson: @TheActualKatie surely it shouldn't matter what other people think about your music - you should be making it for you, and nobody else. Jake is entitled to his opinion, and so is everyone else, but i believe that if you aren't making music for you, you cant make it for anyone else xx |

TheActualKatie: @JHudson I know that, but when EVERYONE is telling me, "oh my god Katie, you're singing about all the wrong stuff" then I have to to take notice of that. I wrote two songs last week. One about the dark feelings which led to my near death, and one about my feeling of horror that my mom kidnapped me. But I've burnt them now and I'll just do songs about "hey boy, I love youuuu baby, yeah every day" and all that stuff. |
