Earlier this week, Rolling Stone magazine named Lady GaGa Queen of Pop, but their methodology was crap. To go against that DigitalSpy (Digital Spy link)made a poll asking people who they think is the true Queen, and Britney Spears is the lead with Lady Gaga and the original queen Madonna behind. I mean Lady Gaga has been around since 2008 and that's not a long time who knows how long her career can last. Britney has been around for 13yrs and has sold over 100 million records pretty fast for only 13yrs. Madonna is just Madonna we know how successful she is, and if it weren't for her these other girls maybe wouldn't have their success. I mean her along with Michael Jackson changed pop music.

Queen of pop? That's such a weird title. How about, King of Action Cinema, Duke of Crime Novels, Tsar of NASCAR, Archbishop of Haberdashery?...

The whole preening, cheer-leading, high-school mentality, diva pop royalty thing is absurd. These people are the products of marketing more than talent, and at some point they get so wrapped up in their own hyperbolic existence that their every waking moment of their lives is devoted to this seemingly never-ending cycle of self-perpetuating narcissism. They're not selling music anymore, they're selling product, a brand, an image of glamour and riches and an unattainable fairytale lifestyle. There's a constant media exposure going on that is far more important and lucrative than the music itself - which can rarely stand on its own merits.

And anyway, the Queen of Pop should be Björk. Lady Gaga is a pale imitation of what Björk has been doing for 15 years or so.

At first I didn't believe all the Illuminati stuff, but now I do. But I still listen to the songs.

This Illuminati stuff is a gimmick. Just because he stated that rhyme, doesn't mean it's true. It could be a shameless metaphor. It's obvious he's trying to form some controvercy/talk with those lines.

I could just randomly say "I work for the devil" just to metaphor someone like a mean boss, or manager.
