Sol Carter



Biography: Born Jefferson Souleymane Carter, Carter was raised by his older sister due to his Mother being a drunk and his father serving jail-time for murder. Carter began rapping at just 14 years old with the help of his sister he played every available talent show. Aged 16 he changed his name to Sol Carter for connivence. Carter has been involved with the police numerous times from possession of illegal substances to robbery, from the age of just 12. Carter's early material is about his childhood and often raps about how tough it was. Carter has been keeping his options open by learning how to produce music at times when he should of been going to school. He is now a full-time music artist and producer. Carter lives by the motto Nil Satis Nisi Optimum, 'Nothing But The Best' as he gives 110% to everything he does. Carter cites his main influences as: Wiz Khalifa, Fleet Foxes, Eminem and Coldplay.
