 Allura Silk has been hard at work writing and recording new material in the studio. Yesterday was the first we heard from the rapper/singer in eight months. She released a statement regarding her abrupt absence from the music scene, talking about her termination of contract with Shooting Star Records, and she also announced she is recording new material and is looking for a new label to call home. We didn't expect to hear new music from her soon, However, Allura has released a new track called, "Take This One". The track premiered today on Angie Martinez, Hot 97 Show and is now posted on her website. The track has been causing quite a little buzz this morning and is now availbe for everyone to here. " I hope you guys like it! I know you weren't expecting to hear something this soon, I wasn't even expecting you to hear something this soon. But we finished the track last night finally!, after working on it for a week. And I was like, I think I want everyone to hear this. So I decided that this would be the first new thing you guys heard from me. I hope you all like it. I AM WARNING YOU!, that this is not the normal, Allura Silk, I have always been rough around the edges because I am a strong individual but I think I stepped outta my body on this track a bit.
