So, once upon a time there was an award show called The Fans' Choice Awards, and two vocalists named Bikitha Hetestein and Misty Moo (best known as brick-loving zombie Bikki and Firecracker 47 "drummer" Mikki). They both asked a guy called Jason Smith to take them to the awards, and for some reason, he accepted both. They both wanted his attention most - Mikki was clear about it, Bikki was just creepy about it because, like all people with no eyebrows, she is pretty creepy. Who went home with Jason? Well, neither of them, but that was clear anyway. They both tweeted their intentions like the '90s-bred wiggas they are ....Bikstar : @Mikkicat_x You need to give it up, had about enough, it's not hard to see, the boy is mine!Mikkicat_x : @Bikstar I'm sorry that you seem to be confused, he belongs to me, the boy is mine!.... and so, thanks to the wonders of Twitter, for better or for worse, this version of Brandy & Monica's "The Boy Is Mine" was born.
In case you haven't heard the original version, here it is -
It's like that, but with a deep-voiced white girl as Brandy, and a high-voiced white girl as Monica. (See, they've even got the same first letters of their names. Genius.) The cover actually went quite well, and they might make a video, a homage to the original but with a geek girl room on Bikki's side, and a so-trashy-she's-classy room on Mikki's side, reflecting their personalities.
Bikki and Mikki also intend to make more covers in the future (they've said that their next choice is "Gay Bar" by Electric Six, dedicated to Kaylee Comatose - I'm not sure whether they were joking or not). So watch out, anyone who makes songs! This pair may take your work and put their own Bik/Mik spin on it!Bikki & Mikki - "The Boy Is Mine" (Brandy & Monica cover) is out on 25th July on Dark Blue Music & Studio 60 Records.
