Release Date: June 19, 2011
Genre: New Wave, Dance
Elements Of: Disco, Electronic Rock, Pop
Producers: Danny Allen, The Wolverines
Recorded: 2011
Label: Monk On Fire Music, Shooting Star Records
Writers: Brittany Knox, Danny Allen

As Summer 2011 rolls on in, many acts have been attacking the industry with single and album releases. Artists like Glamazon, Alicia Lena, Stephanie Fierce are among the top female figures for the year of 2011 so far. So where does that leave Brittany Knox? After her platinum selling E.P Halfway There soured to the number two spot on the Chart Heat Album's chart as well as shoveling out a #1 and #2 hit , the dust cleared and Brittany Knox announced that she would start recording an album after a short break from the industry. As the months went on, we did not hear much from Knoxville until 5 months ago in January when she announced recording for her new album had begun.

Within these 5 months Brittany Knox has become one of the most anticipated acts of 2011, announcing collaborations with Jason Smith who she has never worked with before, Danny Allen, Jake Wilson and an onslaught of musical figures who contributed to the albums recording and in time Brittany has become one of the biggest trending artists in recent times and have been co signed by almost every artist asked about. So where does that leave Brittany? Brittany is really certifying her spot as a pop icon with her new single, and album slated for a summer 2011 release.

Desert Paradise is the leading single off of Brittany Knox' forthcoming, and highly anticipated album. The song is a concoction of New Wave and Dance that will most likely make people feel positive after hearing it. Lets face it, Brittany is on top right now, shes happy. She's a huge name in music, she's in love, and most importantly she's inspired and she quickly shows us just how innovative she can be as an artist listening to her new song.

The song itself has a very triumphant, uplifting vibe to it and features the electric guitar, keyboards, synths and has an 80's feel to it with a fleck of a disco edge in it, making the new wave and dance come out to be a masterpiece.

The verses run smoothly and loudly as Brittany sings with heavy confidence about escaping to a Desert with no one but herself, her lover, and her favorite guitar, as they enjoy a "paradise" away from the media, the fame, the fortune as they go throughout the town enjoying each others company away from any type of scrutiny making the song relatable to not only different artists looking to get away from all the media, but any person feeling under pressure, and is wishing to get away from everything. They could relate to going to this "desert paradise" Brittany sings of in this song.

The chorus is probably the best part of the song because it is simply unexpected and it creeps up on you. Brittany's voice, fresh and clean blasts out onto the chorus sort of catching the listener off guard as their ears are greeted with Brittany's beautiful vocals, guitar chords handed by Brandon Caulfield, and synths and would easily get caught in your head after listening to it for the first time as Brittany's voice sounds better on this song than any of her previous releases as she belts out in a c5 vocal range.

What we like about the song is that not only can it be a major hit on the dance floor with its electronic edge, the song can also be taken on a more serious stand point being relatable with virtually anyone.

If you feel alone who feels alone and your looking to feel uplifted by the end of a song, Desert Paradise is the song to listen to. This isn't a song about dancing on a dance floor, nor or falling in love.. but something more special.. something worth a listen.

Brittany is clearly inspired an confident through the strength in her voice and you could tell shes at a new high, she's hungry and she's aiming for the top. Brittany certifies her spot with her latest release out THIS SUNDAY... everyone run for cover.

Song could be compared to (with more of a speck of a rock edge to it)

Going to start a track by track!

Release Date: July 31, 2011 [Radio Stations/Digital Outlets]
Genre: New Wave
Elements Of: Indie Rock, Pop Rock
Producers: Jason Smith
Recorded: 2011
Label: Monk On Fire Music, Shooting Star Records
Writers: Brittany Knox, Jason Smith

As details about Brittany Knox's album, Epoch, was released months prior to its artwork and first single, details of a few songs being cooked up for Brittany Knox in the studio by Rock genius Jason Smith put a tidal wave of interest in not only Brittany's new music, but the tracks Jason produced as well. More recently, a song called Bonnie's Redemption was announced to impact radio stations and digital outlets after her massive hit Desert Paradise that has surpassed the gold mark. So where does that bring us? To Bonnie's Redemption.

Bonnie's Redemption is the pure New Wave/Indie Rock trip where Knox places herself in a notorious females place, that female, Bonnie Parker. Bonnie Parker became one of the most notorious females ever and was considered a huge public enemy and criminal during the public enemy era(circa 1930's).

The song starts off with a man [possibly a judge] uttering the worlds "Bonnie, you've been sentenced to life in prison for what you have done, any last words?". The creative start of the song only makes us wonder, what is a female to say to redeem herself? As those words are spoken, the track starts significantly in a bloodcurdling, eerie guitar and keyboard driven beat that sounds amazing in tune with Brittany's eerie, yet purposely emotionless voice. As the song goes on with different melodic guitar riffs and generated streams are heard across the baseline with atmospheric sounds. Brittany sings apologetically "I didn't know what I was doing, no guidance, no one to turn to". Brittany sings in first person and in tune at this tempo as singing deeply about how "she" [Bonnie] didn't know what she was doing, "Feeling like I can do whatever, especially if I had the world underneath my feet" and also begging for forgiveness: "I know no one listening, look at me, I deserve to be ......FREE".

Toward the midpoint of the song there is a strong buildup to the chorus, that gives us a fast paced New Wave bit that adds in drums and the memorable guitar riffs from the beginning of the song. Brittany changes up and sings in second person "There's no apology's, there's not apology's, you can't always redeem yourself from the public's perception, oh yea, there's no redemption's. Knoxville sings throughout the bridge and chorus that not only can you not always redeem yourself from the way the public looks at you, but throughout the song the songstress tries to get the point of a person cant always expect to be forgiven.

Quote:
I really had a great time writing this song. People always expect to be forgiven for so many things and this song just explains that its not easy and especially if your Bonnie Parker. A notorious female and although I don't condone murderers, using her got the point across perfectly. I love the track, Jason Smith really brought out something special in me.

Desert Paradise saw a more happy, carefree Brittany that we all fell in love with. But at the same time that's why we love Bonnie's Redemption, because its the opposite. The track takes a different approach for the fans and listeners looking forward to the Epoch album, and it comes in perfect timing following Brittany proving to anyone just how innovative she can be with D.Paradise. This track, more straightforward, edgy, dark shows us that Brittany has officially mastered this New Wave genre she first starting using in another big single of Knox's called Truce, off her E.P Halfway There. Of course this could have not been done without Jason's relentlessly eerie production that matched perfectly with Brittany's vocals that gave the song great chemistry.

The track is being sent to radio stations and digital outlets today! What do you think?

Genre: New Wave, Dance
Elements Of: Rave
Producers: Danny Allen, DJ Night
Recorded: 2011
Writers: Brittany Knox

When you think of Industry Assassins, what comes to mind? An assassin who "assassinates" the industry? Or better yet the Purger? Do anyone remember the Purger? The guy who went around trying to kill off different artists for whatever reason, or when you think of Industry Assassins, does a blank white page fill your brain? Signalling no clue at all, after listening to the track on Knox's sophomore album, Epoch, we are pretty sure you will most definitely know who, and what these Assassins are.

For already more than a year, Brittany Knox has always fallen victim to the paparazzi. It was most defining during her "Mannequin Era". The bombshell would constantly find herself on the front cover of tabloid magazine's and to be honest during that time, she could be compared to as a very talented version Suzie when comparing both artist's "relationships" with the paparazzi, but less promiscuous. Throughout the mass amount of abuse she received, Knox wouldn't exactly ever show a fighting spirit against the paparazzi and would often be made out to be the victim, but for some reason people liked this. People liked the fact that Brittany was getting attacked, and after Mannequin was released, it didn't get any better. It got worse.

Everyone knows what happened next, Knoxville pulled herself together and sought out to become a legitimate artist through everyone doubts and most notably the tabloids, went on to prove everyone wrong and release her very successful, critically acclaimed and what people called a huge redemption in Halfway There. Brittany was a full blown artist after, it seemed like everything about her had changed. She was finally herself. But still, she never got back to the media for what they did to her, never got back to the paparazzi for all their abuse. Knoxville is finally brave enough.

So where does that bring us? It brings us to Industry Assassins. The track was produced by powerhouse music makers in Danny Allen and Alex Van Roy [DJ Night]. Like Desert Paradise, for Industry Assassins Brittany Knox wanted to create a fusion of New Wave music and Dance music but more underground, and something that could make people feel uplifted and want to dance but nothing general, more far out, different. So what Allen and Van Roy did was create this club thumping, slick, synth heavy, guitar driven and drum influenced mixture that in all honesty, sounds perfect together, along with Brittany's vocals.

What stands out about the song, is that it gets straight to the point and Brittany's vocals sounds better then they ever did before and she sings angrily and quick paced and 100% UNapologetic taking shots at the paparazzi. "You couldn't believe in me, you couldn't believe in she, you try to kill careers, you tried to kill me, industry assassins, get the f--away from me". Bad ass right!? The song goes in perfect relation with the great electric guitar sizzling over the "rave" sounds and drum beats right behind it with Brittany belting away "Industry Assassins, you never did anything for me, all I was, I was your robot...". The track can make anyone get up and dance and might just be the most innovative track on Brittany's album. Not only does it stand out as a dance floor heavy track, but its also New Wave driven and with the amazing production and chemistry of Allen and Roy and Brittany's A+ effort, vocals, and emotion, this track stands out. Its inspirational.

Quote:
I wanted to make something that was unapologetic. I got tired of apologizing and never really getting my voice out, and now I feel like now its the time. Industry Assassins was a song I wrote just based on my experiences and that's why i wrote the track solely. And any of my fans who watched me come up from my first album till now, and any artist who feels like the "assassins" are no good, could really relate to this track.

The song can easily sit in any famous persons heart, dealing with the popularity and lack of privacy yet, Brittany makes her voice heard in this unapologetic song.
