Ugenia Update
Hey everyone, it's Una Harvey from Brown Sugar here. I was given the job of updating Ugenia's site whilst she is on BB. So I thought I'd tell you all that Ugenia has been recording new material for her second album and she will finish it after her time in the house! Here is a very different sounding track that she has recorded for the new album. It is called "Indestructible" and I love it! Although many may think this song is weird at first because it is very "Abstract Pop" but you'll soon be hooked on her track. This IS NOT A NEW SINGLE, this song is just to wet the fans taste-buds for the new album! xx
Indestructible
Track Analysis
The song starts of with an 20 second violin intro with the sounds of bombs dropping, a car crashing and people screaming all playing in the background. The music and sound effects suddenly stop for 3 seconds and then the heavy synths start playing alongside the restarted violin. Ugenia's voice is very relaxed on the track which shows that she is so laid back about the disasters going on around her, she is just simply singing and making her way through the terror as nothing can harm her. At the end of the song when she sings the "I just keep walking" part, the violin stops and she is just singing over the synthesizer.
Songwriter's Comment
"This is the first song I wrote for the album after the car accident that I was in. After the tragic event, I wanted to show people that it has made me stronger and I'm not going to be felt sorry for. "Indestructible" came about when I was found in the ditch by police officers and one of them said "You're Indestructible!", shaken I replied "Yeah, that's me". I kept reliving that moment in my head for a while and wanted to embrace the moment of really feeling indestructible, immortal and strong. The odd music is inspired just by chaos itself. I just put a whole load of sounds in and whatever sounded good in my head, I just added it into the song. The lyrics repeat themselves quite a lot because, I'm basically going over and over in my head that "I'm indestructible!!".
