Begin to develop feelings for someone, have to face the reality you're moving far away soon. Seems to be an all-round problematic week on here I guess. :/

I just realized that I have no earings, no tattoos, or any thing of that on my body.........

Maybe a little tattoo or earing would be nice. Then again, I like my body as an empty canvas.

What happens is that players can't join the NFL until they are 3 years removed from High School. So they go to college & play football there, usually on a scholarship. The NFL gets a chance to scout these players as they develop from teenagers into fully grown adults, the colleges get loads of money from attendances, TV rights, merchandise & all the rest, the players get an education, assuming they want it.

When they have finished with college the player will go into the NFL draft (a little more complex than that but no point getting into the minute details). All 32 NFL teams get 1 pick in each of the 7 rounds (plus some there's some compensatory picks, again, minor details), with the team who finished with the worst record last season getting the 1st choice in that years draft, & the 32nd pick going to the team who won the Superbowl. But you can trade draftpicks for other teams picks, for players, you can even trade picks for future drafts.

Basically because the NFL is a closed shop it has a monopoly on all the best players who want to get paid, so rather than go to the highest bidder the top young talent go to strengthen the weakest team to keep the league relatively even so that theoretically at least there is a degree of parity.

Nah, because there is so much money for the colleges they often give star players an easy time of it. Sometimes teams will be found to have passed kids in classes they didn't even attend, though that depends on the college. But the Rooney's of the world would still make it just because they are too good not to sadly.

So today was supposed to be my last day of training for my new job. Except that one week ago the trainers sprung the surprise on us that we were no longer working level 1 cases and would now be doing level 1.5 cases. Then yesterday, Barclaycard announces we're not doing level 1.5 either, in fact we will be doing level 2, which requires the trainers to spend time in Northampton to get trained on level 2 so they can teach us, and the estimation is that our actual work won't start for another 2-3 weeks.

So for the next week, We'll basically be showing up to work to do nothing for 7 hours a night. On the plus side, we still get paid, and they're extending our 15 minute breaks to 30 and our 30 minute lunch to a full hour, and we'll mostly get to go home early. But still. What a joke.

Woo, off on holiday for 2 weeks today!!! See you then ;D
