LOVE is an upcoming studio album by Japanese pop singer Yumi Takahashi. The album has been in the works for well over a year now, and is finally almost ready for a worldwide release. This will be Yumi Takahashi's first official album to be released since DIAMOND, released back in 2009. All 10 tracks on the album relate in some way to the album's theme, "LOVE". The lead single for the album will be a double a-side single, FOCUS/Tonight, two very upbeat tracks, which were chosen as the best tracks to represent the album theme as a whole.

The album will be released worldwide by Studio 60 Records. No official release date has been announced, however the lead single will be released this month.

FOCUS/Tonight is the 24th single by Japanese pop singer Yumi Takahashi. The single is a double a-side single, featuring the 2 album tracks FOCUS and Tonight, off her upcoming studio album LOVE. Both tracks are uptempo, with strong beats. The single will be released worldwide on August 16, 2011.

The single will be released through Studio 60 Records on August 16, 2011.

@Jenny: Thanks so much! This album has a little bit of everything on it, and I'm really proud of how it ended up turning out! Also I'm glad you could be apart of the album. "Rescue Me" is one of my favorite tracks on the album! It's even better now with your contribution.

Yumi Takahashi collaborates with Jenny Hudson


Jenny Hudson will be featured on the track "Rescue Me" off the new album. Hudson will be featured on both the regular version and the bonus piano version. Jenny Hudson is only the second artist, and first female artist, to be featured on one of Yumi Takahashi's tracks. The first artist was Averex, on the track "Candy", back in 2008.

"Tonight" Number 1 Digital Single This Week!


Yumi Takahasi's new single "Tonight" debuted at the number 1 spot this week, on the digital sales charts. Selling a total 225,000 digital downloads, making it Yumi's first single to reach number one on the digital charts. The coupling song "FOCUS" also managed to make it on the charts, grabbing the number 10 position, selling a total of 135,000 digital downloads.

"Tonight" Video Banned!

The music video for the number one single "Tonight" was set for release today, but was recently banned from broadcast in 11 different countries. The video, which features Yumi Takahashi in a steamy lesbian love scene, has stirred up a lot of controversy among some, who say ".. the video should be banned without question". In some countries, like the United States, the video will only be played after 10:00pm.

The music video is still available to most online, via online steaming websites. It it unknown how exactly this will end up affecting the song's sales
