6:00 - Isabel

Isabel's Festival De Musica Performance
Red = Crowd
Blue = Back up Singers

Izzy walks onstage as the crowd cheers and she smiles and waves to them. Spain was absolutely one of her favorite places in the world and she was excited to perform for them. ”Hola Spain!!” She smiled as her song Shine

(Verse 1)
If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you won't,
If you think you'll lose, you're lost
For out in the world you find,
Success begins with a fellow's will
It's all in a state of mind

Don’t fall little girl
Don’t let them see you cry
Stand tall little girl
Keep your head held high

(Chorus)
Today is your day to shine
Let it all out, make yourself proud
Because today Is your day to shine
Don’t look back, no no turning back
So shine
So Shine

Izzy encourages the crowd to clap as she keeps singing.

(Verse 2)
If you think you are out-classed, you are
You've got to think high to rise
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize

Don’t hate little girl
That’s what they want you to do, they want to break you
Smile bright little girl, show them up
Try you’re hardest to be true

(Chorus)
Today is your day to shine
Let it all out, make yourself proud
Because today Is your day to shine
Don’t look back, no no turning back
So shine
So Shine

(Bridge)
Shine bright like a star
Let them wonder who you are
Don’t follow what the people do
In the end it’s only you
Let them hate and let them talk
Just hold your tongue and take a walk
She’s going all the way this time
So baby don’t forget to shine (x2)
Shiiiiine!

(Chorus)
Today is your day to shine
Let it all out, make yourself proud
Because today Is your day to shine
Don’t look back, no no turning back
So shine (x3)

Izzy looks out into the crowd and prepares to walk. ”So this next song is my newest song and it's kind slow but you can still dance to it! Here we go!” The music starts to play as Izzy starts to sing.

[Verse 1]
I've tried to run away
From my mind
Back to yesterday
But it follows inside

[Pre-Chorus]
Everyone's telling me that I should give up
That I have no chance and there is no luck
But I feel like that I can make it
I dont wanna give up
No don't wanna give up
Don't wanna give up

[Chorus]
Baby hear my plea
I was doing this for you and for me
I don't know what to do (oooh)
It's killing me inside
Should I just wake up? (up,up,up)
Have I filled my cup? (cup, cup, cup)
Is it too much for me?
Or is this all Just a Dream?

[Verse 2]
My heart needs an S.O.S
It can't save itself
It's literally beating right up out of my chest
Why don't you help?

[Pre-Chorus]
My conscious is now becoming so much clearer (clearer)
I wish I had this sense before, much earlier (Oh no)
But now I'm ignoring you since you're
Just a waste of time
A waste of time
You are a waste of tiiiiiiiiiime!

[Chorus]
Baby hear my plea
I was doing this for you and for me
I don't know what to do (oooh)
It's killing me inside
Should I just wake up? (up,up,up)
Have I filled my cup? (cup, cup, cup)
Is it too much for me?
Or is this all Just a Dream?(Just a Dreeeam)

UserPostedImage

[Bridge]
I've been waiting (Waiting, Waiting)
For tomorrow (Ooh, Ooh)
Trembling in fear
For all that sorrow
Will your colors become clear?
Or will you cower?
Will you leave me here? (Heeere)
Without a chance to survive?

[Chorus]
Baby hear my plea
I was doing this for you and for me (For you and for me)
I don't know what to do (oh, oh, oh, oh)
It's killing me inside
Should I just wake up? (up,up,up) (Should I just wake?)
Have I filled my cup? (cup, cup, cup) (What else will you take?)
Is it too much for me?

Or is this all Just a Dream?

Dreeeeeeeeeeeam
Is it all Just a Dreaaaaaaaam?
Whoa, oh, oh
Just a Dream

Izzy smiles as the crowd cheer and a new song starts to play. ”Hey! You guys know what season it is?!!” Izzy starts to sing.

[Verse 1]
It's summmmmmmer!

UserPostedImage

The heat is blazing like the 4th of July
I got the air con' on and it's blasting on high
So just grab something cool and jump in your ride
Pick up everybody I'll be waiting outside

[Pre-Chorus]
Woah-oh!
The summer's not hot without you
I hope I get to see ya
Woah-oh-oh!
The summer won't start without you

[Chorus]
The temperature is 99
And It can get much higher
So come on over Romeo
And vamos a la playa
Woah-oh-oh!
Everytime I see you
You make me wanna lose it!

[Bridge]
The summer's not hot , The summer’s not hot
The summer's not hot till you show up
The summer's not hot, The summer’s not hot
The summer's not hot till you show up
Till you, till you show up, show up
You make me wanna loooooose
Looooooose it!

It's summmmmmmer!

[Verse 2]
You're the reason that I jumped in the pool
'Cause you're so hot that I gotta get cooled off
And all your friends will bring 'em along
Hurry up and meet me there's a party going on

[Pre-Chorus]
Woah-oh!
The summer's not hot without you
(I hope I get to see ya)
Woah-oh-oh!
The summer won't start without you

Izzy walks over to the audience and holds the microphone out for them to sing the Chorus.

[Chorus]
The temperature is 99
And I can get much higher
So come on over Romeo
And vamos a la playa
Everytime I see you,
You make me wanna looooooose
Looooose it!

Woah-oh-oh!

The summer's not hot
The summer won't start without you
Till you show up (x4)

[Bridge]
And my heart it is freezing
I am wearing a bikini
And I notice the sun is beating down
Where ever you may be

The summer's not hot to me
The summer's not hot to me
The summer's not hot to me
Till you show up
The summer's not hot
The summer's not hot, till you show up
The summer's not hot
Till you, till you, till you show, show

[Pre-Chorus]
Woah-oh!
The summer's not hot without you
I hope I get to see ya
Woah-oh-oh!
The summer won't start without you

[Chorus]
The temperature is 99
And It can get much higher
So come on over Romeo
And vamos a la playa
Woah-oh-oh!
Everytime I see you
You make me wanna lose it!

The summer's not hot to me
It's not hot to me
No matter what the temperature is
The summer's not hot to me
It's not hot to me
No matter what the temperature is

And whenever im with you
I just can’t help myself
I just don’t know what to do
Cus youuuuu, make me looooose
You make me lose it!

The crowd cheers for Izzy again and she does a little bow for them. "We're not done quite yet Barcelona!" Izzy starts to dance a little as Tonight, Tonight starts to play.

[Verse 1]
It’s been a really really messed up week
Seven days of torture, seven days of bitter
And my girlfriend went and cheated on me
She’s a California dime but it’s time for me to quit her

La la la, whatever, la la la, it doesn’t matter, la la la, oh well, la la la

[Chorus]
We’re going at it tonight tonight
There’s a party on the rooftop top of the world
Tonight tonight and were dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign
I don’t know if I’ll make it but watch how good I’ll fake it
Its all right, all right, tonight, tonight

[Verse 2]
I woke up with a strange tattoo
Not sure how I got it, not a dollar in my pocket
And it kinda looks just like you
Mixed with Zach Galifianakis

La la la, whatever, la la la, it doesn’t matter, la la la, oh well, la la la

[Chorus]
We’re going at it tonight tonight
There’s a party on the rooftop top of the world
Tonight tonight and were dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign
I don’t know if I’ll make it but watch how good I’ll fake it
Its all right, all right, tonight, tonight

You got me singing like
(Woah), come on, (Ohh), it doesn’t matter, (Woah), everybody now, (Ohh)

[Bridge]
Just don’t stop let’s keep the beat pumpin’
Keep the beat up, lets drop the beat down
It’s my party dance if I want to
We can get crazy let it all out

"Let me hear you!"

Just don’t stop let’s keep the beat pumpin’
Keep the beat up, lets drop the beat down
It’s my party dance if I want to
We can get crazy let it all out

Its you and me and were runnin this town
And its me and you and were shakin the ground
And ain’t nobody gonna tell us to go cause this is our show

Everybody
(Woah), come on, (Ohh), all you animals
(Woah), let me hear you now, (Ohh)

[Chorus]
Tonight tonight there’s a party on the rooftop top of the world
Tonight tonight and were dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign
I don’t know if I’ll make it but watch how good I’ll fake it
Its all right, all right, tonight, tonight
Its all right, all right, tonight, tonight
Yeah its all right, all right, tonight, tonight

6:45 - Aaron Marks

A small layer of smoke fills the stage, as the members of Aaron Marks' backing band, comprissing of Rhys Perrin, Michael Nightingale, Nial Ainsley and Derek Baker walk onto the stage, and all preparing their respected instruments whilst Aaron is knowhere to be seen. Although the crowd turn out isn't amazing (as expected for such a new artist), there seems to be a high level of exicitement in the tension building up for the upbeat young vocalist to enter the stage with a slow and steady chant of "Aaron Marks!" coming from the crowd for over a minute until the smoke starts to clear and Aaron walks onto the stage wearing his standard clothing, a long sleeved shirt, undone with a holister t-shirt underneath, some tight skinny jeans and some plain black vans trainners, with his guitar in hand.

"Hello Festival de Musica!" Aaron shouts over the screaming fan girls, "how are y'all doin' tonight? You been having a good time?" there is a brief pause from Aaron, as the fans watching all scream and clap to state the obvious (that they have indeed been enjoying the first day at the festival). "Well, I hope that I add to the experience, this first song is called Getting Out, sing along if you know the words!"

With the mention of the song title, the chords of the song start, along with the DJ stratching sample, along with the hip-hop esque drums. Aaron sings in a high tone of voice, causing the crowd to either sing along or sway with the peaceful tones being provided by Aaron's voice along with the upbeat music. During the chorus of the song, Aaron only sings half, to allow full audience participation, although this doesn't work at the start, once it has been repeated Aaron doesn't need to sing the words at all, with the crowd screaming their lungs out, causing Aaron's self confidence to rise, and pushing him even harder to empress the other artists at the festival who may or may not be watching. The opening guitar chord is repeated by Rhys, as Aaron talks to the crowd.

"Woo! So.. 'um yeah... if you couldn't tell.. I'm pretty nervous, this is the most people I've played infront of..." applause from the crowd cuts him off midsentence, and another smirk is seen from Aaron's mouth. "but you guys.. are making me feel so much better, thank you so much!" more cheers and applause are heard, as he continues on "I've only got a few more songs to play, so just go mad for them. This next one is my new single, out on Sunday. It's called It's True, I'm Trouble and it goes a little like this.."

Aaron picks up his ukuele and begins playing a high pitched chord, along with singing in a equally high tone of voice, before the backing members all begin to clap, in encouragement for the crowd to do so in a manner which keeps the beat of the song (and sounds like the studio version), this continues until there is a sudden change and Aaron stops playing the uke (passing it to Rhys) and a xylophone sample is heard, as Aaron shouts to the crowd "sing along with me!", before the repeated vocal of "It's true, I'm trouble for girls like you!", the crowd responds well, and the song continues to repeat in the same way, until the uke chord in the chorus of Perfect is heard and there is a "mash-up" of the two songs, as Aaron sings the chorus of Perfect twice before the song ends.

"So yeah, I didn't wanna give away all of It's True, I'm Trouble straight away, but I thought that mixing it with Perfect was a good idea...
" cheers from the crowd show agreement and Aaron swiftly continues with his brief set. "this next song I'll be playing, is a cover, if anyone here was at my show in London a few months ago they'd have heard it then.. this is Radar Detector by Darwin Deez!"

The distorted guitar and clapping samples start the song, whilst Aarons vocals provided a different effect to the song than normal, it however sounds equally as good as the original, with Aarons higher vocals contrasting with the lower vocals of the original. The song follows a similar musical pattern throughout the song, with Aaron getting the whole crowd to sing the repeated line of “you are a radar detector” whilst clapping along in time with his whilst the guitar plays without the drums, which then feature again after 30 seconds of the repeated guitar chord. (ooc: this is copied from my old Aaron Marks RP, I forgot that I hadn't actually written a roleplay for the festival until the night beforehand. Sorry!)

"Alright then, you guys seem to know the song, which is awesome 'cause it's an awesome song." there is a brief pause, before Aaron continues "So, how many of you are planning on seeing my boy Sammy Griffen on Sunday?!" cheers and applause come from the crowd "good, good good! I'll be there too, love that guy.. anyway, I'm getting side-tracked, this will be my last song, it's called Your Alive (Why Ask For More?!) and it's another track from my album!"

Starting with Aaron singing "Why ask for more?" in a long held note, before the use of the C chord on the ukeule starts the music of the song, as Aaron continues to sing in a high tone of voice, staying fairly slow at the same time to allow for the ukeule to have more of an impact. Before the chorus, there is a break, in which Aaron only sings the words "fa-la-la" before the song changes into a G chord, as Aaron's vocals speed up singing the words "If you're alive, then why ask for more? I'm sure that you'll make do, without fast cars and five star hotels, just feel alive", with the alive being a held note, which progresses into the C chord, and same pattern of song. The ending of the song features Aaron raping over the G chord used in the chorus.

"Thanks Festival de Musica, you've all been amazing!" is the last words Aaron says, before leaving the stage to applause and cheering from the crowd.

7:30 - Lily

Lily's Festival de Musica Performance

Red = Crowd

Lily stands on the stage behind the microphone stand and she looks out into the crowd. They are loud and cheering for her already before she even belts out a tune. She has a blank expression on her face and places the stand out of her way. As she begins to open her mouth to say something, the crowd gets a little quiet.

[Verse 1]
Turn around and smell what you don't see
Close your eyes ... it is so clear
Here's the mirror, behind there is a screen
On both ways you can get in.
Don't think twice before you listen to your heart,
Follow the trace for a new start.
What you need and everything you'll feel
Is just a question of the deal.
In the eye of storm you'll see a lonely dove
The experience of survival is the key
To the gravity of love.

The music starts to play and the chanting can be heard as Lily starts to sing again.

"O Fortuna velut Luna"

[Whispers:]

[Lily:]
The path of excess leads to the tower of Wisdom

[Man :]
The path of excess leads to the tower of Wisdom

Try to think about it...
That's the chance to live your life and discover
What it is, what's the gravity of love

"O Fortuna velut Luna"

UserPostedImage

Look around just people, can you hear their voice
Find the one who'll guide you to the limits of your choice.
But if you're in the eye of storm
Just think of the lonely dove
The experience of survival is the key
To the gravity of love.

"O Fortuna velut Luna"
"O Fortuna velut Luna"

Lily gives them a little grin after she finishes singing and they are cheering. ”Spain! Let's rock!” The Bitch in Me starts to play and Lily starts walking around the stage while singing.

I made a promise on your birthday,
That our friendship shall remain true.
But the promise shattered into pieces,
The day I met the person inside of you.
He's different than you my friend,
Yet you guys are the one and same.
He played too much with my emotions,
So I quit playing his friendship game.

(Chorus)
Maybe I am selfish or unforgiving,
For saving myself in your time of need,
But you're the one who pushed me away,
I was just following your first lead.
I want to forgive you and start all over,
We're just too far gone,
See Lily really feels for you,
But the bitch in me moved on.

As she sings the chorus and the second verse, Lily has a sort of evil look on her face and the yellow light is shining off of her face as well.

UserPostedImage

(Verse 2)
Don't think for a second that I don't regret,
Throwing away a whole year of love.
But our friendship was already dying,
You just gave it one last ending shove.
You allowed your jealousy to control you,
Your anger was its partner in crime.
Instead of fixing what was already broken,
You broke what can't be fixed with time.

(Chorus)
Maybe I am selfish or unforgiving,
For saving myself in your time of need,
But you're the one who pushed me away,
I was just following your first lead.
I want to forgive you and start all over,
We're just too far gone,
See Lily really feels for you,
But the bitch in me moved on,

I miss the way our laughter joins in harmony,
And the way your smile brightens up my day.
I miss the brilliance of the whole world,
I miss the colors before this eternal gray.

(Chorus)
I want to forgive you and start all over,
But everyone tells me to just move on.
Maybe I am selfish or unforgiving,
For saving myself in your time of need,
But you're the one who pushed me away,
I was just following your first lead.
I want to forgive you and start all over,
We're just too far gone,
See Lily really feels for you,
But the bitch in me moved on,
But the bitch in me moved on,

”Sing it Spain!”

But the bitch in me moved on!

Lily smiles at the crowd as if she approved of them or something. She pushed a piece of hair behind her ear because the wind was blowing it a little. She gets ready to sing her next song which would be slower, giving her a chance to catch her breathe. A piano is now being played as it starts playing,Puppet.

(Verse 1)
Little Puppet on a string,
why do you look so sad?
Dance, again, with my hands and sing.
Life cannot be that bad.
A little Puppet on a string,
that is all you'll ever see.
You smile and pretend,
but you'll never know the real me.

UserPostedImage

(Chorus)
Little Puppet on a string,
did you think I ever could love you?
I have more that can dance and sing,
the others would do anything.

(Verse 2)
I've been left lying in the dark and cold,
my fingers have become so numb.
I don't see myself ever getting old.
what have I become?
A little Puppet on a string,
that is how you call.
Heartache, now a familiar sting.
You don't know anything at all.

(Chorus)
Little Puppet on a string,
did you think I ever could love you?
I have more that can dance and sing,
the others would do anything.

Lily's voice gets louder and has more emotion in it. She sounds as if she is tired and sad. She also holds the last note for about 15 seconds then keeps singing the chorus.

UserPostedImage

(Verse 3)
Little Puppet on a string why do you cry?
Dance, and sing for me!
Can't you hear my sigh?
A little Puppet on a string,
only good enough now for you when I dance or sing.
I wish you'd hold me,
like you did long ago.
Tell me you love me,
or please..let me forever be.

(Chorus)
Little Puppet on a string,
did you think I ever could love you?
I have more that can dance and sing,
the others would do anything.

A little Puppet on a string,
barely lasted a day.
Dying of a broken heart,
she just faded away.

Lily held the last note and then another song started to play and Lily closed her eyes to sing.

UserPostedImage

(Verse 1)
Is this real or in my dreams
My worlds unraveling at the seams
You have my heart now take my soul
This cyber love is what makes me whole

Lily stops singing and looks at the crowd. "I'm gonna need a little bit more noise from Barcelona tonight!"The song restarts and she sings the first verse again.

(Verse 1)
Is this real or in my dreams
My worlds unraveling at the seams
You have my heart now take my soul
This cyber love is what makes me whole

I can't believe what's happening to me
Your face so perfect that I've never seen
Your lips so soft I may never touch
I only feel the keyboard I clutch

(Chorus)
I need you now I need you forever
In an electric world to be together
A surreal place that plays with the mind
In a cloned world of two of a kind
I consume your words they filter inside
No matter what I do I can't seem to hide
My trembling hands awaiting the rush
When I feel you near to resume this crush

(Verse 2)
Your my everything my unyielding desire
the spark to the match before it lights fire
The angel within that whispers my name
Controlling the moves in this wicked game
This cyber love Is why I awake
This cyber love is my only escape
The time has come I feel it in my spine
When I look toward the melancholy light and see your on-line.

(Chorus)
I need you now I need you forever
In an electric world to be together
A surreal place that plays with the mind
In a cloned world of two of a kind
I consume your words they filter inside
No matter what I do I can't seem to hide
My trembling hands awaiting the rush
When I feel you near to resume this crush

(Bridge)
I know it's meant to be
This Digital Love has taken over me(x5)
Digital Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooove!

UserPostedImage

Lily keeps holding the last note and sings the chorus in a higher voice. The crowd is cheering and Lily decides to go closer to them and shake a few hands and sing to a few fans.

(Chorus)
I need you now I need you forever
In an electric world to be together
A surreal place that plays with the mind
In a cloned world of two of a kind
I consume your words they filter inside
No matter what I do I can't seem to hide
My trembling hands awaiting the rush
When I feel you near to resume this crush

Lily gets up from messing with the fans and she starts to move her head and arm back and forth in the air as the next song. Broken Glass starts to play.

UserPostedImage

(Verse 1)
Everytime I try to talk to you,
Its like playing with broken glass.
I try to pick up the pieces,
But Im afraid Im gonna get slashed.

There's nothing left for me to find.
There's nothing for me here.
I used to want to smile,
But the reasons to have dissapeared.

(Chorus)
I get a reason to smile,
You gimme a reason to cry.
I get a reason to live,
You gimme a reason to die.
But it's all the same to me,
Because I know the monster is there,
Inside.

(Verse 2)
When I look into the mirror,
I dont like what I see.
I see the face of a sinner,
Staring blankly at me.
Somebody release me from my prison.
Tear these shackles from my legs.
Someone remove the gag from my mouth
Somebody help me escape

There's nothing left for me to find.
There's nothing for me here.
I used to want to smile,
But the reasons to have dissapeared.

(Chorus)
I get a reason to smile,
You gimme a reason to cry.
I get a reason to live,
You gimme a reason to die.
But it's all the same to me,
Because I know the monster is there,
Inside.

(Bridge)
Someone told me it would get better
But i guess they lied
Everytime it gets better
You tear me up inside.

Inside(x6)

Insiiiiiiiiiide!

UserPostedImage

Lily stops singing and the crowd finishes singing for her. She is shocked and smiling at the same time.

(Chorus)
I get a reason to smile,
You gimme a reason to cry.
I get a reason to live,
You gimme a reason to die.
But it's all the same to me,
Because I know the monster is there,
Inside. (x2)

The guitarist playing starts to play a familiar tune and Lily flashes a smile at the crowd as the rest of the instruments start to play No Longer What You Require. Lily starts to sing in a low voice.

[Verse 1]
We had it all
We were young lovers
We were full of trust n fame
We were dead set on making
It last forever
Forever and a day
I recall it was fall last year
When it started to die

[Pre-Chorus]
Standing still
As the temperature killed
The summer's thrills
That were keeping it alive
The days got colder
So I held you closer
In effort to save us some time
Almost like the wind came
And ruined the spark
And left us in the dark

[Chorus]
Hey,
I could of told you
That I loved you
And stay,
Around a kindle of fire
But I was late,
Know my returning now
You lost all faith
And I am the liar
I'm no longer
What you require

[Verse 2]
And I still feel you and I
Turning in the sheets
When I turn out the light
A ton of ghosts
The ghost of your first love
Won't ever leave
Until the day that you die

[Pre-Chorus]
I won't ever look down
Or ever leave you behind
Even if the choice was the right one
It was a good thing
Staring me right in the face
But I turned it right away

[Chorus]
Hey,
I would of told you
That I loved you
And stay,
Around a kindle of fire
But I was late
Know my returning now
You lost all faith
Cuz I am the liar
I'm no longer
What you require

[Bridge]
Back then
The days were so much faster
We were young
Staring at a lovers' disaster
Oh, oh, oh
No we can't go back
Even if you try
It's better to just forgot
And to close the door
Cuz It will never be the same
It will never be
The way it was before
Oh no, no, no

[Chorus]
Oh hey,
I would of told you
That I loved you
And stay,
Around a kindle of fire
But I was late
Know my returning now
You lost all faith
Cuz I am the liar

Oh hey,
I would of told you
That I loved you
And stay,
Around a kindle of fire
But I was late
Know my returning now
You lost all faith
Cuz I am a liar
I'm no longer
What you require

Lily stops singing to hear the crowd again.

Now I'm no longer what you require

"Last song! Here we go!". She vocalizes while Roses in the Boulevard starts playing.

(Verse 1)
My love for you is too immense to measure
And your touch how it gives me oh so much pleasure
You literally take my breath away
In my life you just must always stay

(Pre-Chorus)
Making memories
You and I
Our spirits soar
To reach the sky

(Chorus)
And the roses start to fall
Tonight we are leaving it all
On the ground
We’ve seen everyone else be happy
But its our turn now.

(Verse 2)
Now everyone must know
How my feelings for you have grown
Even though we live so far away
My heart inside your hand will stay

(Pre-Chorus)
Making memories
You and I
Our spirits soar
To reach the sky

(Chorus)
And the roses start to fall
Tonight we are leaving it all
On the ground
We’ve seen everyone else be happy
But its our turn now.

(Guitar Solo)
Ahh, Ahh, Ahh, Ahh
Oooooooo, Oooooooo

Lily keeps vocalizing and as she does, some rose petals start to fall onto the stage as she sings. The higher she goes, the guitarist tries to follow her by playing higher.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

(Chorus)
And the roses start to fall (Roses start to faaaaall!)
Tonight we are leaving it all
On the ground (On the ground)
We’ve seen everyone else be happy
But its our turn noooooooooooooooooow!(x3)

Lily then hangs her head as the crowd cheers for her and chants her name. "Thank you", she said into the microphone. She takes a sip of water and waves to the crowd, smiling then walks backstage.

8:45 - Infinite

Properties of Glass

Those in attendance who had been paying close attention to the order of performers begin to realize that Infinite is next. This was one of the more unpredictable bands, especially when it came to concerts. They have been widely regarded as one of the greatest live acts in recent history, but recent events have subtly changed the public’s view of the band. Eric Quillington, while always an extremely entertaining and charismatic frontman, had somewhat ruined Infinite’s last festival performance. After overestimating his tolerance of alcohol, he stumbled his way through three songs before drummer Greg Oldson pulled him offstage early in an attempt to prevent the singer from embarrassing himself further. While the brief performance was very memorable, with Quillington’s slurred rendition of Passion Pit’s ‘Sleepyhead’ seen as one of the festival’s standout moments, it causes one to raise a wary eye to Infinite’s next festival slot. Despite these mixed feelings regarding the band, a loud cheer still ripples from the crowd as a voice blast’s through the stadium’s speakers. The voice is Johnny Depp’s, and comes from the move ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’;

“A drug person can learn to come with things like seeing their dead grandmother crawling up their leg with a knife in her teeth, but nobody should be asked to handle this trip. This circus is what the whole hep world would be doing every Saturday night if the Nazis had won the war. This was the Sixth Reich.”

A chorus of 300,000 voices shouts in unison as the lights quickly dim, but are somehow drowned out by the sound of percussion several seconds later. One lone spotlight shines on Greg Oldson, pounding away on the drums as if his life depends on it. Bassist Matt Roberts joins in after another brief moment; always the exact opposite of the theatrical Eric Quillington, he merely stands at the side of the stage, completely unfazed by the massive crowd before him. As the instrumental opening continues, Eric Quillington skips onstage with a barely contained sense of glee, while a stream of fireworks erupt behind him. It is the version of Quillington that everyone was hoping for; fully sober and aware, but still maintaining an eccentric and enigmatic aura. After a brief span of time away from the spotlight, in order to record a trio of albums yet to be released, the legendary frontman has finally returned to the stage.

After a brief, flamboyant bow to the audience, Quillington straps on his guitar. The notes on the instrument are played with a ferocious intensity, creating a musical texture much closer to heavy metal than Infinite’s version of alternative rock. While it’s a trait that stands in direct contrast to his personality as a whole, Eric Quillington has always been a guitarist typically known for subtly in his playing. Because of this, it comes as a shock to see him playing in this style. Barely thirty seconds in, Infinite seems to have reached a frenzied, out of control climax.

As the instrumental opening reaches a fever pitch, it is brought down slightly, surprisingly enough, by Quillington’s singing. While, previously, his voice had been the carrying factor in the band’s music, it is now but a falsetto whisper.

“Words echo through my mind, words spoken through another mouth
Time and time they’ve been heard before, so my variations hold no captivating interest
All I can think of are the endless clichés
Should I speak my thoughts to you all anyways?
Or perhaps the truth is better hidden beneath bells and whistles”

Breaking Circles/Grinning like a Jackal/Fanning the Ember/Family Friendly Fun

“Thank you, thank you” Eric says amongst the cheers from the audience, “I’m all cut up about not being the headliner tonight. Not because of the ego-trip it’d give me, although I would enjoy it, but because I won’t have an extra hour to perform. I’ve spent so much time recently being a celebrity, that I’ve forgotten what it’s like to be an actual musician. I’m not complaining or anything; fame and fortune is pretty nice, but nothing beats the act of singing my heart out to you lovely folks, even if it is for a brief sixty minutes.”

The next four songs all blend together perfectly, with no accompanying speech from Quillington. They all tell the same story, one of a bitter man refusing to acknowledge his own flaws in an attempt to seem unique and perfect. While the songs are initially the same style of guitar-driven rock as ‘Properties of Glass’, they slowly morph into a much more reflective and reserved atmosphere. The lyrics undergo a similar process, until it finally reaches an apex with the chorus to ‘Family Friendly Fun’. This part of the song was written as Quillington’s response to the regret he felt after realizing he had hardly contributed to the search for his close friend Jason Smith. In just four lines, he reveals more about himself than he has in any other full-length song before it;

“If, for a while, we pretend the noise and clutter isn’t worth the time of day
Then, for once, the distraction will be nothing in comparison to the main event
Live the life of an enigma, and the world falls to your knees
Live the life of an enigma, and the enigma outlives you”

How to Destroy Your Boyfriend (Glamazon Cover)

“I’m actually really terrible when it comes to remembering dates, which is why girls tend to break up with me. But, if I’m correct, it’s coming up to three or four months since Glamazon and I started dating.” Eric happily explains to the audience, causing a massive roar of approval, specifically from the romance-minded teenage females. After bowing and thanking them, he continues; “So, I’d like to take the moment to celebrate, if nobody objects. Oddly enough, I’m not totally sure if Glamazon is in attendance tonight. It’s the first sign of a strong relationship; good communication between the lovers.”

In an obviously illegal move, Eric spray-paints the side of the stage with a large, bright pink heart while singing the excerpt from one of Glamazon’s more recent songs. As Quillington and the crowd sing the verse a cappella, the screen behind Infinite shows images of flowers and other symbols typically associated with romance and valentines. There is a slight difference between the screen and lyrics, of course; Quillington once called the song and title ‘pants-shittingly terrifying’.

“I know how to break a man’s heart
It’s not like I was the one who fell in love so easily
So I won’t be the one crying the tears
I’ll just watch them fall from your eyes
Watch me lick my crimson red lips
And I’ll watch you suck it up like a bitch
A man’s tears are so attractive, a man’s tears are so attractive”

“I’ll just leave that there for GirlSpice to deal with,” Eric says, looking at the obnoxiously large heart with a satisfied smile on his face.

Tracing the Familiar Patterns

As Quillington makes his way to the piano, he takes off his eye-catching sunglasses and red jacket. Stripped of his more flamboyant clothing choices, he seems far more serious than usual. Although he has repeatedly tried to hide it, there is a soft, almost feminine side to his voice that is well-suited to slower, balladic tunes. Only very rarely, on occasions such as ‘Shades of Grey’, has he revealed this side of himself. Through most of his life, Quillington has had a fear of revealing himself through vocals and lyrics, instead preferring to look outward for lyrical themes. Recently, he has become particularly well-known for quirky acts and behaviors, and yet, a more melancholy and serious side of him resides beneath the surface. It’s one he almost never acknowledges, even in private, but is exposed in full during these two verses;

"And your personality is a song; it ends and begins whenever the cycle dictates
Conversations of feelings and depth will always remain one-sided
The unspeakable words are the ones that come far too easily to you
You and I, together, are living in a graying world

And my personality is like a march, always monotonous in its consistency
I’m far too afraid to speak of sadness and fear, because the phobias have all been expressed before
The only thing that makes one unique is being the first to make a new step
I’m living in a graying world, you’re living in a perfect world"

Tales of Lunar Exploration

“I don’t know how well I’ll sing this next song,” Eric says to the crowd, “Because I did the vocal to the studio recording while coked out on a dangerous combination of narcotics. And now I’m sober, against my better wishes. Y’see, last time I was at one of these festivals, I was a little bit tipsy. It wasn’t too bad or anything, I didn’t even think it was noticeable. But, it was, so now my manager forces me to get drug tested before every live gig. Wouldn’t really make much of a difference, though; I mean, if I was already flying high, it’s not like a breathalyzer is going to make me sober. So it’s a rather pointless exercise that really-“

His rant is cut off by a rapid drum-snare by an irritated Greg Oldson, who seems anxious to get to the next song. Unlike Eric, he seems to realize the importance of time-restraints on their setlist. After flashing a sly grin to his annoyed drummer, Quillington cracks his knuckles and begins playing a new song on the keyboard. It’s a marked difference from the bare-bones tone of the previous song. While most of the earlier songs were very guitar-centric, this one enunciates the slow, yet subtle, change Infinite’s setlist has gone. The sonic territory is now much more ambient and relaxed, and displays none of the unease typically found in Infinite’s more relaxed songs. The instruments help create a very hazy and dreamlike atmosphere, which the reverb-soaked keyboards only add to. This lightweight feel serves as a striking contrast to the heavy lyrical themes.

Eric’s vocals during this song are quite a departure from his usual work. While his voice and lyrics can often be somewhat indecipherable due to his singing style, the exact opposite is now apparent. The words are pronounced and stretched almost to a breaking degree; as a consequence, his British accent is much more noticeable than usual. The result is a fairly seductive vocal from a man who typically shies away from such things.

“Pick apart the echoes in this room, and listen to the lone voice disguised as many
Once it’s possible to differentiate each pulse, it can be noted that they all come from the same source
Realize you’re talking to yourself, and you’ll see there’s no shame in the chorus of reverb”

“The days of blissful, unaware ramblings have long since been left in the past
Now that I can hear silence, my thoughts finally come pouring through”

A New Circle

“Once again; thank you so much. Or, no, wait, I haven’t actually said thank you yet. So, okay, then; thank you, thank you, thank you for sitting through our set. The call of beer can be fairly alluring, I know, so it means quite a bit that a fair few of you didn’t go for a quick buzz while we were up here. I had an amazing time being back in the saddle, so I hope you all felt similar feelings of joy watching me. A man can hope, right? Still, I know this a one-way goodbye, as I know you all will be watching GirlSpice’s performance while I get arrested for vandalism. Let me tell you, though; it was all worth it.

Anyways, if it’s alright with you all, I have one more favor to ask. I know none of you have heard this song, as it’ll be the first time we’ve ever played it before an audience, but I’d like it if you could sing the final line for me. It’s a fairly optimistic one, so I think a chorus of 300,000 voices singing it would be quite a surreal experience. I’ll help you out first, if you’d like.”

Eric sings the line several times, before prompting the audience to do the same. Once properly satisfied that the crowd will remember it, the band begins their final song of the evening. This one is very similar to ‘Tracing a Familiar Circle’, as it should be; this is meant to be the second part, the climax to the entire album called DANCING ABOUT ARCHITECTURE. It’s piano-driven, with quiet accompaniments from Matt and Greg, but the dominant feature are the lyrics, as it is with most of the upcoming album;

“And our personalities are like a melody, one overlapping note over the other
The conflict of dominance merely creates an uneasy harmony
The future stretches outward, and there will be plenty of time to iron the wrinkles”

The band reaches an instrumental conclusion, after which Eric throws his hands up in the air, as a cue for the crowd to sing their line. It’s an ending that is both intimate and optimistic, with none of the grand gestures that Infinite are typically known for. And, yet, it seems like the only logical conclusion to a show that has become so personal;

“We’re living in a perfect world”

10:00 - HEADLINERS - GirlSpice

UserPostedImage

With a countdown on screen, GirlSpice are moments away from making their appearance on stage, fans chanting their name as the countdown eventually reaches zero. The opening of "Morning Won't Come" soon begins and four spotlights suddenly shine down on GirlSpice who are seen up in the air, their backs to the audience, stood on an elevated platform, they all quickly turn around in sync with each other and fireworks burst out from under the stage as the platform lowers. Kimberly shouts out "FESTIVAL DE MÚSICA... are you READY!?!" as she follows it up with the opening line of the song, met with a roaring response from the crowd. They eventually step off of the platform as it reaches the bottom and a group of dancers are lifted from underneath the stage as they do so, them and GirlSpice burst into an energetic dance routine for the chorus as flames burst out at the front of the stage. They then undo their black trenchcoats for the following verse, the girls seen in matching black leather leotards, they wave to the audience every now and then, glowing smiles on all of their faces, even Chantal surprisingly, it's obvious that they've missed the festival scene since they've been away. The last note of the song plays and the girls throw one fist in the air, an explosion of fireworks are met in response at the back of the stage, the girls look at each other, smiling. "That's a lot of people out there, you all with us?" Nadia asks, the screams back make her cover her ears playfully, "We've got a new album out right now, have any of you heard it?" Chantal quickly asks, the screams back make her smile, she's clearly not disappointed. "I think you might know this one then... it's our third single and we hope you like" she says, Sophia follows up with a cute "Yayyyyyyy!!" before the thumping beat of "Dirty Mouth" kicks in. "I need some tape to hold back all my thoughts I wanna say aloud" Chantal sings seductively for the opening line, the raunchy lyrics are definitely a crowd-pleaser. The male dancers appear back on stage soon after and each GirlSpice member begins to walk around a dancer, they then tear their tops off, making them fall to their knees after, GirlSpice kneel down to get on the same level as them and then they all each bite each dancers bottom lip in a teasing manor, before dragging them back up with them. GirlSpice and the dancers begin a suggestive dance routine for the final chorus and are then lowered under the stage once the song ends for a costume change.

Reappearing in figure-hugging full-length white dresses with heels, GirlSpice slowly walk to the front of the stage. Ballad "Endless Tears" begins, one of their first ever hit singles and a fan favourite, obviously apparent from the positive reaction. The girls showcase their vocals on the track, harmonising together beautifully, each of their vocals complimenting each others on the track. They blow kisses to the crowd once the song comes to an end, cables attached to the back of them slowly bring them all up at the same time for next ballad "Invisible", originally released with group Rebel Uprising, now performing it on their own whilst hanging up in the air, thick smoke filling the stage below them, they use the opportunity to once again put the focus on their vocals, something they often don't get to do with their mostly dance-pop oriented music. After being lowered down slowly, the girls rip off the bottom half of their dresses and mess their hair up a little, the crowd cheer in return. They go on to perform a more rock-inspired medley of hits "Xplode" and "Drop the Bomb", featuring Aerospliff and the latter featuring Thunderwolf originally. The girls stand at microphone stands for the medley in which they sing around half of both songs, clapping their hands together and encouraging the audience to join in, in which a large majority do so. At the end of "Drop the Bomb", they all pick up different coloured electric guitars, holding them up into the air and smashing them down on stage, a single spotlight shines on them all at the end of the medley as they're eventually lowered under the stage for a costume change.

Four cages lift up from under the stage for "Control", GirlSpice are all seen in ripped jean shorts and leather jackets, male police officers guard the cages whilst GirlSpice dance around the bars and do solo dance moves inside in rhythm with the beat. The police officers soon open the cages and GirlSpice rebel for the rockier "I Don't Need You" as they lock the policemen up instead, climbing up on the cages and standing at the top of them whilst doing a few high-energy freestyle moves and singing along to the track, pumping their fists in the air and getting the crowd to join in. Climbing down from the cages afterwards, the group join together and wait for a minute to take another round of constant screams from the audience, "Awwww! Are you all having a good time?" Sophia asks, a ton of cheers fired back at her, "LET'S GET READY TO DANCE!" Kimberly screams out, "Energetic" follows, an exclusive song from their greatest hits release, their dancers flood back, lasers shining brightly out from the back of the stage. GirlSpice jump up and down for the intro, attempting to get everyone jumping with them, they put on a dance routine throughout the whole performance of the song, their vocals suffering slightly from their short of breath. They manage to keep the energy going for "Downtown" where the policemen are let free from their cages, GirlSpice perform a dance-off with them throughout the track where GirlSpice end up winning. Another track from the new album Night Rider follows, "The Night" begins and GirlSpice play around with the policemen, ripping their shirts open, stealing their caps and smacking them playfully with their batons, throwing their caps into the audience afterwards before closing up with a dance routine in the final chorus.

All but one member of GirlSpice leave the stage for the following performance, Nadia sits on a stool and is joined by an acoustic guitar player, the stage turns dark and a spotlight shines on her as she clears her throat. "Everyone, I'd like to introduce you to a good friend of mine, say hi to Dave... isn't Dave such a common name for a guitarist? Is that just me?" she laughs softly and he laughs with her, "I've been working with him since my first solo record, so he knows what a perfectionist I am when it comes to performing, but this song, this one was special... I wanted it to be stripped back as possible, so he kinda breathed a sigh of relief for once, he likes to keep it simple." She looks down smiling, then lifts her head and goes straight into "Connection", without even introducing the title, it's evident she's performing this from the heart and without any other intentions.

Cupid's arrow always makes a victim of one of us
Leading me to your charms, leading me into your arms
In the dark alone, but I can still you feel there
Your hand in mine, careless whispers in the air
I can hear the beat of your heart, in sync with mine
Memories of small talk said over whiskey and wine
They don't seem so far away when I keep them on repeat
And I'll never let them leave, the thought of you makes me feel complete

Her heartfelt vocals are evident, she pauses and looks out into the crowd who remained silent during the opening verse, taking the time to appreciate Nadia, often seen as the strongest vocalist in the group. She nods her head and continues.

They say talk is cheap, but a word from you is worth more than anything
Demons lurking in the shadows, but you're always there with hope to bring
I wanna get lost in your embrace, let's not fight our destiny that lies ahead
All I wanna do is see what you've got for me instead

When we're miles away, there's still no crumbling my world down
And there's no tearing us apart whenever you're out of town
Cause there's no breaking our connection, our connection
At such a distance, sometimes it feels like you're inches away
But I know that forever in my heart is a place you'll always stay
Cause there's no breaking our connection, our connection

She smiles, her delicate and soft vocals sound effortless, yet emotional. She parts her lips, keeping the sweet tone to her voice for the following verse.

My hand running through your hair, just like it was the other day
Our lips meeting, I'd want it in no other way
I can hear your heartbeat, cause you keep me going
Your presence is the only thing that keeps my blood flowing
That's what keeps me surviving when you're not near
The reminder of you helps when I stop seeing clear
Whenever I go off the rails, you always put me back on the right track
You're there with the light when the clouds in my sky turn to black

Taking a deep breath, she feels herself becoming overcome with emotion, fighting on through the pre-chorus and chorus, she makes her way to the middle-eight and final chorus where she gives it her all vocally, belting out and not letting herself break into tears during the performance.

Whenever I was kicked down and messed around
Whenever I was picked up and put back down
I kept the hope someday I'd find someone to see
Someone like you who'd care for me
Someone who'd break the chains and set me free
You gave me the answers whenever I was unsure
You're the answer to it all, you're nothing but my cure

When we're miles away, there's still no crumbling my world down
And there's no tearing us apart whenever you're out of town
Cause there's no breaking our connection, our connection
At such a distance, sometimes it feels like you're inches away
But I know that forever in my heart is a place you'll always stay
Cause there's no breaking our connection, our connection

Holding the note on the final line of the song, she finishes and closes her eyes, taking a deep breath and wiping away a tear running down her cheek that had managed to escape her eye, the crowd applaud wildly in return and she bows her head in return, leaving the stage.

A wall of dancers form at the back of the stage, GirlSpice get lifted up behind them so the audience are unable to see them yet, once the dancers move, they're seen wearing a leather bra and hotpants set with thigh-high boots to match. "Danger" begins and they strut to the front of the stage with the dancers, all of them dancing the chorus in sync, creating a powerful look on stage whilst glitter bursts out from cannons at either side of the stage each time the chorus hits. They follow it up with their final performance, "Money Equals Love" keeps the energy high and their male dancers leave the stage, their female ones strip off into lingerie made of dollar bills, once again receiving a roaring response from the audience. The girls sit on the edge of the stage and jump off for a moment, touching hands with fans stood behind the barricade. After interacting with the crowd throughout most of the track, they make their way back on stage and perform a dance routine for the final chorus, before a shower of sparks light up the back of the stage for the ending. "THANK YOUUUU!" they all scream out, waving to the crowd as they are slowly lowered underneath the stage.

ooc: THIS BE AWESOME! I could say, OH MAN I LOVE AARON MARK'S RP(because I really do) but then I'd be lying to myself, since that would make it my favorite of the Highlights Thread, but then there was the Isabel RP which had those awesome lyrics...NO WAIT that's not to mention the always awesome Infinite RP, or Lily's RP that also had great lyrics. Then there was that GirlSpice RP and they had such cool stage presence.

Oh man, I guess my favorite was all of them.
