Dominic Brown's Festival De Música Performance

Once he's introduced, Dominic comes on stage wearing a blue, white, and red outfit. He looks at all the people that showed up and is amazed. The music to "Dance With You" starts and he sings the first verse.

UserPostedImage

[Verse One]
Dominic:
All up in this club
Trynna find a sexy girl
To dance with

Shawty over there eying me
I can tell she wanna
Come home with me
But tonight I just wanna dance

He moves closer to the fans and girls are trying to touch him. He sings the pre-chorus and tries to pull up his pants, to keep them from falling, due to fans pulling on his clothes.

UserPostedImage

[Pre-Chorus]
I’m just trynna keep it real
Hope you feelin me
Cuz I just wanna dance yeah

As the chorus approaches, some background male dancers come out. Dominic dances a long with them as the chorus is being sung.

UserPostedImage

[Chorus]
I wanna dance with you(8x)

Dominic asks the crowd to sing Isabel's verse and he points the mic towards the crowd. He's smiling as they sing and his dancers are dancing behind him.

UserPostedImage

[Verse Two]
Isabel:
I want to dance with you
Take me in your arms,
Make me fly again and again.
Touch me, feel me,

I am yours, I am here dear contemplating our
Sweet dance.
Face to face, delicacy and grace.
My lips kissing yours, magic everywhere.
Yes love I want to dance but only with you,
Only with you forever and ever

He comes back in to help sing the pre-chorus and chorus. Girls are reaching out trying to touch him.

UserPostedImage

[Pre-Chorus]
I’m just trynna keep it real
Hope you feelin me
Cuz I just wanna dance yeah

[Chorus]
I wanna dance with you(8x)

The song ends and Dominic says "Hold up hold up. Enough of this, lets have some fun. Ladies let me hear you scream?" All the girls are screaming. "I'm looking for Mrs. Right. Let me hear you scream if you think that's you." Girls are screaming even louder than before and the music to Mindless Behavior's "Mrs. Right" plays.

UserPostedImage

He walks back to the top of the stage. Two little boys pop out and are Dancing. Dominic sings "Where is Mrs. Right?
I gotta find her."

UserPostedImage

Dominic steps down to make his way back towards the edge of the stage. He touches a girl's hand and she is freaking out about it. He sings the chorus.

UserPostedImage

[Chorus:]
Where is Mrs. Right
I gotta see her,
Travel all across the world just to meet her
Get me on a flight
I gotta see her,
Travel all across the world just to meet her
Travel to LA and maybe to the Bay,
Come to Chi Town,
She might be out of state,
Book a flight to London,
Book a flight to France,
Can we go to Switzerland,
Can we hit Japan

UserPostedImage

[Verse 1:]
Shawty say you don't but I bet you do,
MB on your ringtone, posters in your room,
Sassy little thing, like, like the way you talk,
Heard you got the goods, go'n ahead show them off,
Take a picture quick, send it to my phone,
Dimple in your cheek, white Gucci stunnas on,
Don't know where you been hiding from me so long,
Prodigy, Roc, RayRay and Princeton we on
So baby come on

The chorus is approaching but instead of singing he starts dancing.

UserPostedImage

[Chorus:]
Where is Mrs. Right
I gotta see her,
Travel all across the world just to meet her
Get me on a flight
I gotta see her,
Travel all across the world just to meet her
Travel to LA and maybe to the Bay,
Come to Chi Town,
She might be out of state,
Book a flight to London,
Book a flight to France,
Can we go to Switzerland,
Can we hit Japan

As the song keeps playing Dominic is dancing while fans are snapping pictures of him on their phones.

UserPostedImage

[Diggy:]
Light skinned deep, dark, dark skinned deep
Long hair, don't care as long as your heart's in it
Looking for my Mrs.
Enough to drive me insane
Matter of fact ayo Prodigy sing

[Verse 2:]
Hoppin' on a plane, coming straight to y'all,
In Tokyo we say Konichiwa off the wall,
London in the spring, Paris in the fall,
We don't discriminate girls, know we love them all
All my German chicks, let me kiss you back,
Open up your Mac Book, put me on your lap,
Stay sending smiley faces on the chat,
Met some good girls, yeah they're all over the map,
But where she at, where she at

[Chorus:]
Where is Mrs. Right
I gotta see her,
Travel all across the world just to meet her
Get me on a flight
I gotta see her,
Travel all across the world just to meet her
Travel to LA and maybe to the Bay,
Come to Chi Town,
She might be out of state,
Book a flight to London,
Book a flight to France,
Can we go to Switzerland,
Can we hit Japan

He grabs the mic to sing a few parts of the song while he dances.

UserPostedImage

[Bridge:]
Flying (so high, so high)
Destination everywhere,
Gotta find a way to get to where you are, you are

[Diggy Verse:]
Yes my Mrs. Right now
I need her right now
I got some things I wanna say
So I'm gonna write it down
Write me down, write me down
If I like you, you write me now
I predict one day we'll be together
I'm a psychic (aw)
Been to the south, been to the Bay
Even took a field trip out of states
I know you're an angel
So maybe I should look outer space
D, I, Double G, Y looking for the right one
Prodigy, Double R, Princeton, Roc Ray
Let them know where you're coming from

[Chorus:]
Where is Mrs. Right
I gotta see her,
Travel all across the world just to meet her
Get me on a flight
I gotta see her,
Travel all across the world just to meet her
Travel to LA and maybe to the Bay,
Come to Chi Town,
She might be out of state,
Book a flight to London,
Book a flight to France,
Can we go to Switzerland,
Can we hit Japan

After he's finish dancing, the music ends and the crowd screams. He walks over to shake some pretty girls' hands and signs a few autographs.

UserPostedImage

Before Dominic leaves the stage, he takes off his jacket and throws into the audience. He smiles as he watches the girls going crazy, trying to get the jacket. A few seconds pass and he makes his way off the stage.

Hayden's Festival de Musica Performance

Red = Back up Singers
Orange = Crowd

Hayden walks to the stage while his music is playing. He is strumming on his guitar with a smile on his face. He then starts to sing.

[Verse 1]
I threw a bottle in the air and it smashed into a thousand pieces on the concrete street,
where the children play in bare feet (Oh, oh, oh, Oh, Ooooh)
We ran as fast as we could, cause I might have woke the neighborhood (yeah)
Oh I don't feel too good, no I don't feel too good at all (Oh, Oh, Ooooh)
Cause when the sun comes up and the children waaake, get on the street to plaaay,
I'll be the one to blaaaaame

[Chorus]
I'm a criminal, I'm a criminal [x4]

UserPostedImage

Hayden pointed at one of his fans as they were singing along with him.

[Verse 2]
It didn't last too long, no I passed out, woke up and the guilt was gone
Without a care I walk down the stairs, into the kitchen eat my breakfast there (Ooooooooh ohh)
Turn on the television screen,(oooh)
Emergency News Team(oooh)
Little girl crying on the street saying "gla-gla-gla-glass made my feet bleed"(oooh)
Oh tell me what am I gonna do
I'm for sure done
What am I gonna do,
I have no choice but to run

[Chorus]
I'm a criminal, I'm a criminal [x4]

[Bridge]
Change my name and move to Mexico
Dye my hair red and get surgery on my nose
Buy a small condo, stay low in Mexico
Don't it sound so sweet, get a wife and raise a family
Start my own limousine company
Stay low in Mexico

Stay low in Mexico(X7)

It never snows in Mexico

[Chorus]
I'm a criminal, I'm a criminal [x6]

Hey, Heeeeey

Hey, Heeeeeeeey yeah

Cus I'm a criminal, I'm a criminal, I'm a criminal, I'm a criminal
Hey Hey Heeeeeey yeaaaah.

I'm a criminal.

Hayden started playing a solo for about 5 minutes which turned into his song Lullabye

[Verse 1]
Twenty miles too fast, acceleration on the gas
Well she wakes up to the glass and
reaches out for her baby (Oh oh oh)
She reaches out for her baby
Her son wakes up, the birds are singing she wakes up to the day
The skies so clear, new life appears and all she sees is the rain
Everyday is the same

Cigarettes are stamped on the desk and empty bottles on the ground
and baby picture on the fridge of Katie reaching for her
All she knew about was love

[Chorus]
2001 to 2005
Always remembered by her beautiful smile
Katie, tattooed on her arm
Now Momma's gotta live on
Lullabye

[Verse 2]
Memories of the walks down to the park
Enjoying the flowers on the pavement
Sharing double-scooped ice cream
Her favorite flavor was strawberry, yeah yeah
Empty swing and empty yard and empty playhouse
Her only joy is now gone
And now she's left all alone

[Chorus]
2001 to 2005
Always remembered by her beautiful smile
Katie, tattooed on her arm
Now Momma's gotta live on
Lullabye
Lullabye

[Bridge]
Fly us back to the past
Thirty miles too fast, acceleration on the gas
Well she, she wakes up to the glass
And shattered mirror of the past
She reaches for her baby
Reaches out for her baby
This time Katie takes her hand
She takes her hand, this time
In heaven

In heaven

Hayden allows the crowd to sing with him and he smiles when they do

[Chorus]
1976 to 2005
Always remembered by her beautiful smile
Sarah, tattooed on her arm
Now Momma's gotta live on
Lullabye
Oh oh, lullabye

2001 to 2005
Always remembered by her beautiful smile
Katie tattooed on her arm
Grandmama's gotta live on

1976 to 2005
Always remembered by her beautiful smile
Sarah, tattooed on her arm
Now Momma's gotta live on
Lullabye

Lullabye

He keeps strumming while playing the song and keeps singing the last note.

Lullabye

Lullabye

Lullabyeeeeeeeeee

As the crowd cheers he starts playing his new song, Take Me On

Ooooooooh, yeah, yeah, yeah

[Verse 1]
It happened one warm summer night
The wind and rain collided right
Below the stars and fell all over me

I saw it all before my eyes
How she used the gray to twist the sky
And the flash of light to cut the rolling sea

And on top of the hill where God sits on his throne
A gentle giant wave appeared and took him down below

Hayden points to the crowd again to sing.

UserPostedImage

[Chorus]
Take me on
All alone, take me on take me on
All of life take me on, take me onnn, love take me on, take me on, onn take me on, take me on
Take me on, ohhh take me on

[Verse 2]
As the wave came close I tried to flee
But it swept me right off my feet
And a gentle touch pulled me down below

There were dolphins dancing everywhere
And mermaids with red glowing hair
And God shone on his throne like the sun

Passing wisdom trees filled with golden leaves
I could feel the warmth of a perfect melody

[Chorus]
Take me on!
All of life take me on, take me onn,
All of life take me on, take me onnn onnn all life take me on, take me on
Yeah Yeah take me on

Bluuue, blue Ve-elv, velvet Sea
Bluuue, Ve-elv, velvet Sea

Hayden stopped singing and let the crowd sing as he kept playing.

Overhead twelve fairies flew
And lit the sky green, red and blue
And the stars rearranged just for you

Take me on (Take me on), take me on (Take me on), take me on (Take me on), take me on (Take me on), take me on, (Take me on),

Take me on

Hayden walks to the back and changes guitars. He then starts to play a familiar tune which gets the crowd excited and they start cheering as he plays it. "Oh I know you know this song! Sing it with me!"

Vamanos!

[Verse 1]
Save me from this prison
Lord, help me get away
'Cause only you can save me now
From this misery

[Chorus]
Well I've been lost in my own place
And I'm getting' weary
How far is heaven?
And I know that I need to change
My ways of living
How far is heaven?
Lord, can you tell me?

Hayden tells them to clap along while he keeps playing.

[Verse 2]
I've been locked up way too long
In this crazy world
How far is heaven?
I just keep on prayin', Lord
I just keep on livin'
How far is heaven?
(Oh, Lord, can you tell me?)
How far is heaven?
(I just gotta know how far it is)
How far is heaven?
(Oh, Lord, can you tell me?)

UserPostedImage

Tu que estas en alto cielo, hechame tu bendicion.

'Cause I know there's a better place
In this place I'm livin'
How far is heaven?
So I just got to show some faith
And just keep on givin'
How far is heaven?

"How far is it Spain? Let me hear you!"

(Oh, Lord can you tell me)
How far is heaven?
(I just gotta know how far it is)
How far is heaven?
(Oh, Lord, can you tell me?)
How far is heaven?
I just gotta know how far
I just wanna know how far

Hayden smiles at the crowd. "Thank you! You've been a beautiful crowd! Ladies feel free to meet me backstage!" He winked at them and then walked off stage.

The crowd cheered. Reported Failure had just made their way to the stage, and were preparing to play. This time there was nothing fancy. No floating in on a hot air balloon, entering stage in complete darkness, nothing fancy, just Reported Failure there to play their music. At first there was blank guitar tone. Drums joined in to form a fast beat. The bass and both guitars were going soon. The crowd screamed. They were delighted to hear Reported Failure. Then it all stopped. There was nothing. No noise. Billie Beckett approached the mic.

Billie: We are Reported Failure!

The crowd erupted once more.

Billie: GO!

Billie Beckett, Vin Peters, Matt Collins, and Robert Edwards began firing on all cylinders. The drums were fast, the guitars were loud, the bass was aggressive and powerful. It was punk rock at it's best. They began playing the first song which was possibly the best example of a Reported Failure punk rock anthem.

When the world's turned inside out
The sun only shines to show the bombs fall
Every minute I survive
It's another minute to watch all my friends die
Even if there is a god above
I lost my religion when I saw the war he caused
(The war he caused)

(The war everyone caused)

(We have to)
Disarm the bombs!
Try to stop the blood!
(Can't we?)
Disarm the gods!
Before their world is gone!
I wont stand up
Because I know the pain I've caused
I will back down
Because I know I've exhausted my cause

When the sky burns with doomsday flames
Finally it matches the fire burning in my soul
None of earth makes it to heaven
We're so bitter we kill just for a taste of Eden's sweet fruit
The smoke rises so thick
I hope it blocks out the light, just so I can't see the pain
(See the pain)

(THe pain that the war caused)

(We have to)
Disarm the bombs!
Try to stop the blood!
(Can't we?)
Disarm the gods!
Before their world is gone!
I wont stand up
Because I know the pain I've caused
I will back down
Because I know I've exhausted my cause

Once again everything stops. Billie holds the microphone out to the crowd who sing the first few lines of the bridge. He joins them. The crowd, Billie, Matt, and Vin all sing the bridge harmoniously. Then the instruments join back in to play the final chorus.

Take me to the fire
To the climax of horror
Make like a leader
And lead me to the end
Make it fast like the jet planes
All falling from the sky
The war only ends
With the destruction of day and night

(We have to)
Disarm the bombs!
Try to stop the blood!
(Can't we?)
Disarm the gods!
Before their world is gone!
I wont stand up
Because I know the pain I've caused
I will back down
Because I know I've exhausted my cause

Billie: How are we doing tonight?

The crowd answers him with a mixture of words and cheers.

Billie: We put an album out earlier this year. We're going to play a few songs from it now.

Vin and Robert begin playing the very quirky intro to what is argueably Reported Failure's biggest song 'Manufactured Radio'. The fans sing along to every word. At halftime Vin plays a guitar solo that differs from the one on the recorded version slightly. After what fans are used to he goes off shredding for another measure. It goes over well.

You got soul
Hidden in this remote control
you turn it on (off on off on off on off)
you got style
With your skin tight jeans
And your angsty graphic t-shirt
you take it off (on off on off on off on)

So when you walk down the street, hope you know youre doin it for me
And that voice in the back of your head, that’s me
And your words, I wrote them for you
So you can be the radio

What happened… to anything
you swear it wasn’t like this just the other day
What happened to living?
And being something just so you could say
“I’ll go my own way”

You got beat
Through some digital screen
You turn it on (Off on off on off on off)
You got licks
Through your guitar picks
You stroke it up (down up down up down up down)

So when you breathe fuck or sleep I hope you know that youre doin it for me
Every note you’ve sang, that was me
And your words, I wrote them for you
So you can be the radio

What happened… to anything
you swear it wasn’t like this just the other day
What happened to living?
And being something just so you could say
“I’ll go my own way”

Though you try (try try try try try try)
You cant escape me
I am the mafia
I am the radio
I am Sirius top 40 hits
I am the radio
I am the radio
I am the fucking radio

What happened… to anything
you swear it wasn’t like this just the other day
What happened to living?
And being something just so you could say
“I’ll go my own way”

I am the fucking radio

Billie: How about Mr. Vin Peters, everybody?

The crowd erupts in cheers. There is a pause with some slight noise while Vin retunes his guitar. He then signals to the rest of the band that he is ready. Billie starts playing a fast fun chord progression. Billie sings the hook to the next song 'Everything We've Done' calmly, but then he seems to explode with aggression and swagger at the same time the rest of the band joins in to play their parts of the song
UserPostedImage

We’re all, we’re all gone.
We’re hiding from something.
Please come into the light
Will it be alright?

They say weve destroyed the world of post-black and white
And were just here to pick fights
The bottlenecks done and were whats left behind
We’re just pissed off kids who call ourselves punk rock
You’ve kicked our arrogant asses out so many times
Because your head hurts and we left a mess behind

What are we?

Yea we’re a catastrophe
For making ourselves, weve dug ourselves in the dirt
Were stuck in endless cycles
Of wild mood swings but do we even want to get out
Maybe we’ve found ourselves?

I screw with what you know
I’d fuck you all if given the chance
I’m irresponsible
But I’ll make it

Yea we’re a catastrophe
For making ourselves, weve dug ourselves in the dirt
Were stuck in endless cycles
Of wild mood swings but do we even want to get out
Maybe we’ve found ourselves?

Catastrophe…

Everything stops. Billie looks out at the crowd.

Billie: You know what to do.

He conducts the fans to sing the last part of the song.

We are a post-grunge catastrophe
Making a scene while your city sleeps
We’ve found our home now

Billie: Shout out to our friend Matt Collins who wrote that last song. He actually wrote a lot of songs on the new album.

Matt: If the song has a chorus and then some other random words in places then I was probably the one who wrote it.

Billie: Alright, were gonna do a couple of slow ones now.

Billie picks up an acoustic guitar and begins to strum. As he sings drums and calm lead guitar join in. The full band plays the chorus, but it retains a much calmer feel than most of Reported Failure's other songs. Billie's soothing vocals set the tone for the song from the first words until after the final note.

I thought I could run away
Find a town where im just a lonely stranger
Try to quit wasting away the days
But im growing old and its getting later
If this is all I’ll ever be. Then what am I doing here?
I’m a catastrophe, yeah!

These pills
Could never work fast enough
To stop this, to stop this
My life
Is a vast, dark chasm until I die
Cause I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist
I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist
I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist

Look at the world
Think to yourself
Is this good enough
Is this gonna help?
But I know how you can live today, or you can die tomorrow
Just listen to me say
Im a catastrophe, yeah!

These pills
Could never work fast enough
To stop this, to stop this
My life
Is a vast, dark chasm until I die
Cause I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist
I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist
I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist

We are, we are, we are, we are, we are, we are… A catastrophe, yeah! (But lets live that way)

These pills
Could never work fast enough
To stop this, to stop this
My life
Is a vast, dark chasm until I die
Cause I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist
I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist
I’m ruler of an empire that doesn’t exist

Billie: We've got just a couple more. Who's excited to hear more great music after us?

The crowd cheered. THe band signaled to eachother to start the next song. They began playing the very successful song "The Cure to Growing Older". It was loud, and Vin's opening riff joined by Billies soaring vocals defined the song.

Destroy… Destroy… Destroy…

Lets blow this off
And sink into our melodies
Too bad were long gone
We’ve been destroyed by our endless tragedies

The bombs go off, the war never ends
My time is up in this hospital bed
Oil and blood are all I can send
To my family before im dead

So lets destroy it all!
Lets just start over
Before we die I’ll meet you in a place…
Where we never fall
Where the world stays sober
Where these melodies are the cure to growing older
The cure to growing older

The world fights, darkness descends
We try to turn on the amps before this ends
So bring on the city streets, in the dark I welcome all
Anyone who can sing along
So steal some cars, you don’t have to go far
We’ll sing this out before the fall

Billie and Vin stopped. Robert and Matt continued. Matt went into a funky bass progression while Robert continued a solid drum beat.

Bille: Check out Mr. Matt Collins and Mr. Robert Edwards. Alright, were going to play the chorus. But as soon as we do I want something from you guys. I want everyone out in that crowd to go fucking insane. As soon as we start again everyone needs to go absolutely fucking crazy.

GO!

They all begin again as the chorus is played one last time. The crowd went insane. Some form of a mosh pit was nearly inescapable. There was crowdsurfing everywhere. It wasn't just the crowd. As always Reported Failure was going insane also. There wasn't a moment where Robert wasn't playing at high energy, Billie wasn't at least moving somewhat, and Vin and Matt were firmly on the ground.

Billie: Don't stop now!

They played the chorus again. It got so intense that the band were sure that they would never be invited back to The Festival De Musica again. The song ended and the crowd gave a massive cheer. THe band paused for barely a moment before the noise had begun again. It was fast, loud, powerful, and aggressive. It was the band's first song to reach the top 20 airplay charts. It was 'Testimony'. The crowd had big shoes to fill if they were going to get as crazy as they did for the last song, but the crowd looked like a raging ocean. No man woman or child was still including everyone on stage including Billie, Vin, Matt, and Robert.

When the world ends, we'll still be fihgting
Screaming and yelling, but no one hears a word
We'll be standing on the rooftops
We'll be watching to see a friendly face
Before we all burn in hell, I hope someone remembers my face

As I screamed my testimony from the rooftop
As I jumped my life away to prove a point
My last words remained unwritten
The memory of me, already fading away

When the sky turns black from the bombs
The world will see the scars they've made
They'll be sitting in their lifeboats
Crying for the hope of another day
Before they all burn in hell, I hope someone remembers my face

As I screamed my testimony from the rooftop
As I jumped my life away to prove a point
My last words remained unwritten
The memory of me, already fading away

When we arrive, there wont be anyone to drown out your thunder
People will see who they really are
When we arrive there wont be anyone for you to hide under
Your world will fall with the one you've destroyed

As I screamed my testimony from the rooftop
As I jumped my life away to prove a point
My last words remained unwritten
The memory of me, already fading away

Billie: Thank you guys. You were fantastic! Stick around for the rest of the acts. Goodnight!

Reported Failure left the stage. They were backstage when they heard something. It was the crowd. At first they could barely here it. Then it steadily grew louder and louder. The crowd was chanting. They were chanting for more Reported Failure. Matt, Vin, Billie, and Robert all looked around at eachother.

Robert: what are we doing back here? Let's get out there!

The four guys run back onstage. The crowd goes nuts.

Billie: I've honestly no idea what time were supposed to get off of this stage. But you know what, were going to go over our time anyway. I don't know who is hedlining tonight, but we'll just let 'em be pissed at us.

Vin: I think it's Mind

Billie: Shit!

Vin: What? We aren't scared of those guys.

Billie: i know we aren't scared of Mind, but when their metalhead fans jump us tonight we're screwed. Alright. Well, were playing one more anyway. This song you might no it's called "I Know You". Now everyone GET FUCKING CRAZY!

Just as Billie shouts those last three words the music starts with fast guitar playing from Billie, a nice drum beat from Robert, and catchy bass line from Matt. At the same time because he has nothing to do until halfway through the song, Vin runs and jumps straight into the energetic crowd. The massive fans favorite plus Vin's crowdsurfing made the area around the stage complete insanity, but the good kind. When he manages to get off of the top of the crowd, which takes until the second half of the second verse Vin joins the mosh pit and simply adds to the insanity.

Running away
You say it's not what I think it is
You say "When lifes catches up
We'll see the wrong (See the wrong), the wrong we've done"

Oh hun we lack decision
Bad incisions were made
Were made to clean up all the wounds
Were made to clean up the flesh wounds
From the stab of this place

I've known you so many years
And now I know you're lying
Know you're lying
Know you're lying
And I've known you, and known this town
I know you want to get out
Want to get out
Want to get out
So don't lie to me

Oh I'm thinking of the memories
The memories of being you and me
Every single day our bodies grey closer (Every day)
We were just growing apart (Growing apart)
It doesn't matter if we share the same dreams
Cause the only way you know is to get there by selling your soul

I've known you so many years
And now I know you're lying
Know you're lying
Know you're lying
And I've known you, and known this town
I know you want to get out
Want to get out
Want to get out
So don't lie to me

At this point Vin with the help of one massive concert secuirity guard got back up onstage. He picked up his guitar just in time to play the lead guitar progression at the bridge. Then everything quieted down as Billie sang the bridge together with the crowd before everyone went insane for one last time on the last chorus.

So tomorrow I'm gonna start driving
Driving to a place where you'll never find me
My back will be turned and I know thats how you like it
You can find another boy who you like better
but just dont say you love him
Unless you know you can handle the weather
The bad weather

I've known you so many years
And now I know you're lying
Know you're lying
Know you're lying
And I've known you, and known this town
I know you want to get out
Want to get out
Want to get out
So don't lie to me

Don't say you love him
Unless you can run away with him
(Dont say it. Never say it)

Billie: Thank you Spain! We'll see you around. Goodnight!

OOC: Mine will go up but will be delayed, because this place dying meant that I lost the last 1000 words of it.

BOOK OF LOVE

@

Festival De Música

“OI OI OI! Look mom! I’m on the fucking television! They gave us a spot ahead of Reported Failure, Ha! This comeback show must be big on everyones’ horizon!” Laura Paige shouts on the microphone that sits next to her drumset. Peter stands next to her, tuning his guitar for the upcoming show. “This is going to be crazy! Hopefully all of you crazy sons of bitches loved Sammy Griffin, he’s a hard act to open after!”

Peter plays a quick practice riff, short and melodic and the fierce crowd cheers in response.

“Great, great! You’re ready for this! We got 45 minutes to convince you we’re gonna be more kick-ass than the bands before us. ON EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! It’s Sunday, so you guys are probably partied out, we’re gonna start out loud and angry, then work up to quiet and slow and then go back to being loud and angry. 45 minutes bitches, start the clock!”

---

Song: Frozen Fire

---

I never painted myself a soldier

When it comes to modern toil though

Doesn’t look like I’ll get a day older

These words, are close to your heart

Those words, are close to your days that you’d never remember

So I guess that’s why I’ll be here in December

Breaking those old sayings about Quick Starts

Peter’s quickfire strumming gives this song its new-age sound which is very raw and his noise-rock base can still be noted from it. Still the quickness and lack of notable feedback leaves Laura’s drumming many spots to capitalize upon. Peter’s newfound long hair leaves him headbanging as the song reaches its chrous and Laura soon joins him while she sings the chorus.

I stand by this fire

With broken dreams and

Open eyes staring forward while I wait for that of my desires

I hold you

Hold you close to my heart

Hold you close to my dreams

The whole beat and tempo slows down as Pete’s strums become slower and more delicate. Laura’s drumming turning into a single hit every five seconds.

Whoever told there kids they couldn’t be stars

Clearly didn’t watch me

So keep your sights up and you’ll head far

Just watch and see

Watch and see

The skies filled with the love and joy

Just watch and see

Nature’s natural foil in action over time

Over time

One last cymbal hit and the song ends as the crowd cheers.
---

As their next song ends, Peter moves to his microphone before beginning to speak. “This next song is really new. We’re hoping to record it for the new album, this is a very rough edit so bear with us now. It’s called Bagniokeeper. This is it.”

---

BAGNIOKEEPER
---

Peter walks to the back of the stage, turning on several(4 to be exact) of the backup amps that they brought with them for their noisier songs. “It’s gonna get loud.” He states, as he moves to the other side of the stage, turning on another four amps. Eight altogether, with that he looks over to Laura before nodding.

“1, 2. 1, 2. 1, 2, 3, 4!”

Peter makes a quick strum, feedback resonates and he smirks once the feedback ends. Shortly after this he begins a steady guitar riff which booms from the amps, he looks to Laura and nods as she begins her own drumming. She steps on her bass pedal and begins slow drumming that backs up Peter’s riff. She opens her mouth and begins the song:

He told me ‘Look towards the future honey

You’ll never stop running if you look back

Keep your hands away from loose money

I don’t want running to become your knack’

I look towards the steps I take

Hoping to make amends with every breath

So you’d better pray for your and my sake

That this’ll be a quick and painless death

Peter begins to head bang as his long hair splays in all directions while he begins his feedback heavy guitar solo, Laura’s drumming halts. The fans cheer as Peter’s guitar playing gets progressively louder, soon he stomps down on his distortion pedal and his solo becomes chopped and strayed. His headbanging stops and the solo does too after a moment, so that Laura can sing the chorus:

You can’t be a pimp and a prostitute too

So play like the rest of us and pay your dues

You can’t be a pimp and a prostitute too

So play like the rest of us and pay your dues

Peter holds a single note, letting the feedback resonate through the crowd before he throws his guitar into the sea. “GOODNIGHT BARCELONA! WE DON’T DO ENCORES! IT’S DICKISH TO THE BAND AFTER US! So stay tuned for some fucking HANNAH BETH, followed by SANITARY TOWEL and then MIND! Hope you enjoyed us!”

Hannah Beth Festival de Musica Performance

Red = Crowd
Orange = Back up Singers

The crowd is cheering and ready for the next performance. Hannah is backstage saying a little prayer before she walks onstage. She hugs her back up singers and wishes them luck as she hears her music, Goodbye start to play. The crowd is waiting in anticipation and then silence. Hannah starts singing the first verse of the song.

(Verse 1)
You betrayed me,
I heard you lie,
You broke my heart,
And made me cry,
I had loved you,
With all my heart,
But you cared not,
Right from the start.

Hannah walks out with her back up singers while singing the Pre-Chorus.

UserPostedImage

(Pre-chorus)
But I forgave,
Tried to forget,
Believed my love,
Was all forfeit,
I healed my heart,
As best I could,
Gave up on you,
I knew I should.

(Chorus)
So say goodbye
Goodbye to me
Its over now
Why can’t you see?
You had it all
Right from the start
You played the fool
And lost my heart
Goodbye (x7)

Hannah starts to dance as she sings the last line of the chorus and then she starts to sing the next verse.

(Verse 2)
You tell my friends,
That you love me,
And now I write,
This song to you,
I don't know if,
You're true or not,
Can't trust your word,
With what I've got.

(Pre-chorus)
But I forgave,
Tried to forget,
Believed my love,
Was all forfeit,
I healed my heart,
As best I could,
Gave up on you,
I knew I should,

(Chorus)
So say goodbye
Goodbye to me
Its over now
Why can’t you see?
You had it all
Right from the start
You played the fool
And lost my heart
Goodbye (x7)

”Barcelona! ¿Está usted listo para la fiesta?” The crowd roars in response and Hannah smiles then sings the bridge.

(Bridge)
I fell in love,
With someone new,
Felt happier,
Than I ever do,
Then you appear,
Back in my life,
I got confused,
So full of strife! (Yeah)
La, La, La, La, La, La, La, La, La, La (La, La) x2
You may be true,
Or you may lie,
But truth remains,
I'll say goodbye.
La, La, La, La, La, La, La, La, La, La (La, La) x2

(Chorus)
So say goodbye
Goodbye to me
Its over now
Why can’t you see?
You had it all
Right from the start
You played the fool
And lost my heart (x2)
Goodbye (x7)

(Whisper) Goodbye.

After Hannah finishes she smiles to the crowd again and speaks into the microphone. ” It's good to be in Spain! I love you guys so much and I promise to give you a show you will never forget!” The crowd cheers and Hannah continues speaking. ”Right now, I have a special treat for you. It's no secret that i have a passion for singing and performing. So I wanted to share with you the one woman who began it all for me.” When she finishes, Como La Flor starts to play and Hannah starts dancing with her singers again, twirling and doing simple dance steps that she learned from watching her idol, Selena, perform while she sung this same song. She starts to clap her hands to the beat, encouraging the audience who do the same.

[Verse 1]
Yo se que tienes un nuevo amor
Sin embargo te deseo lo mejor
Si en mi no encontraste felicidad
Tal vez alguien mas
Te la dara

”Let me hear you!”

[Chorus]
Como la flor (Como la flor)
Con tanto amor (Con tanto amor)
Me diste tu
Se marchito
Se marcho hoy
Yo se perder
Pero ay, ay, ay como me duele

She holds the microphone out and the audience sings back to her,
Ay, ay, ay como me duele
Hannah laughs and then walks to the other side of the stage while.

[Verse 2]
Si vieras como duele perder tu amor
Junto a dios te llevas mi corazon
No se si pueda volver a amar
Porque te di todo el amor que pude dar
Como la flor

[Chorus]
Como la flor (Como la flor)
Con tanto amor (Con tanto amor)
Me diste tu
Se marchito
Se marcho hoy
Yo se perder

Pero ay, ay, ay como me duele
Ay, ay, ay como me duele

[Chorus]
Como la flor (Como la flor)
Con tanto amor (Con tanto amor)
Me diste tu se marchito
Se marcho hoy
Yo se perder

Pero ay, ay, ay como me duele
Ay, ay, ay como me duele
Ay, ay, ay como me duele

The lights go off and it gets silent again. Hannah slowly holds the microphone up to her mouth and the lights turn back on and she starts counting and smiling.

Cuatro!
Tres!
Dos!
Uno!

Hannah starts dancing all around the stage and singing while the lights change colors and some pyro starts to shoot into the sky making it look like fireworks.

Bidi bidi bom bom
Bidi bidi bom bom

[Verse 1]
Cada Vez
Cada Vez Que Lo Veo Pasar
Mi Corazon Se Enloquece
Y Me Empieza A Palpitar

Y Se Emociona (Y Se Emociona)

Bidi Bidi Bidi Bidi Bidi Bom Bom

Me canta así, me canta a ti
Cada vez que lo veo pasar
Mi corazón se enloquece..
Cada vez que lo veo pasar
Y me empieza a palpitar
Así, Así

Hannah stops singing and she claps her hands together and starts counting again.

Cuatro (Cuatro)
Tres (Tres)
Dos (Dos)
Uno! (Uno)

Her and her dancers start to dance while the music plays and the crowd cheers. The guitarist starts playing a solo as Hannah dances and she looks out into the crowd and yells, ”Vamos!” and starts to sing the chorus again while the crowd sings back to her.

[Chorus]
Bidi Bidi Bom Bom (Bidi Bidi Bom Bom)
Bidi Bidi Bom Bom (Bidi Bidi Bom Bom)
Bidi Bidi Bidi Bidi Bidi (Bom Bom)
Bidi Bidi Bidi Bidi Bidi (Bom Bom)

The song ends and Hannah is out of breathe and she smiles while she sits on a stool that is brought out for her to sit on. "I'm so glad to be here and I love the energy I'm feeling tonight! But now it's time to slow things down a bit. I recently wrote a song about my mother called Break Free and I wanted to share it with you guys, is that alright?!" The crowd cheers back in response and Break Free starts to play.

(Verse 1)
You never hit me, I wish you had
Those wounds heal quicker, they don't hurt as bad.
Being a kid should have been my only concern
But I guess because you missed your childhood, you thought it was your turn.
I never asked you for much, just a little love
But you couldn't even give me that when push came to shove.
Its always been about you and how you could be happy,
You've always talked so bad about him, but you're no better than daddy.

UserPostedImage

(Chorus)
You didn't hold my hand or wipe away my tears,
You didn't help me build my dreams, you only added to my fears.
Your mom did it to you, so you passed it on to me
I hope from this cycle that I can break free.

(Verse 2)
I want to hold my daughter's hand, I want to help her dress for prom.
I want to do all the things right that you did so wrong.
I'll be at her games, there's not one I will miss
I'll make sure every single scar gets a healing kiss.
She'll know that I love her, I won't leave room for doubt.
Understanding and affection are things she'll never do without.
I'll tuck her in bed and help her say her prayers
I'll wish her sweet dreams, I'll do everything to show her mommy cares.

(Chorus)
You didn't hold my hand or wipe away my tears,
You didn't help me build my dreams, you only added to my fears.
Your mom did it to you, so you passed it on to me
I hope from this cycle that I can break free.

UserPostedImage

(Bridge)
I'll be the mother I never had, something you wouldn't know.
I'll do what I can to be my daughter's own personal hero.
For her there is nothing I wouldn't do,
That's more than I could ever say for you.

(Chorus)
You didn't hold my hand or wipe away my tears,
You didn't help me build my dreams, you only added to my fears.
Your mom did it to you, so you passed it on to me
I hope from this cycle that I can break free. (x2)

Your mother did it to you, so you passed it on to me
I hope from this cycle that I can break free…

Hannah holds the last note for about 10 seconds and then sings the last part again.

Your mother did it to you, so you passed it on to me
I hope from this cycle that I can break free…

She smiles and takes a sip of water from the bottle brought to her by one of her back up singers then gives it back while she pushes the stool out of her way. ”Okay, so I've been in this business for a while now and I just wanna see tonight who my true fans are.” She smiles as her song Catch Your Eye starts playing.

(Chorus)
Did I open your mind,
Did I steal your gaze,
Did I leave you speechless,
Are you caught in a daze,
Tell me did I catch your eye?

(Verse 1)
Let me ask you a simple question
I just want you to reply
I just wanna know one little thing
Did I catch your eye?
I’ve noticed you’ve been watching
And im hoping that you like what you see
Tell me do I get the pleasure
Of you talking to little ol’ me?

UserPostedImage

(Chorus)
Did I open your mind,
Did I steal your gaze,
Did I leave you speechless,
Are you caught in a daze,
So tell me did I catch your eye?
Is it cus of my smile,
The little things I do,
Am I driving you wild,
Tell me its not true
So did I catch your eye?

(Verse 2)
I swear that I didn’t mean it,
It’s like I took you down with just one hit.
I tried to warn you about me,
But you just wouldn’t quit.
So let me ask you a simple question,
I just want a small reply,
Tell me did I catch your eye?

(Chorus)
Did I open your mind,
Did I steal your gaze,
Did I leave you speechless,
Are you caught in a daze,
So tell me did I catch your eye?
Is it cus of my smile,
The little things I do,
Am I driving you wild,
Tell me its not true
So did I catch your eye?

She stops singing and holds the microphone out to see if they continue singing and surprisngly to her they do.

UserPostedImage

(Bridge)
Ooooooh, I've gotta feeling
That tonight is you're night
But then again
I think that you'll be alright
So go take a cold shower
And get me out of your mind
But before you leave
You gotta answer me something...

(Chorus)
Did I open your mind,
Did I steal your gaze,
Did I leave you speechless,
Are you caught in a daze,
So tell me did I catch your eye?
Is it cus of my smile,
The little things I do,
Am I driving you wild,
Tell me its not true
So did I catch your eye? (Eyeee, Eye, Eye) (x2)

The music stops and Hannah stands there looking out into the crowd catching her breathe and then another song starts up and Hannah begins singing again.

(Verse 1)
The weekends almost done
The moon is low in the sky
I feel like goin out
Before the night passes by
I won't just sit around
When life becomes a drag
I dance, Baby I dance.

(Pre-Chorus)
I like the bass (turn it up, turn it up, turn it up)
I like the boom (turn it up, turn it up, turn it up)
I need guitar (turn it up, turn it up, turn it up
I like that drum when it goes (boom boom boom)

(Chorus)
Let's dance
What the weekend
What the night is all about
Let's dance
Grab your girlfriends
Grab your boyfriends
Sweat it out
Let's dance
(Move your whole body)
(Let's start the party)

(Speak/rap)
Too much rock for one girl can make her go crazy
I need someone to dance with me baby

(Dance)

(Verse 2)
The musics on (turn it up, turn it up, turn it up)
My favorite song (turn it up, turn it up, turn it up)
The beat is strong (turn it up, turn it up, turn it up)
We'll dance
Come on

(Chorus)
Let's dance
What the weekend
What the night is all about
Let's dance
Grab your girlfriends
Grab your boyfriends
Sweat it out
Let's dance
(Move your whole body)
(Let's start the party)

(Dance)

Keep movin!

Crank it up!
Yeah

(Bridge)
When the night says hello
Yeah get ready to go
Turn it up
Turn it loose
Yeah you got no excuse
Just take a chance

Hannah points to the crowd and yells, "Sing!"

Todo el mundo,

que causa un poco de calor más.
Tal vez en el dormitorio,
tal vez en el suelo,
no dejan de moverse,
al igual Vamos a bailar!

(Hannah)
Barcelona let's dance!

(Chorus)
Let's dance

What the night is all about
Let's dance
Grab your girlfriends
Grab your boyfriends
Sweat it out
Let's dance

(Let's dance)
And let's start the party (x2)

Vamos a bailar!

Hannah walks to the other side of the stage and waves to the fans. ”So since you guys are all my fans, you guys are my fans right?!” The crowd cheers and Hannah smiles. ”I thought so! I have a this song that I dedicated to all exes everywhere or anyone who has been hurt by a guy or maybe a girl.” Run, Devil, Run starts to play and Hannah starts singing while the colors change again.

[Verse 1]
I always knew you were a bad boy
I used to think that it was cool
You took me down just like a Rob Roy
But now I'm com-ing next to you

[Pre-Chorus]
Run, Devil, Run Run Devil, Run Run
Run Devil Devil Run Run

I never knew about your red horns
I never saw your evil start
You used to be what I would live for
But then you went and slapped my heart

[Bridge]
The promises that you promised
Are about as real as an air guitar
So watch your back cause I'm gonna steal your car

[Chorus:]
You better run, run, run, run, run
Cause there's gonna be some hell to pay
You better run, run, run, run, run
And that's the only thing I'm gonna say, hey
I wish I’d known right from the start
That I was dancing with the dark
You better run
Devil, Run, Run, Devil, Run Run
Run Devil Devil Run Run

[Verse 2]
Now that your living with the vampires
You better get yourself a gun
I'll make ya sing just like a boy's choir
I'll string you up to have some fun

[Pre-Chorus]
Run, Devil, Run Run, Devil, Run Run
Run Devil Devil Run Run

The crowd cheered again and Hannah's last song started to play. While the beginning of the song played, Hannah started talking again. "This last song is my newest single and I hope you love it as much as I do. This one is called Animal."

[Verse 1]
Open your eyes,
To the whole world,
See their spirits everywhere.

And we are
Just two little pawns
In the game of life,
Don't you feel it in the air?

UserPostedImage

[Pre-Chorus]
So if it's just tonight,
The animal inside,
Let it live and die.

Like it's the end of time,
Like everything inside,
Let it live and die.

[Chorus]
This is our last chance,
For a better romance
So just release that anxious animal inside.
The night is fading, heart is racing.
Now just come and love me like we're gonna die.

Oooooh.

[Verse 2]
I am so sly,
I won't give up the fight
The story won't be tragic
And we will live,
together as one
Like it's pure magic
[Pre-Chorus]
So if it's just tonight,
The animal inside,
Let it live and die.

[Chorus]
This is our last chance,
For a better romance
So just release that anxious animal inside.
The night is fading, heart is racing.
Now just come and love me like we're gonna die.

Oooooh.

[Chorus]
This is our last chance, Give me your hands.
'Cause our world is spinning at the speed of light (It’s at the speed of)
The night is fading, heart is racing.
Now just come and love me like we're gonna die.
Oooooh.

Hannah holds her hands out and moves them as if she were conducting as the crowd caught on pretty quickly and started to sing.

Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh
Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh
Oh, Oh, Oh.

Hannah smiles and bows to the crowd. "Thank you so much for being a wonderful audience! Me comprometo a volver de nuevo!" The audience cheers as Hannah walks off the stage.

Intro - Always

It had been a long twelve year period since the last time Sanitary Towel stood upon a festival stage as a collective unit. A dozen elongated years ago, a triumphant, emotional set at Scotland's Chaos For Cancer festival, had cemented Sanitary Towel's widely regarded position as the best live band of their time, and bound them deeply in the eternally perennial debate of who was the best band live band of all time.
However, 12 years is no short period of time. A lot of water had passed under the bridge since then. Two of the original Sanitary Towel members had gone on to achieve very little from their lives, removing themselves completely from the spotlight which had once drowned them in a luscious plethora of adoration, glory, and a little sweat and tears. Another member had gone on to much bigger and better things. Scott H, the enigmatic guitarist of Sanitary Towel, had gone on to ensure that his name was one which would be etched in the history of metal for all time. Releasing 15 albums and embarking on some of the ferocious world tours in living memory, tours which spawned the careers of bands such as Mind and Reckoner, Blood Of Wecz, and their immortal frontman, had engraved their name into the very foundations of music itself.
That was all in the past though. History means nothing when 300,000 people stand before you. 300,000 people who are there to see not just one band. 300,000 people who demand to be impressed. Sanitary Towel had to deliver, and they had to deliver tonight.

Without warning, the stage lights flash brightly and then simultaneously go out. At the precise second this happens, the PA dies, and a roar of mammoth proportion from the crowd rocks the Camp Nou to it's core.
After about ten seconds of silence, a crackling noise can be heard over the PA, like someone is putting an old vinyl record onto a turntable. Very quietly at first, but with a steadily increasing volume, the orchestral masterpiece, Rabbia E Tarrantella by Ennio Morricone (The DVD title track from "Inglorious Basterds") can be heard sliding it's way out of every speaker in the stadium. The track has an upbeat, yet atmospheric marching sensation laced throughout, and the audience clap along in time to it.
All of a sudden, the track is interrupted by a bellowing drum fill, and a cacophony of double kick bass beats, and a spotlight flickers on, revealing the unusually monickered Turtle perched confidently behind his drum kit. In true Spinal Tap fashion, he crosses the sticks and stands tall above his kit, lapping up wave after wave of cheering from the crowd, before sitting down and playing another breathtaking drum solo....the kind that makes you feel like you want to cough with every thundering battering note.
Moments later, another wave of cheering engulfs the stage as a second spotlight ignites the engaging figure of bassist Jaroslav Bures. Bures walks calmly, but purposely to the centre of the stage. He stands beside a microphone...but it's not the lead microphone. The microphone beside it looks as if it is destined for only the words of a true legend to grace.
The orchestral music stops abruptly, and the crowd cheer and chant the name of the band with a vigour that cannot have been expected after such a long break. Bures holds a hand up to ask for silence and the plethora of joyous noises slowly fades to nothing. Just then, the voice of another famous Scot, Gerard Butler, in the guise of King Leonidis, erupts, bellowing magnificently from the PA.

"Spartans! What Is Your Profession? HA-OOOH! HA-OOOH! HA-OOOH!"

On the third chant, a massive power chord drowns out the movie quote, and the stage, which has been in darkness for an extended period, is suddenly bathed in a bright, almost angelic light. The inimitable form of Sanitary Towel frontman Scott H, pink mohawk and all, stands centre stage, basking in the pure delight of those who are now able to see their hero at last. He is dressed rather weirdly, considering that they are in Spain in the middle of summer. Perhaps a trench coat and studded trousers are a tad much, but he looks delighted to be there. After soaking up the atmosphere for a moment or two, the frontman takes a guitar, a beautiful ebony Gibson SG from a roadie and straps it on, ready to go.

UserPostedImage

A firework emanates from each side of the stage at this point, the explosion acting as the musical cue to the band, who career straight into the instantly recognisable intro of punk-metal classic "Always", their biggest hit from their world-renowned second album of the same name. As the crowd bounces in time, encouraged by the actions of Bures, H flamboyantly strums each and every one of the power chords which lend the song it's iconic, edgy sound, his left hand caressing the fretboard with the deft touch of an expert craftsman, his right hand striking the strings like a crazed butcher. All the while, the frontman continues wailing the lyrics into his microphone with all the intensity and vigour of a true performer.
Any prior fear of Sanitary Towel having been forgotten is completely blown out of the water by the time they reach the first chorus of their set opener, as Scott's voice is almost totally drowned out by the assembled masses before him. A veritable wall of his own lyrics striking him straight in the face as he stands in front of his microphone, barely even able to sing himself through the massive smile which is spread from ear to ear.
By the time the track reaches it's conclusion, the band are clearly feeling the energy of the crowd, and a blistering finale, heralded by the rumbling of Turtle's drum kit, and the screeching harmonics of Scott H's guitar leads to a roar of approval from the ecstatic fans. Scott H raises a victorious hand in the air as Turtle smashes the few final beats on the kit.

"Barcelona? Hell yeah! That was intense. Thank you so much. We are Sanitary Towel, from Edinburgh in Scotland. It's great to be here tonight. Let me hear you sing if you know this next one."

Smooth Applicator/Wings/Around Again

Scott H nods in the direction of Turtle, who bursts immediately into the fast drum roll which brings about the start of "Smooth Applicator", the first of a trio of tracks from Sanitary Towel's eponymous debut album. These tracks are unashamedly punk, no frills, no bells and whistles. They don't pretend to be from the gloriously high brow land of Infinite or the exquisitely technical corner of metal inhabited by Mind, but they are delivered with an accuracy and energy...a true electricity, that means they are hard to forget. Scott H attacks each of them with the same bounding enthusiasm, jogging around the stage, or pointing his guitar into the crowd like a rifle when he's not supposed to be singing.
The three songs tell stories of teenage angst, akin to the time of life the various band members were at when the songs were written. Amongst the flailing power chords and battering drums, we are treated to lyrics about vaginas, tits, periods and various different sanitary products. The songs may have a childish overtone to them, but the rapport between the band and crowd is evident, as the energy of the two opposing masses collides to spawn a real buzz, and a real sense of fun in every corner of the stadium.
Scott H, still wearing a coat in the blistering evening heat, is whipping the crowd into a frenzy with his repeated requests for circle pits, and the cheer he receives every time he screams, "Hola Barca" is quite breathtaking.

Oblivion

Scott H steps off to the side of the stage as Around Again comes to a faded end. The song drifts away in the cool Spanish night air, and the frontman takes off his trench coat at long last, to reveal a stud covered leather jacket. He hands a roadie his Gibson SG, and is handed, in return, a white custom McSwain guitar, the very kind he has been using since his days in Blood Of Wecz. He strums it a few times to hear the sound in his in-ear monitor and gives the guitar tech a thumbs up.
Walking to an amp at the back of the stage, Scott picks up a small glass, tiny it is, and takes it with him to the lead mic, sipping it slightly as he walks, and raising it in toast to the fans. As he reaches the mic, he looks down very deliberately at the guitar, and addresses his audience,

"I thought we could use something tuned a little lower for this next track. Sounds better" (He laughs). A small minority of the crowd cheers in anticipation after this comment. He takes a sip from the small glass again.

"What, this? It's sherry...yeah, secretly, deep down, I'm actually a 65 year-old granny," he laughs as the crowd sarcastically boo and he throws the empty glass to a roadie at side stage. His voice changes, and he sounds genuinely excited and full of beans as he says, "No no, my friends, I jest! You see, I always need a nice glass of sherry to warm up the vocal chords when it's time to screeeaaammm!" The predominantly metal crowd who have hung around to see Sanitary Towel and Mind raise the roof at this comment. "Anyone who has been paying attention will know that we intend to put a new album out some time this year! It's gonna be more metal than Towel have ever been before. Right now, we're gonna play a song from that album which we've never played before," he looks shiftily side to side. "Yeah, I mean literally. That fat guy at the back is gonna tap in four beats, and we're gonna hope that whatever we each play respectively sounds as if we've practiced it as a unit!
"But in all seriousness though, this has never been played live until tonight. We hope you like it, this is called "Oblivion!"

The stage lights dim, and an array of colourful lasers move slowly across the stage as Scott finger picks the slow, ambient, haunting intro to Sanitary Towel's new track. He sways his hips slowly from side to side as he plays, and the lasers appear to dance with him in harmony. As the guitar intro reaches a high pitched crescendo, H lifts his guitar in the air, urging the crowd to scream as his last note rings out, reverberating around the tall stands. Turtle counts in four beats on the hi-hat. As the stick connects with the brass cymbal for the fourth time, at that exact moment, Scott H stamps furiously on a pedal board in front of him, flipping the sound of his guitar completely, transforming it from a crooning, pianic falsetto wonder, into a growling, rabid beast, distorted and heavy.
The rest of the song sounds almost Blood Of Wecz-esque in composition. The music is heavy, and the screams are frequent, as Sanitary Towel thrash their way through a song which had been previously unheard. During a drum led interlude, Scott H leaps on the front stage monitors, beckoning to the crowd, and screaming "Come on!" before returning to the song, his left hand a mere blur as it assaults each and every note with frightening technical accuracy. The circle pits have opened for Sanitary Towel at last, and the biggest one, in the centre of the crowd, appears to be violently growing in size with every demonic note played.

Are We Afraid To Die?
Don't We All See That Some Day We Will Fly?
Our Spirits Soar As Our Bodies Turn To Ashes.
Oblivion Wiping Out The Assembled Masses.

The track comes to a close with a crash, and two blasts of fireworks from the side of the stage, which cross overhead.

Love Tunnel/Sex Addict

Scott thanks the audience, and turns back to the guitar tech, replacing the McSwain with an acoustic guitar. He strums a happy chord and the crowd cheer half-heartedly, bringing a smile from the frontman, as the other two members of Sanitary Towel vacate the stage. "I want to try something. Do you guys think I might play something a little lower-key? Something a little (French accent) "ambiént"?" A chorus of sarcastic booing has him laughing hysterically.

"Oh come on! I just played you a metal tune. It was gnarly maaaan! Anyway, I got the guitar and the mic, so I'm in control." he laughs and gestures to the audience, jokingly, holding his thumb and forefinger to his head in an "L" sign. He smiles again, clearly having a great time.

"Is anyone here in love? Yeah? If you're in love, please put your ass in the air! I'm kidding. Don't actually do that..it's like catnip to this guy," he says, nodding to Jaroslav Bures standing just off stage, and then guffawing as he deftly dodges a swift kick from the bassist.
"Where was I? Oh yeah! I wanna tell you about someone special. She's up in here tonight Barcelona. This guy here," he says, pointing to himself with his thumbs, "is in love...big style. So I thought to myself; "what better way to show my love than with a song right?" I don't have many ballady type love songs in my repertoire....one to be precise actually. And this is it. This song is called "Love Tunnel", and it's for you Gia. I love you."
He strums the opening chord of the song, and then stops again abruptly. A confused, concerned look is spread across his face.
"I should say actually, contrary to popular belief. And contrary to what I've said a million times since I wrote this track 14 years ago...it is not, and I repeat NOT about a vagina. Yeah, maybe all our other songs at that time were, but this was about love and...ummm.... safety and care." He desperately claws to try and save the sentiment in the song, before opting to just play the track, his face a slight red with embarrassment.

The track is a slowly strummed acoustic ballad. Scott sits on a stool in the centre of the stage to play it, illuminated by a dimmed spotlight on an otherwise dark stage, softly strumming his guitar, and allowing a side of his voice which is rarely heard to be showcased. His voice is surprisingly good for a metal singer, and sounds gentle and soft. He sings much of the song with his eyes closed as he feels the sentiments that he just verbally sent towards Gia. The song is most notable for its (apparently not) innuendo laden chorus. A chorus which stands out from the verses for being a lot faster and happier, and very catchy, allowing the crowd to eventually sing along to the words as they pick them up.

"You Remind Me Of A Place Where I Can Hide,
You Provide Me Comfort, So Safe And Warm Inside"

As he strums the final chord, and plays a slow picking section, one string at a time, the crowd cheer for Scott H, and Turtle, who has returned to the stage, plays an applause-like beat on the drum.
"Thank you!"
He stands up and throws his stool to the side of the stage. Walking over after he's thrown it, he hands his guitar over to a roadie again, but this time doesn't bother to exchange it for another one.
"So we played you a new song just a while back right? Well you know what goes well with the new stuff? That's right...the oooolllllddd stuff. So how about we play you the oldest song we have? It's so infantile that I don't even need a guitar. We didn't know what a bass was when we wrote it...we were 13...so Jaro can play guitar, and I can be free," he laughs. he leaps off the stage and stands in front of the fans in the front row.
"So....the campsite outside," he says, "Is there a lot of fucking going on? I'll bet there is! We're on the party bus this weekend. We've been here since Friday, and there is a LOT of fucking going on on that bus too, let me tell ya!......uuuunnnnfortunately for most of us, the vast majority of it is being conducted by Katie Coyle and her new French girlfriend." He laughs at his own comment, ""Unfortunately", right? There's a quote for my headstone." He raises his hand as if reading across his headstone, although the over elaborate hand gestures signal that he expects his own headstone to be twenty-seven feet tall. He probably does.
""Scott H.....1983 - 2097....blah blah blah....'unfortunately two hot lesbians were having sex on our bus.'" I'll be honest, that would make a trip to any cemetery much more bearable, if headstones said interesting shit like that."
He bounces around on the floor, as the fans try to reach out and touch him. "Anyway...this next song is dedicated to those who are NOT getting laid this weekend...I feel for you guys. Although, I also feel fucking terrified about becoming a hate figure. It takes balls to play a song about masturbation in a Catholic country...and on a Sunday to boot. I'd have been as well wearing a burkha and pissing on the pope...whilst reading the Da Vinci code...in Punjabi. Haha, anyway, this one is called, "Sex Addict".

"Sex Addict" is the most basic of songs possible to actually play. It contains only three chords, which are repeated over and over throughout the entire track, and a simple hi-hat/snare drum pattern, which also goes unchanged. Despite this, the song is fun, and is greeted with open arms by the crowd who lap it up. Scott stands down the front, high fiving people, jumping into the crowd, and generally enjoying himself. The highlight of the song is how clear it was, that even at the age of just 13, Scott H was a clever lyricist with an eye for a witty pun. At the end of the song, he climbs back on to the stage, looking tired, and out of breath.

"I'm Just A Sex Addict (Without Sex),
I Wish I Knew What Was Coming Next,
If Only I Thought It Could Be Me,
But I'm The Only One Who Wants To Please Me!"

The End Of Everything

"Woooo! Are we all having a good night out there tonight? Yeah! Well we have another couple of songs for you guys before the metal behemoth that is Mind take to the stage!" Cheering erupts from the crowd, and chanting for the Jason Smith led band means Scott has to wait before speaking again.
"Yeah! I'm proud to be sub-headlining to Mind. I knew them when they were just starting out, gave them sort of their break in the live arena. So now, it's great for me to see how they've blossomed! So proud." He pretends to wipe a tear from his eye.
Scott now has a guitar strapped over his shoulder again. The same white McSwain from before. He plays a few pinched harmonics as two drum techs fiddle around at the back, and sticks his tongue out to the crowd, as he plays various riffs on his guitar in the hold up.

"Ok, so I was told not to tell you this," he starts, "but the drum has a broken bass skin or something. Turtle has beat its ass so fucking hard that he ruptured that shit!" The crowd bellow their approval, and a sheepish looking turtle waves to them apologetically.
Scott H stands over to the side of the stage, and high on top of an amp, fearless apparently. He plays the opening riff to "Beat It", by Michael Jackson, to massive ovation, and then waves his hand as if to tell them to stop. He then leaps down and wanders back slowly to his microphone, whilst playing some sweep picking. It looks difficult as hell, but he remains as nonchalant as ever.

Scott starts to play another Michael Jackson song for some unknown reason. The "ooh ooh" parts of "Billie Jean" are provided by the enthusiastic in the crowd, and Scott laughs as he hits a pinch on every one of the "ooh's".

"Billie Jean is not my lover.....She says I am the one, But the kid is not my son"

As he finishes signing and plays a quick guitar solo, a thunderous double kick beat from the back of the stage suggests that the drums are good to go, and the crowd cheer in anticipation.
"I hope that cheer wasn't because I was stopped from singing," Scott jokes, "I don't even know where the Michael Jackson songs came from there. I just went with it." Another huge cheer comes straight towards the man of the moment.

"Ok....let me see!" He stands atop the monitors with his mic in his hand, and his other hand above his eyes, surveying the sea of bodies in front of him like a fleet admiral. He exudes the confidence of a higher authority throughout the show, and this power stance only serves to strengthen this imagery.
"We put out a new song last week. It didn't chart well, but I couldn't give a monkey's about charts. This is metal motherfuckers! Yeah! Let me hear- ok ok, so I was a little disappointed, right? Don't judge me." He leaps down from the monitor and walks back to his mic stand, placing the microphone back in position, and strumming his guitar again.
"Let's start for real again. We put out a new song last week. If you know that shit then go crazy and sing along. This is called "The End Of Everything"!

The track starts with the slow strumming section, as Scott asks the crowd to clap along in time. Back on the drums, Turtle sings the clean opening section of the song, before one almighty scream from Scott H brings about the hammering, thunderous new metal riffage from Sanitary Towel. Scott H head bangs in time to the track throughout the instrumental sections, and adopts a magnificently enigmatic power stance as he screams his vocals triumphantly into the microphone, laying waste to the joy-laden masses before him.
After five minutes of glorious heavy riffs and furious blast beats, Scott H asks the crowd if they have time to go crazy one last time in this track. They do. He asks for three circle pits around the stadium, which then lay waste to everything in their path as the song roars on... before it grinds to a meticulously heavy halt, eventually.

"Medicated State Of Mind,
Turn An Eye To Sin So Blind,
We Are All Pawns In This Great Game,
Our Lying Lives Will End In Shame"

PART TWO

The Bleeding

"Well, well, well. It seems we have come to the end of our time together," Scott H says in a strange English accent, pretending to twiddle a French style moustache in the process. "Again, I don't know what that was in aid of...at all." The truth is, there is no need for any reason behind anything he does. The man is all ego. The crowd love everything he does, and he just oozes class, style, fun, and talent. This is perhaps his most epic moment of his career, and he is determined to end it with a bang.

"Are you still a-liiiiive?" The crowd cheer. "o-kaaaaayyyyy! This one, you must know it...in fact, as they say on the internet...yeah that's right, I'm a cosmopolitan as fuck kinda guy. Or a geek. You choose. As they say on the internet...."Sing or GTFO", and if you want to replace sing with "Tits", then I'm not one to complain. Haha, I'm kidding."
This song is the one which made it all happen for us, it's called "THE BLEEDING""

The second Scott H announces the song title, a thumping drum beat, accompanied by a succession of fireworks sends all three band members into a frenzy. This track is the traditional set closer for Sanitary Towel, and they still love it as much as they always have. Scott H stamps a foot ferociously on the stage as he strums every chord, and flicks his mohawk side to side with every glorious note. To his right, Jaroslav Bures bounces around with an exuberance which is catching to a very bouncy crowd. And behind both, Turtle, partly obscured by his kit, is drenched in sweat and tears, as he feels the signature track to his core, planting his stick with the force of a freight train on every single beat.
This is without doubt the most commercial ST track ever written. Scott H admits to having written it with radio in mind, but still insists it's his favourite song by the band. His actions seem to back up his claim, as he darts around the stage, pointing to the crowd, and yelling out loud. He invites them to sing with him, and welcomes every enveloping yell of approval with a bow, and a roar from himself.

The crowd are primed, because they know how this set closer always finishes, with an a cappella line from the fans themselves. They wait and wait until Scott gives the signal. He plays the last chord and holds his guitar above his head, as he always does, smiling widely at the cheering fans, who scream back on cue, at a deafening volume, known by Scott H as "The hairdryer effect: because you not only hear the volume. You can feel it. Literally."

"We all know, you bled me dry, but tonight...tonight I saw you die!"

He finishes the track, drenched in sweat and looking exhausted, with a beautiful guitar solo. It's not a solo which is picked from the original song, but a more metal solo, neo-classical in influence, and getting ever slower. It was probably a solo which Scott H picked up along the way…during his more well known time in Blood Of Wecz. As he slows to a stop, now on his knees at centre stage, basking only in a single spotlight, a firework fires up in the air, and explodes on cue, as the band end with a flourish. At the same time, the light on the stage goes out completely, and the whole place is in darkness.

UserPostedImage

The crowd cheer for Sanitary Towel. This has been a triumphant return to the festival scene for this band, and they have loved every moment. But then...just then....

A Secret Track....Who'd Have Thought?

A guitar strums in the darkness. It strums four heavy, distorted chords, and then stops. The confusion amongst the crowd is evident. There is little to no cheering from the members of the Festival De Musica audience…because Sanitary Towel are finished. They played “The Bleeding”, so Sanitary Towel are done. It must just be a roadie from some other band. Right?

But then... without warning, a massive firework goes off, and the stage is engulfed in light once again. And there, in the middle of the stage, stands a solitary figure. Scott H, front man of Sanitary Towel stands there, his head bowed and his hands raised in the air as if he has just won some amazing prize. In many ways, he has. As soon as he comes into focus, the swell of cheering and the cacophony of noise erupts from inside the stadium, almost tearing every seat from its moorings.
Scott H stands like this for a a full minute, no movement, no words, no music, nothing. The crowd chant, cheer, will him to move, and stamp their feet gradually faster and faster, getting to a point where virtually everyone is running on the spot, and the noise intensifies rapidly.

Then he moves. At first all he does is lift his head, and then bring down his arms. Each movement brings another fresh wave of unbelievable adoration from the crowd, and Scott H revels in it. He stands atop a massive stage, with 300,000 people cheering his every heartbeat. He is treated like a God. This is a career defining moment, and he knows it. At long last, he speaks, softly, calmly, not much like himself at all.

“So you’re still here?” The cheering starts again. “Why? We played The Bleeding…” it’s all done. We played our signature song. We have never finished a gig with any other song….not ever….what do you guys want?”
He suddenly smirks and breaks rank. He takes a sherry glass from his pocket, and those who remember the earlier reason let out a hopeful cheer. He downs the glass in one and smashes it on the stage beside him.

"Like I said...we have never ended a concert as Sanitary Towel with any other song than "The Bleeding", However..." people cheer at his coy remark, "there is NOTHING on this planet like a festival crowd, am I right? Yeah! A festival crowd wants to hear something special, am I right?"

The crowd chant for Scott more fiercely than ever and he soaks it up, drenched in sweat and loving every second of the adulation.
"I've had a long career, and that's all down to you guys. But I gotta tell ya, tonight is THE highlight of that career. This has been the most epic moment of my musical life, and so I think we need to celebrate!
"Shall we celebrate with my favourite song?"

The anticipation for what Scott H's favourite song might be causes the crowd to surge forward quickly, and some people are being crushed, needing to be pulled over the barrier by the helpful security guards.
"Now...my favourite song is not by Sanitary Towel...you should know that first. What is my favourite song, I hear you ask? Well....let's see."

"(To side stage) Are we gonna play it? Yes. (To the crowd) Are we allowed to play it? No! Do we care? No!" He stands still for a second as the other members rejoin him on stage. Scott H has tears in his eyes. He is shaking slightly as he grips the neck of his guitar intently. He speaks softer than ever with his head bowed, "I haven't played this song...in 2 years."

"I don't give a fuck if I get sued. Fuck them, cos I wrote it. Ladies and gentlemen, this song is by a band called Blood Of Wecz...and the song is called "Price to Pay"!!"

The mere mention of the song title causes chaotic scenes in the stadium. The metal contingent who have hung around to see the final 2 bands are euphoric that Scott H has finally decided to break barriers and play the death metal classic at long long last without Blood Of Wecz. H has tears running down his face. This track defined who he is. He looks out at a sea of moving, writhing bodies, joined in a tenacious, furious joy at the prospect of hearing this iconic, genre defining song live once again. For a moment, he doesn't even know what to do, and he stands still. Then he runs to the front of the stage and lets out an animalistic roar. No mic required, this song means everything to Scott H. It was his livelihood for so long, and they can hear him all the way in the back.

He then leaps back to centre stage, and two massive fire pillars erupt at the exact point of landing. Just then, he launches into the furiously technical death metal intro, and a pit bursts open in the centre of the crowd. Scott H is like a man possessed as his hand flies around the neck of the guitar, nailing every single note exquisitely. Each note is struck with a fury and rage which encapsulates his anger at not being able to play his own song for so long. Throughout the track, he hits each scream with an intensity never seen before, the guttural roars coming from some dark secret place inside him. When it comes to solos, he finds himself perched high above the crowd, on amp stacks, PA systems, anything which can find him a place to showcase his song.

When it comes to the time for the final chorus, Scott stops, tears in his eyes, and asks the crowd for one last favour.

"I need to see the biggest fucking pit ever known to man, in 1..2..3....GOOOOO!!!"

Standing together in death!
Ripped apart in the fires of the afterlife
Will torn asunder they all wept
This is their ultimate Price To Pay
Gone forever, lost to your god
Your sins remembered and never repaid
Is the Price to Pay enough to see you
Never be alone again!

The final solo is nailed with Scott spending the entire time on his knees. The laser show lashes all around him as he strikes every single note, the accuracy and technical ability quite unbelievable. The pit swirls violently and people are being injured everywhere. Finally, the music, a glorious celebration of death metal, ends. This leaves Scott, breathless and sobbing tears of joy, to scream the iconic, a cappella lines that ended every gig in the history of Blood Of Wecz. These lines now end the most iconic night of his career....of his life, and define one of the most historic nights in metal.

...IS IT ENOUGH....IS IT ENOUGH...IS IT ENOUGH...IS IT ENOUGH...IS...IT...E...NOUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!!

As a huge flourish ends the night, a plethora of fireworks erupt. Scott H is once again the only man on stage. He feels like the only man in the world.

"Thank you Barcelona. This means more than the earth to me."

That had been in the past though. History meant nothing when 300,000 people stood before them. 300,000 people who were there to see not just one band. 300,000 people who demanded to be impressed. Sanitary Towel had to deliver, and tonight they did far more than simply deliver...tonight, they defined...

Sanitary Towel had jut delivered their set and it was time for Jason Smith and his merry men to make their way onto the stage and attempt to own it. The pre-show music only raised the tension, as it was a selection of classical pieces from artists such as Rimsky-Korsakov and Dvorak as opposed to the usual metal bands that precede their sets. The visuals shown were images of the band at one photoshoot, where everything was black and white, and Jason was wearing a “Phantom of the Opera” mask. However, there is one photo which lasts for about 5 minutes, until the end of the set. It’s a comedic one with all 4 of the members spelling out “M-I-N-D” with their arms, like in YMCA. This one’s in full colour and no masks can be seen however. It injects a bit of lightness back into the show. But then the show starts to begin, as the music dies down a little and the colour fades from the photo, soon followed by the photo fading altogether into a pitch black screen. The crowd starts to cheer as they can tell that the band is soon going to be on stage.

All the sound cuts out. The stage is completely black and nothing can be seen. The tension in the venue is high and everyone’s waiting for the headliners, Mind, to come onto the stage. Suddenly, a heart monitor can be heard. I say a heart monitor, I mean a singular heartbeat. Then another one. This gets progressively faster until it reaches a flat line and a loud piercing scream can be heard, obviously one of Jasons, which sends the crowd into a rio- sorry, too soon? Frenzy. It sends them into frenzy. The lights come up and you can see Jason mid-scream, alongside the other 3 members, which makes the crowd go wild. He is topless and is wearing a pair of trousers, heavily decorated in various stickers, patches and pieces of metal for no apparent reason, whereas the rest of the band are dressed in clothes that sane people would wear. At the end of the scream, Jason smiles manically, before declaring “I AM SEXIER THAN ALL OF YOU!” and pummelling his way into the first song, Tasteless.

The tantalisingly sexy intro riff paves the way for Jason to truly show off his persona on stage. He struts about with his guitar, sticking his tongue out and making eye contact with the audience, before returning to the microphone to start the singing. He sings the lines with extra ferocity and goes throughout the song acting crazy and giving a more energetic performance than he has ever done throughout his entire career. This is also a time for Harry to shine since he sings the lower key, backing vocals to imitate the effect that the song is given in the studio. At 4 minutes long, it is a solid piece of heavy metal which sets the scene for the rest of the night. The song finishes and the crowd is still moshing and singing away. “Ahem, thank you... I am your noble leader Jason Smith, we are Mind and we are the best band in the history of the planet Earth!” he says like a crazy dictator as he extends his arms outwards. The crowd cheer this. “Now we are going to take you on a journey and extend our reaches across the galaxy! And our conductor, with his spans conducting, took of the Earth! So ladies and gentlemen, we present to you... the process of human development!” he screeches loudly but no one can hear him because the screeches are so loud and industrial noise is playing in the background. “So... are WE FUCKING READY, SPAIN?!” he shouts to a rabid response and then Jason begins to play the introduction riff to Summers Edge, before the rest of the band proceed to then join in. This is both one of their biggest songs and a fan favourite, which means that it’s the perfect song to play at this point. They go through the song note perfectly and finish it up with the crowd singing the last verse and Jason mouthing the words along with them, as he plays a complicated solo just to, quite frankly, show off to the crowd. They are buying into it though, and everything’s going perfectly. At the end of the song, Stevie goes on a drum roll and Jason jumps down to face the crowd leaving his guitar behind, but taking his microphone. As he shakes hands and fist bumps everyone in the crowd, he proceeds to talk to them. “You, the blonde guy in the ManoWar t-shirt! I love you! I love you too, short, dyed haired female wearing the teasingly sexy tank top! And I especially love you, random fan number 3 wearing a “Jason Smith is God” t-shirt! Go get them sire!” before returning up onto stage and completing the song. Spurred on by the great reaction from the crowd, Jason starts to chuckle, before changing his guitars and playing the slightly slower Sun Gods, from the most recent album.

This is a massive, dreamy number, perfect for the arena environment. It showcases the abilities of all the band members, but especially Jason’s vocals. He sings them in a clear, huge operatic voice that would rival the absolute best. To the surprise of the band, the crowd know practically all of the words of the song. As the song progresses, some visuals are put up on the screen of Icarus flying into the sun and his long descent downwards back to Earth. As the song ends, you can see him get out of the ground without his wings and become a normal human being. “Wew... thank you for that. Lovely. This next one is called... DIVINE USURPER!” he shouts to an ecstatic response from the crowd once again. The song was their first big mainstream hit, despite being a pretty straightforward crossover death metal song. Jason screams away to the groovy rhythm and gurns at the camera, projecting onto the screen. Towards the end of the song, they go into a heavy metal jam session, firstly starting with the rhythm of the song and then going into a spacey, ethereal one as soon as they change guitars. The jam session doesn’t last for too long, since Jason doesn’t want to bore the fans, but as soon as it ends, Jason takes to the microphone again. “Senors and Senoritas... please welcome to the stage... the Prague Symphony Orchestra” Jason quietly mumbles with his eyes closed as a full piece orchestra comes on behind them and the crowd cheers.

Jasons eyes then open and he smiles yet again like a maniac as he says “OKAY THEN! Ready for some MOTHERFUCKING ROCK?!” to a large response from the crowd. “Good, good... this is another new one... The Halberdier and the Abbey, motherfuckers!”. After that, Harry comes into the forefront with his spacey, distorted bassline, soon to be followed by the violins from the orchestra playing along quietly. This tense serenity is not to last though as the massive guitar riff, huge drums and louder orchestral segments come outside to play and steal all the toys. The heavy segment of the song continues as normal, with the crowd chanting along at certain points of it, until it reaches the beautiful arpeggios and everything is quite save for the guitar and Jasons massive vocals once again. The stage flickers into a beautiful shade of purple to coincide with this and the visuals are yet again of nice Mind moments. It then reaches the duel, with the drums, symphony and bass returning to accompany the guitars battling it out furiously in a sonic cock fight. The solos last for an extended 2 minutes each, before it returns to arpeggios and blastbeats on the drum, emulating what Jason regards as the “best Mind moment”. The rest of the song continues as normal. After the actual song is finished and the crowd dies down a little, Jason starts furiously tapping and sliding on his guitar, creating crazy virtuoso effects, whilst pulling funny faces at the crowd. This lasts for a minute, before the song slams into Lyophilisation, one of the bands biggest hits.

Imagine him here, if he wasn't wearing a shirt.

Street performers from, like, a circus such as firebreathers, jugglers and unicyclists start to fill out the stage until there is room for no more to coincide with the dark, heavy, emotional main riff. The vocals start as Jason starts to smoothly serenade his way through, rubbing his nipples at one point, as if to say “yeah, you like that, don’t you?” and generally sending many a chill down many a Spanish spine. Once it gets to the deeply emotional chorus, the performers are ushered away by what appears to be dancing ghosts, leaving only them and the band on the stage. The orchestra and a pianist also start to become more apparent as this part approaches. The band then perform the song as rain starts to pour from the stage, drenching everyone on it and creating a suitable backdrop for the song. As it comes to the last note, a very high pitched vocal one, Jason holds the microphone in both hands and extends it for about 15 seconds, before a short piano led outro leads into the stage being covered in darkness and the sound of rain and thunder on stage. This is, in reality, an excuse for Jason to change to an acoustic guitar without being seen. 4 chords then break through, the notable 4 chords from To Hold All. The stage lights up again on Jason and the crowd scream loudly. He is now wearing a shirt complete with a Jacobean ruff and his Phantom of the Opera mask. He plays the song and sings it quietly to allow himself to hear the crowd, as the violins slowly start to make an entrance and the lights go up a little bit so that you can see the whole band now playing the song. It then goes on, until the last verse where everything brightens up and the song goes electric for a little bit. This continues until the end of the song.

Jason then starts to play the riff from The Aeronaut, undoubtedly their biggest song, and takes off the mask and the shirt again. The crowd are in fits of hysteria as this song comes up and Jason starts to sing it. The song is one which combines alternative rock elements with space rock and arena rock, creating a massive, eerie vibe. However, its pace means that it is perfect for people to sing and dance along to. Spacey backdrop noises and visuals are apparent for the most part. As the song comes to the end, and Jason lets out the only scream in the entire song, a loud noise of a space rocket about to take off and a voice shouting “5.. 4... 3... 2... 1... LIFT OFF!” can be heard and some quite childish space music in the background, complete with xylophones and Theremins. This goes on for about 2 minutes as the band set up some new gear, before the music cuts out and the band start to play Amber is the New Red, one of their first singles.

The song is a more punky one, which makes the crowd go into a mosh pit. “We want to see you shake your beeeeeeehinds!” Jason screams during the solo as if the crowd weren’t doing so already. After the guitar solo ends, Stevie goes into another drum solo. This lasts for about 3 minutes as Jason takes a swig of beer from the front and the audience watches in awe. Towards the end of the drum solo, you can Jason and Aaron start to improvise from the main riff of “Wipeout” for a couple of minutes, before Harry joins in with a slap bass. The brass and wind section from the orchestra also join in as Jason does a goofy dance across the stage, and uses his guitar as a surfboard to mimic it. This keeps the crowd entertained for a while before it ends and the sound of a bottle crashing marks the end of the jam. The stage then goes dark again.

Aaron Del Petro: Making up for lost hair.

“My good friends...” Jasons says as his voice echoes throughout the darkness and the crowd revel in it. “It is with great sadness that I announce the loss of... human existence. We all live in a warped black hole, a warped vision... o great saviour, what will become of this? It seems like we’re floating on the river Styx...” before the orchestra goes into Styx Overture much to the delight of the fans. They know that this is going to lead into the 20 minute Symphony of the Undead, which is a very ambitious song to perform live. The orchestra goes through with the overture without the assistance of the band, since it is not needed. Jason then starts to play the main riff on his acoustic guitar. It then goes throughout the build up note perfectly, and into the massive breakout of instruments. This is marked by the stage becoming much lighter and fireworks bursting into the nights sky, wowing the audience. They proceed to play the entire song fully and perfectly, marking it their first performance of the said song. AS it gets to the piano part at the end, Jason and Aaron go into a bluesy double riff jam session again. This lasts for about 5 minutes, yet again wowing the crowd, until everything comes to a close.

“Okay, what we’re going to do now is pretend that we’re going off stage for ever and then wait for an encore. What YOU lovely folks need to do is shout “MI-IND, MI-IND, MI-IND over and over again until we make our glorious return, okay? Awesome. See you in a minute.” Jason says and then walks off stage. Unsurprisingly, the crowd bow to his whim and start chanting the name of the band loudly for about 3 minutes until they walk on stage again, waving their arms and shouting happily at the crowd. “Alright... I can see that you are able to follow orders, so that’s nice, I guess. Anyway, we have a couple more songs for you tonight. Hey guys, do any of you know a little ditty called Bludgeoned into Submission?” Jason asks, before all the band pound their way into the song, probably the heaviest single that they have ever released. Mimes, for some reason, flood the stage and go out to stage dive, before the song comes to an end and all the mimes leave again. It is a random moment no one quite really understands, but everyone enjoys. The crowd cheer at the end of it, per usual.

Harry on the absolute other end of the sexy spectrum.

“One more song, yeah? We’re gonna make this one special.” He says as they go into a riff that no one seems to recognise until the lyrics come in. The band have only gone and sung I’m Too Sexy by everyone’s favourite bald duo Right Said Fred. Jason starts gyrating on stage as his sings in a sort of piss-takey way. The song is given a special coating of metal and slowed down slightly so that the focus is slightly on the instruments, but not completely. He goes up to the end of the song, with the crowd cheering manically and screams “AND I’M TOO SEXY FOR THIS. MOTHER. FUCKING. SOOOOOOOOOOOONG!!” and proceeds to strip naked on stage to the delight of many. “I promised to do this at some point and here we are!” he shouts, whilst laughing slightly. “We love you all, thank you very much!” he shouts, whilst walking off of the stage, naked as the day he was born. The crowd seemed to love this, but apparently, officials did not and he was arrested for public indecency as soon as he got off of the stage.

And then they lived happily ever after, the end.
