Festival De Música
“OI OI OI! Look mom! I’m on the fucking television! They gave us a spot ahead of Reported Failure, Ha! This comeback show must be big on everyones’ horizon!” Laura Paige shouts on the microphone that sits next to her drumset. Peter stands next to her, tuning his guitar for the upcoming show. “This is going to be crazy! Hopefully all of you crazy sons of bitches loved Sammy Griffin, he’s a hard act to open after!”
Peter plays a quick practice riff, short and melodic and the fierce crowd cheers in response.
“Great, great! You’re ready for this! We got 45 minutes to convince you we’re gonna be more kick-ass than the bands before us. ON EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! It’s Sunday, so you guys are probably partied out, we’re gonna start out loud and angry, then work up to quiet and slow and then go back to being loud and angry. 45 minutes bitches, start the clock!”

Song: Frozen Fire
---
I never painted myself a soldier
When it comes to modern toil though
Doesn’t look like I’ll get a day older
These words, are close to your heart
Those words, are close to your days that you’d never remember
So I guess that’s why I’ll be here in December
Breaking those old sayings about Quick Starts
Peter’s quickfire strumming gives this song its new-age sound which is very raw and his noise-rock base can still be noted from it. Still the quickness and lack of notable feedback leaves Laura’s drumming many spots to capitalize upon. Peter’s newfound long hair leaves him headbanging as the song reaches its chrous and Laura soon joins him while she sings the chorus.
I stand by this fire
With broken dreams and
Open eyes staring forward while I wait for that of my desires
I hold you
Hold you close to my heart
Hold you close to my dreamsThe whole beat and tempo slows down as Pete’s strums become slower and more delicate. Laura’s drumming turning into a single hit every five seconds.
Whoever told there kids they couldn’t be stars
Clearly didn’t watch me
So keep your sights up and you’ll head far
Just watch and see
Watch and see
The skies filled with the love and joy
Just watch and see
Nature’s natural foil in action over time
Over time
One last cymbal hit and the song ends as the crowd cheers.

As their next song ends, Peter moves to his microphone before beginning to speak. “This next song is really new. We’re hoping to record it for the new album, this is a very rough edit so bear with us now. It’s called Bagniokeeper. This is it.”

BAGNIOKEEPER
---
Peter walks to the back of the stage, turning on several(4 to be exact) of the backup amps that they brought with them for their noisier songs. “It’s gonna get loud.” He states, as he moves to the other side of the stage, turning on another four amps. Eight altogether, with that he looks over to Laura before nodding.
“1, 2. 1, 2. 1, 2, 3, 4!”
Peter makes a quick strum, feedback resonates and he smirks once the feedback ends. Shortly after this he begins a steady guitar riff which booms from the amps, he looks to Laura and nods as she begins her own drumming. She steps on her bass pedal and begins slow drumming that backs up Peter’s riff. She opens her mouth and begins the song:
He told me ‘Look towards the future honey
You’ll never stop running if you look back
Keep your hands away from loose money
I don’t want running to become your knack’
I look towards the steps I take
Hoping to make amends with every breath
So you’d better pray for your and my sake
That this’ll be a quick and painless death
Peter begins to head bang as his long hair splays in all directions while he begins his feedback heavy guitar solo, Laura’s drumming halts. The fans cheer as Peter’s guitar playing gets progressively louder, soon he stomps down on his distortion pedal and his solo becomes chopped and strayed. His headbanging stops and the solo does too after a moment, so that Laura can sing the chorus:
You can’t be a pimp and a prostitute too
So play like the rest of us and pay your dues
You can’t be a pimp and a prostitute too
So play like the rest of us and pay your dues
Peter holds a single note, letting the feedback resonate through the crowd before he throws his guitar into the sea. “GOODNIGHT BARCELONA! WE DON’T DO ENCORES! IT’S DICKISH TO THE BAND AFTER US! So stay tuned for some fucking HANNAH BETH, followed by SANITARY TOWEL and then MIND! Hope you enjoyed us!”
