His usual quirky attitude is replaced by something much more similar the moment Eric hears threats against Jason. Always having been a relatively pacifistic one, more prone to use words than fists to solve problems, it comes as a shock he quickly decides to do something much more aggressive. Despite being a mere 5'7'', and weighing approximately 115 pounds, Eric still launches himself into the fight without a second thought. Grabbing a beer bottle, he smashes it over Alex's face. |

Seeing his friend, the reason he's in the fight, bail brings Eric back to slight sanity. Still high on an adrenaline rush, he bolts after Jason into his room at full speed. Amelia stays behind, stunned at her first, violent glimpse into the world of the rock-stars.
Eric: Jason, that... was awesome... so fucking brutal. Anyways, I, uhm...
He clears his throat, and turns a shade of red, not exactly knowing what to say.

Jason's abrupt departure is slightly depressing to Eric, as he hoped to talk to Jason about the Huntington's comment he made in front of the mob. Thinking it slightly better if such things are left unsaid, he shrugs and walks downstairs, hoping to speak to Amelia for a little bit longer. |

Startled by the hit with the bottle, and with blood pouring from a gash above his eye, Alex (literally) sees red. He pushes Gia to the floor with his free hand.
Scott: HEY! THATS MY FUCKING GIRLFRIEND YOU CUNT!!
Alex laughs
Alex P: Don't worry, I'll give her one later to comfort her after you're dead, you runt bastard!
Scott spits in his face, and he laughs again.
Alex P: (To Gia) Are you watching this?
He puts each hand on Scott's collar and lifts him to the same height as himself, before head-butting him square in the face three times.
Scott goes limp and slumps to the floor, his face covered in blood as Alex lughs and wipes the blood from his own face. |

Eric's slight melancholy mood lasts for several seconds, until he takes a seat next to Amelia. Although he has no romantic feelings for her whatsoever, he does feel a bit of a connection with her, even after meeting a mere several hours ago. Perhaps it's their unique disposition and personalities, or perhaps it's the fact that Eric was also an eager and hopeful musician when he was 22, but he almost feels as though they're kindred spirits.
Amelia: So, you do this often, then? Break beer bottles over people's faces?
Eric: Not really... I don't like to waste precious materials. I think it's about time we said our farewells to the smashed bottle, though; to the fallen beer, one we will never drink.
He raises his glass in a mock-toast. Laughing, Amelia follows suit. |

Upon noting how thin the ceiling is, Eric grabs the cane of the senior next to him and pounds out the drum beat to 'We Will Rock You' above his head, hoping that Jason will hear. Eric's not really hoping to accomplish much by this, but still hopes the wondrous charms of Queen will cheer his pal up. Looking up at the ceiling the entire time, he continues his conversation with Amelia.
Eric: So, a musician, huh? Tell me; what exactly do you play?
Amelia: Well, there's nothing like the piano, been playing it since I was a little girl. I must admit that you best me when it comes to music, however; I've never learned how to play the cane.
Eric: Oh, you're funny.
The tone in his voice is sarcastic, but he still wears an amused expression. |

Scott looks up as Alex comes closer. He wants to put his fists up to fight him, to protect Gia, but he's be as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike about now.
He hears Gia say she won't leave him, his legs start to give way with the pain ,and he grips her tighter.
Scott: Thank you Gia, really.
Alex walks up and gets ready to swing for him again. |
