Still with his eyes fixated on the road, he shouts after her.

Scott H: Yeah.....on you go. Heaven forbid anything gets sorted out! See you tomorrow I guess.

He curses himself for being angry at her, and puts his hat back on, lighting another cigarette.

Scott looks around the cabin...he's bored and pissed off, and it's dark outside so there's very little to see now. He sees a sign that interests him, so he picks up the microphone.

Microphone Scott: Attention everyone!!! This is IMPORTANT! I just read a message here in the cockpit which says that when you speak into this mic, the sound is output into every room in the bus....INCLUDING the bedrooms! So, I decided that I'd give you all a lovely wake up call since the time is now.....2:22 AM, and we are driving through Poland, and I am pissed off. If you have blonde curly hair, I particularly hope that this ha woken you up...Have a good sleep!

He slams the mic down and rolls down his window, lighting another cigarette.

Scott H hears Gia come in and shout at him but he doesnt look up, just keeps smoking and driving.

Scott H: Maybe I'm not suicidal or stupid? What "problem" are you going to solve? I'm just pissed off. Why? Because you're always so closed off and like tonight, going on about the furniture when all I wanted was for you to be nice to me, and maybe give me a hug.
I'm not secretive anymore, I tell you anything you ask, anything you want to know. One thing Gia, one single thing I kept from you and I apologised like a million times!
And yes I woke you up...I can't sleep because of driving this, and you annoyed me, so I thought I'd give you a shout out. And why are you hitting me?

As the pillow hits him in the head, he sees a (convenient) lay-by at the side of the road, and pulls in to it. He stands up and lights another cigarette. He lifts the pillow and throws it onto the seat next to his.

Scott H: What the fuck are you trying to do? Kill us?
Fine then! If you're going to be all hung up on that, be like that Gia. I kept if from you on that night because we were having a fucking good night, and heaven forbid I should want to keep it that way though right? You tell someone how you feel about them, then you're expected to go, "by the way, some tattooed psycho is kinda having my kid"? Would you do that in my position? I WAS going to tell you. at the RIGHT time. If you feel you'd rather have known at that time then fine, I'm really sorry. But have I told you any lies since? No! Because you mean too much to me!
Secondly, yes, I knew what you were like before I dated you. But why are you STILL being like that? You know I will love you either way, but maybe sometimes just a little hug or something would be nice. I'm not asking you to be all over me 24 hours of the day, I know you're not that kinda girl. Look at you; independant, gorgeous, top business woman, a total success....why would I want to change that?
Why am I pissing you off?
You know what, if you're that desperate to get to sleep then go back to your bed. I'm not driving any further tonight anyway, I'm going to sleep too.

He walks over and closes the driver's window. The then zips up his jacket and sits in the drivers seat, putting the pillow Gia threw at him behind his head, and his feet up on the dashboard, waiting for her to leave or speak.

Scott runs after her when he hears the bus door open. He picks her up over his shoulder and runs back to the bus , closing the door.

Scott: see...this is what I mean Gia, talk to me...anything. I love you, and I want to make it work. Don't just walk away!

Scott puts his hands on Gia's shoulders gently so he can look her in the eyes.

Scott H: Ok Gia...listen please. This...me and you, it means an absolute hell of a lot to me. Like so much. So please, whether you go to bed now, and we talk about it and try to resolve it tomorrow...or whether you want to talk now, please just know that we can sort this. Just please don't leave.
....ok?

He looks at her, waiting for an answer, and tries to hug her.

Scott steps back as she talks and listens closely.

Scott H: ok Gia. Ok....I shouldn't try to change you. You're right. I'm sorry. You know there's a little part of me who'd like you to be open and all that stuff, I'm being honest and truthful. But there's a bigger part of me, so much bigger, which just loves you for who you are right now.
I will be affectionate to you...I can't help that because that's who I am. Heart on the sleeve and all that. So if I accept you're an open book, can you accept the way i am too? You don't need to be the same affectionate way back to me, it's ok. And believe me Gia, I am so happy with what I have now. Don't doubt that. I know you care about us too...I can see it in your eyes.

He looks at her and smiles.

Scott hugs Gia and sighs through happiness.

Scott: ok, come on, let's get some sleep.

He takes her hand and starts to walk towards their room.

Gia heard him and sat up. She didn't mind the affection, she just wasn't used to it. She sat there for a minute and then walked to the kitchen to get something to drink then sat behind Scott.

Gia: I'm sorry, I really am. I don't know whats wrong with me.

Jason dozily wakes up, puts a dressing gown on and steps out of his bedroom into the bus.

Jason: Where the fuck are we?

He rubs his eyes.
