- Part One -
Cinzia talks about the success of her debut single, current activities, etc..

Thank you for being here Cinzia, its an honor.
Cinzia: Its an HONOR to be here.

Lets start off by asking, how are you?
Cinzia: I'm great, just really thankful with everything that has been going on as of late. I haven't been this happy in a while, actually.

How did it feel when you first got signed to Shooting Star Records, and then eventually Monk On Fire Music?
Cinzia: I thought I was dreaming at first, it was sorta like hearing something huge and your just like... no way. Cynthia Sanchez approached me after I did a gig in Hollywood and basically told me to come to Connecticut to have a meeting with the Shooting Star Record label heads Will Grach, Emily Smith and of course, herself. They heard some of the demos I recorded throughout the whole Stat Nerd era, and more recently with The Movement and they really loved me, they wanted to sign me right away. And then, a few days later once word got out that I would be signing with SSR, Monk On Fire Music stepped in and it sorta turned into a bidding war... and I'm just like what the hell is going on?... I was so shocked that two labels were fighting over ME, a failed musician, since at the time that's what I thought of myself but basically they came to an agreement and they signed me 50/50. I was completely shocked but then again I didn't get my hopes up because already twice my career was halted for whatever reason, so I just was crossing my fingers.

I take it that it has been a long road for you?
Cinzia: Very, I've spent so much money on my career alone.. blood, sweat and tears too. But it only goes to prove how much you love this buisness and how much you love music. I wasn't projected to be this huge star.. I ran into wall after wall.. and that didn't hold me back, I kept pushing forward and I'm still pushing now, yes things are easier but my first task has been tackled, I know there's alot more to come, but I'm okay with it because I love what I do.
So many girls get on so easily and I just say wow.. they don't even love the craft as much as I do and they get more opportunities then me.. but who says I can be a brat? No.. you keep your head up and keep pushing forward.

Congradulations on the current success of your debut single Italian Hearted, can you tell us about the single?
Cinzia: Its a dancefloor monster thats just not only empowering to women but it also is empowering to Italian women as well. It talks about being loved by a woman, like Italian girl though.. how we are strong minded, sexy among many other things. But at the same time I'm talking about women in general, empowering us and bringing us together to all be 'Italian Hearted'. Its a really strong topic of mine and I really connected with the song when I wrote and recorded it, it was a blast.

Were you expecting the single to shoot to #2 on the Digital Charts, let alone selling 225,000 copies?
Cinzia: Not at all...

Really? Where were you when you got the news?
Cinzia: Yes really hehe.. I'm not really a confident girl like some people may think. I'm most confident when I'm on stage. Other then that, for so long I just hoped and hoped and got let down that whenever big news is about to come in, I don't hope for the best I sorta brace myself for the worst and it feels better when the worse really turns out to be the best news in the world! And the single really was doing mediocre and I was really happy with that but when I got the news I was in the studio when my manager storms in and gives me the news.

How did you react?
Well.. with a huge smile on his face and he says "The single is at number two right now!!!" I come outta the booth and I'm like what the f-.. but like in Italian and I was like ..oh my god and we just started hugging and he's telling me "I finally did it". It was a really uplifting moment.

Has things changed since the release of the single?
Cinzia: Of course. A lot more people in the industry.. I'm not talking about artists but people behind everything have alot more faith in me, I'm not being looked past anymore. Which I think is good for me... but sad in general, its like sales determine who gets looked at and not at raw talent .. I think if it was based on raw talent alot more artist would be seen. But things are crazy right now, I'm recording non stop and getting ready for what will hopefully be a crazy year of Cinzia! I'm so ready for everything that is to come and just so grateful.

How was it stepping back into the studio with Alex Van Roy, who is known as DJ Night to re-record the final version of Italian Hearted?
Cinzia: I'm not going to lie, it was really awkward at first, yes we were really excited to get in the studio at first but we did have alot of past history that we still needed to get over, we talked.. and talked and talked it out and finally things were back to normal and we were able to really work magic in the studio.

The Wolverines also co-produced the final version, how was it working with them?
Cinzia: There so uplifting! They really push people out the best in people and maybe that is why a lot of people want to work with them. They're really friendly and of course they were the ones who signed me so I couldn't let them down. I did the best I freakin' could on that track, it turned out amazing.

In addition to people rooting for you in many different places, how are the people back home in Italy treating you?
Cinzia: They are incredible. All they have been doing is rooting for me, and cheering me on. I've been getting letters from mothers at home calling me an inspiration for their daughters after they watched me on Music Box, and me opening up about being bullied. It brought me to tears how a lot of moms do depend on certain artists as people for their children look up to I may not be a role model for kids but when I give advice on being bullied, that comes straight from personal experiences so I'm happy I could have helped.

We realized that you are very intuned with your Italian background, is that correct?
Cinzia: Oh yes! Very proud of my heritage, My single is called Italian Hearted and I'll never forget my people back home, no matter how far I travel hehe..

People have also been comparing your music to Electrodeath's, and its pretty ironic how both of your songs currently occupy the #1 and #2 spots , what do you think about the band?
Cinzia: People comparing me to Electrodeath?!!! That's a freaking honor! Their icons, and that's really amazing if people are comparing me to them. I think our formula of Dance music is the same but we do have our differences. It is pretty ironic how is Dance artist occupied to two spots on the charts, and that's great and I really can't believe my name is right under there's. That's freaking pyscho actually! *laughs*

You will be touring with them in October, how did that come about ?
Cinzia: Well people might think it was arranged for me to appear on their tour and it was set up. Nope, I personally contacted them because just recently did I have enough backing to get a publicist, so independately I contacted them on opening up for their tour because I heard they were looking for opening acts...I mean, I guess they were a little shocked that instead of a publicist or a manager contacting them about a client opening up for them, instead it was the actual artist they were hearing from they took a huge interest, and they really caught me and made me happy later on thinking about it. We chatted for a little bit since their schedule was crazy full and they remembered who I was and I sent them some of my music.. and guess what? I got the gig, I was so happy! So happy. Once again I couldn't believe it and I really felt amazing, I still feel happy now that we're gonna be touring together in October, its nuts!!

Has the opportunity changed you in any way?
Cinzia: It just made me feel like hard work does eventually pay off.. And its the truth. I finally feel like everything I have been working for is finally coming to me, and that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop working hard like I have. I'm gonna keep pushing but to know you have worked for everything positive coming your way, its a feeling like no other.

Part 2 - SOON!

Kyle Smith?!

Today rapper MattY has announced that unknown businessman(??) Kyle Smith is to take over as the head of Monk On Fire Music. The two were seen to be shaking hands outside the building before and after the press conferance. They stood together as questions were asked.

MattY is quoted to have said:
MattY wrote:
Kyle will be a very good new owner, i believe that he has all of the credentials to take this label to the next level... I just wish that i could still be here to see it grow. Thank you all for you co-operation over the past few months and it is only up from here.

Kyle Smith is then quoted to have said:
Kyle wrote:
I would like to thank MattY for this opportunity, he didn't have to accept my offer, but if i do say soit was a very convincing offer. Haha. This record label is only going to get better, and i look forward to the prospect of making it one of the best and wealthiest labels around!

Some people have phoned into to Culture Uncut to say that they are unsure as to how Kyle Smith has managed to afford a label as big as MOFM, as apparently he lives on a council estate in the slums of London! He seems to have managed it though... Lottery winner maybe? Who Knows.

Kyle's First Signing!

UserPostedImage

Today we recieved an unsolicited Demo CD from the London based five piece and figured that we had nothing to lose by giving it a listen, so we played through it a couple of times to get a feel for the band and their music. We loved it. So we immediately got in touch with the band and made sure that we were the first to sign such hot prospects! The Pop-Punk band has put pen to paper to sign a 2 album deal with us, and we can't wait to get them into a studio!!

Brief Bio
Big Light Show is a pop-punk five piece, from London, England. Having formed in January 2011, the band have been writing music that they claim is “so catchy that it’s more addictive that crack”, they are finally ready to reveal these ideas into the music industry. Vocals are split between Lauren England and Alex Leuiso (former Lights Go Red and We Shot The Stars vocalist), the latter of which also plays rhythm guitar. Jack Sampson provides the lead guitar, Anthony Hecox (also of We Shot The Stars) plays bass, and Ben Warner is the percussionist. The band have yet to be signed. They have now released debut EP with production from Robert Williams titled Delayed At The Finish Line, with hopes of a full length album being out before the start of 2011. The band have supported Suburban Sunrise on there mini-tour of the USA in April/May, and will be supporting The Verdict Is Vengeance across June and July, and then supporting Suburban Sunrise again over the remaining summer months!

Release Date: July 31, 2011 [Radio Stations/Digital Outlets]
Genre: New Wave
Elements Of: Indie Rock, Pop Rock
Producers: Jason Smith
Recorded: 2011
Label: Monk On Fire Music, Shooting Star Records
Writers: Brittany Knox, Jason Smith

As details about Brittany Knox's album, Epoch, was released months prior to its artwork and first single, details of a few songs being cooked up for Brittany Knox in the studio by Rock genius Jason Smith put a tidal wave of interest in not only Brittany's new music, but the tracks Jason produced as well. More recently, a song called Bonnie's Redemption was announced to impact radio stations and digital outlets after her massive hit Desert Paradise that has surpassed the gold mark. So where does that bring us? To Bonnie's Redemption.

Bonnie's Redemption is the pure New Wave/Indie Rock trip where Knox places herself in a notorious females place, that female, Bonnie Parker. Bonnie Parker became one of the most notorious females ever and was considered a huge public enemy and criminal during the public enemy era(circa 1930's).

The song starts off with a man [possibly a judge] uttering the worlds "Bonnie, you've been sentenced to life in prison for what you have done, any last words?". The creative start of the song only makes us wonder, what is a female to say to redeem herself? As those words are spoken, the track starts significantly in a bloodcurdling, eerie guitar and keyboard driven beat that sounds amazing in tune with Brittany's eerie, yet purposely emotionless voice. As the song goes on with different melodic guitar riffs and generated streams are heard across the baseline with atmospheric sounds. Brittany sings apologetically "I didn't know what I was doing, no guidance, no one to turn to". Brittany sings in first person and in tune at this tempo as singing deeply about how "she" [Bonnie] didn't know what she was doing, "Feeling like I can do whatever, especially if I had the world underneath my feet" and also begging for forgiveness: "I know no one listening, look at me, I deserve to be ......FREE".

Toward the midpoint of the song there is a strong buildup to the chorus, that gives us a fast paced New Wave bit that adds in drums and the memorable guitar riffs from the beginning of the song. Brittany changes up and sings in second person "There's no apology's, there's not apology's, you can't always redeem yourself from the public's perception, oh yea, there's no redemption's. Knoxville sings throughout the bridge and chorus that not only can you not always redeem yourself from the way the public looks at you, but throughout the song the songstress tries to get the point of a person cant always expect to be forgiven.

Quote:
I really had a great time writing this song. People always expect to be forgiven for so many things and this song just explains that its not easy and especially if your Bonnie Parker. A notorious female and although I don't condone murderers, using her got the point across perfectly. I love the track, Jason Smith really brought out something special in me.

Desert Paradise saw a more happy, carefree Brittany that we all fell in love with. But at the same time that's why we love Bonnie's Redemption, because its the opposite. The track takes a different approach for the fans and listeners looking forward to the Epoch album, and it comes in perfect timing following Brittany proving to anyone just how innovative she can be with D.Paradise. This track, more straightforward, edgy, dark shows us that Brittany has officially mastered this New Wave genre she first starting using in another big single of Knox's called Truce, off her E.P Halfway There. Of course this could have not been done without Jason's relentlessly eerie production that matched perfectly with Brittany's vocals that gave the song great chemistry.

The track is being sent to radio stations and digital outlets today! What do you think?

"The New Teen Titans' Album May Come Sooner Than Expected" Says Den

UserPostedImage

The Teen Titans seem to have the new album almost finished. This is what the former member of the pop band told us: "We're working a lot on the album. We're also touring, but sometimes we find the time to get into a recording studio and work on some track. We have still some tracks left to record, but for what we have now, I think the fans will listen to crazy beats, dance ballads, some cool rap, very high notes and much more!" And he adds "It's gonna be the best album we've ever done and we're working so much on it, that fans may get it sooner than expected. They have to wait at least for the next two months though."
He also explains the writing process "I wrote almost all the lyrics of the song with Mimi. I think we have become the main songwriters of the band, after the big success of "Memory".
There are some songs about having fun, some about not giving up, some others about broken hearts or love in general and more. My favourite written has to be the one about this person that makes me fall in love with the red color, but as much as that may sound silly, the song is very deep. Altough all the songs recorded until now have almost the same message behind them, but of course in a different way. The message is definately not giving up, so the title of the album will be something related to that."

Den - or Orange Titan as his "Titan" nickname - has also denied rumors of secretly writing solo material for an his possible solo album "I think that the band has never been more united than now and solo albums will only just happen when one of the girls get pregnant, so that may not happen soon. I'm not writing anything for a solo album, because I'm just writing songs for the band."
He then finishes explaining his recent break-up with Lyrica Ocha of G2L Touring is often bad for a relationship and we only just met a few times. I think it wasn't working well anymore and we both decided to end it up there. It was the best thing to do and we're still friends though."

The Teen Titans are currently on their Asian leg and another news from the band is from Laurence, who became father yesterday, as her wife Coco Lopez [of Hard Sugar] gave to birth their first son Alexander. Laurence has also left the band for a few days to get to London to his wife and his son and he won't join the band on a few dates of the tour.

Release Date: August 7th, 2011 [Radio Stations/Digital Outlets]
Genre: Trance, Euro Pop
Producers: George King
Recorded: 2011
Label: Monk On Fire Music, Shooting Star Records
Writers: Cinzia Ricci

2011 saw a lot of young prospects, and among those prospects were Cinzia Ricci. A lot have called the Italian born songstress the biggest success story of 2011 following her very successful debut single Italian Hearted which is attacking the charts and surged to number 2 a few weeks ago just under Electrodeaths 'When Your Heart Is Not Open'. Although the single served as her debut a lot of people remember Cinzia. First for having a hot rivalry with boy band the Stat Nerds in 2010 and then aligning herself with 'The House Movement'. All these big openings for the star seem to hit walls and not much was really looking good for Ricci's career as a singer.

That didn't stop her however, she quickly returned back to her home country and back to the United States, and the United Kingdom as well as doing club dates all over Europe and her biggest break came in 2011 when Cynthia Sanchez signed her to Shooting Star Records, and then Monk On Fire Music label heads stepped over SSR and demanded a 50/50 deal and the contract was inked and the rest was history, Italian Hearted is doing great on charts and it brings us to now.... Are there anymore walls that Cinzia is going to run into? We don't think so.

Ride of a Lifetime is the next release from the very talented and hungry underdog that was written by herself and produced by George King and brings us through the beauty of Euro-Pop and Trance music. Its start off in a slow, shy, lullaby esque beat that eventually builds up into a full blown Trance expedition as Cinzia sings in a beautiful and high soprano vocal range, singing about her ride through fame, sort of like a ride of a lifetime. She sings about how she has finally reached her own greatness, and that she has finally started accomplishing all the feints that she wanted and how she was made fun of as a girl with an Italian accent but now look at her, she's having the ride of a lifetime.

Pretty inspirational right? What we like about the song is that its soft, its a quick, yet a ballad heavy trance song that shows off the best of Cinzia's vocal chords and emotion and many artists of today couldn't sing such a tricky and high vocal ranged song. Ride Of A Lifetime outshines Italian Hearted in our eyes because it has a deep message behind it and could light up radio airwaves as well as the dance floor with the unforgettable production by George King. The music makes you feel uplifted and happy, and that's the tone of the song, matching perfectly with the songs message.

Quote:
Recording this song was a blast, and sorta got alotta emotion out! I really had sung my heart out and broke down in tears when I was done with the song and heard it because its just so beautiful. I really dug deep to write this song and its sorta like my diary being spilled out in the studio, and I hope when people hear it they feel the emotion I felt while recording it.

The song goes to a new high after Cinzia belts away a long and almost 8 second F5 soprano note followed by another build up into a blast of trance and europop sounds that seemingly go on until the end of the song.

Cinzia once again shows us that all the hunger she's feeling is spilling out onto her music she's hear to stay and shes hear to stay with a message! What do you think? The song is available this Sunday!!!

We All Voted, We Reckon You Should Wrestle The Bear

It may not be their debut single...but it certainly feels like it.

A lot has happened to Big Light Show in the last few months. From being pop-punk hopefuls, they saw a fall from grace when their debut EP fell flat. Despite constant touring and supporting, the bank balance of the band diminished, and without a label, it appeared that the members would all need to go back to London and seek "regular" jobs...at least knowing that they had had a crack at the music industry.

Fast forward a few weeks however, and they hire Cassie Bitch. The legendary personality, who now has a Chaos Award named after her, entered the band on a "temporary" basis at first, as second vocalist, before joining full time a short while later. Turning from pop-punk to screamo pop, and unleashing a brilliantly brutal demo of three blisteringly heavy, but still catchy songs, BLS found themselves suddenly in demand.

Now, having signed with Monk On Fire, and ready to support GirlSpice's world tour, Big Light Show unleash the first mammoth single from the acclaimed demo, "Exploding Egos in the Night". This is "We All Voted...we Reckon You Should Wrestle The Bear."

Out Now on airplay charts. Available for Download next week.

The Track

The final song from the Big Light Show demo "Exploding Egos in the Night" is a slower effort than the other two, but is no less emotional. This one is about hatred for a hypocrite, a liar and someone who just breeds hate and makes other people lose all sense of love and happiness. He is essentially an incubus of all light and glory. The lyrics are less literal than in the other two as well, and sound is a lot darker.

The track starts with a slow guitar picking section. There is a keyboard playing long, flowing notes in the background as the guitar plays very deliberate single notes at a slow pace, before we hear the drums slowly building pace and then Cassie screams "Go!" as there is one single chime on a crash cymbal. At this point, a heavy riff kicks in, very fast, very alive, but dark.

The riff stops abruptly, and Cassie and Lauren both sing the first line of the verse before Cassie screams the rest of it, accompanied by only light drums and some haunting, floating keyboard. After "No fucking reason", the guitars come back in, adding real venom to the repeated last line of the verse.
The chorus is very poppy in this track, with Lauren singing without Cassie. it flows beautifully, and sounds full of sorrow and desperation, as well as intense sadness.

The second verse is sung (at the start) in the same style as the first, with Cassie screaming much of it, barely accompanied by the musicians in the band. Lauren sings the occasional line in the verse as well, which mixes it up well and allows the listener to feel the chemistry between the two contrasting singers, as their varying voices criss-cross effortlessly.

The "Sit down in the dark" bridge is spoken, and is accompanied by only a quick marching bass line, as Lauren stalks slowly through it, until Cassie batters through her line with real emotion, true anger, heralding the start of a massive chunky breakdown.
The second bridge is more pop-punk like, as Lauren sings in a style akin to Hayley Williams, sounding still sorrowful, but somehow bright and uplifting at the same time. That is until Cassie screams the last line at breakneck speed, shattering serentity, with a "scream" which is more akin to a deathcore growl, gloriously introducing another thick breakdown riff.
The song finishes again with a chorus, the same as the other ones.

This song overall shows how these two girls can use their two different styles of vocals to really bring out the best in each other. The way their voices interchange really works, and makes the song sound fresh and exciting.

Cassie says: "The title of this wasn't my idea....what does it even mean? I think she was just trying to be cool! All the same, I love the song. I'm so proud of what we've done here overall, it really is the best thing I've done in my career so far, and I feel like I've achieved so much more than I have up to this point. Hopefully we get signed and we can continue this. Anyway, for now, they can continue their tour, I'm off to sleep with my girlfriend....gonna get me some vag!"

Lauren says: "The end of the demo! I hope this is enough to get us signed. I think this is my favourite song on there because it shows the diversity we have. It's not straight up heavy like the other three, so we had a chance to play around with structure and vocal patterns. I like how it turned out. And yes...I thought up the weird title. It's not just to be cool though, it means like "Here you go, evil man, we're casting you out to the bears to get killed, because you've done all of this to us. Hahaha
Anyway, I hope people like the demo, and I hope we can get the album done (if we get signed). Fingers and arms and legs and toes crossed!"

Well that filled these ears tonight!
Non righteous Cause!
No Fucking Reason!
There’s A Knife So Sharp! Held Against Your Neck! End You Forever!
There’s A Knife So Sharp! Held Against Your Neck! End You Foreverrrrrrr!

He showed us, Oh so he showed us,
We’re so much lower when we hate.
He showed us, (The Sanctimony!) Oh so he showed us,
We’re so much lower when we hate.

Your symbolic killers!
Well the lies define your touch!
It’s such a pressure, what we’ve got in!
Oh What We’re Seein’!
We could function so much better!
We know preaching is everything!
Now we sharpen knives!

We will destroy you all!

He showed us, Oh so he showed us,
We’re so much lower when we hate.
He showed us, (The Sanctimony!) Oh so he showed us,
We’re so much lower when we hate.

He showed us, Oh so he showed us,
We’re so much lower when we hate.
He showed us, (The Sanctimony!) Oh so he showed us,
We’re so much lower when we hate.

Sit down in the dark
Await that final spark
We all sit down in the dark
Await that final spark
We All Sit Down In The Dark

AND WE AWAIT THAT FINAL SPARK!

Background Info
2011 has had many, many surprised in the music industry as the year is entering its second quarter. We have witness so many new acts in the last few months, not to mention the music of the great ones, old and new, attacking the radio and single as well as album charts. Earlier this year, Cinzia Ricci, the hot headed Italian glamazon who (in everyone's eyes) was a "crazed fan" who slapped one of the Stat Nerds on National Television during the Hall Of Fame awards has now risen from the rock that it seemed that she was hiding under. We found out that Cinzia was a singer and had an apparent history with the Stat Nerds regarding a hot unground rivalry where the two competed for a contract for Shooting Aces. Fortunately, our assumptions were wrong and as she was away, she let the media frenzy after the performance cool down not to 'get the best of the situation for her career' and returned to her country for a new beginning. She then got in contact with close friend and big time underground French DJ, DJ Cloud to record a song together which was named 'So What'. The song was a huge hit underground for France and DJ Cloud soon got this amazing idea to start a team, a movement and let Cinzia know about his even closer friend DJ Night where he's attacking the charts in the U.S and U.K with Netherlands singer, Desiree Shapiro. Meetings were done, agreements were made, and DJ Cloud and DJ Night both created an imprint under Junction Records named "ElectroHorseInc" which will feature the two DJ's, Desiree and Cinzia.

Later in 2011, Cinzia released an official statement that she would be leaving ElectroHorse ink for unknown reasons, and since then Desiree and DJ Night have split and haven't spoken since. Cinzia expressed an uneasy feeling with the group and stated they didn't really respect her ideas as an artist and didn't respect her ideas to try out different types of music including pop and other types of dance music. Cinzia also stated that after her performance with Matty singing Close To Tears, she didn't want to stick to House music and wouldn't want it to be her only resort later in her career even though her music will be heavily influenced by all types of House music.

About The Song
Italian Hearted is a menacing Electro House, Technical House single that can appeal all over Europe and we are sure the United States as well. It is apparent that the song is made to completely light up night clubs and the radio as well, not to mention people's minds. The song starts off with a Tech House beat creating a cool, smooth vibe as Cinzia's confident, strong and sassy voice sings over the beat. The song quickly evolves into a empowering Electro-House beast as the bass line pounces exuberantly over the beat as the song gets thrown with Trance sounds and tuned up horns swaying up and down. The song can make a listener feel as if they are getting attacked by the song to sort of feel the loving, happy, and most of all clubby vibe, even when feeling the complete opposite. The song is about being loved and talks about the heart of an Italian woman, but throughout the song, Cinzia isn't talking about Italian women as a whole, but about herself  too, singing the words "I'm Italian Hearted, Italian Hearted, i-i-i- Italian Hearted".

With a remastered and thumping baseline and additional production by The Wolverines making the song more radio ready as to underground and not too common to the ear but at the same time unique,. Tt looks like The Wolverines along with DJ Cloud have hit another home run, this time with Cinzia Ricci.  Now the real question is... do you agree?? And will Cinzia's career shine brighter then Desiree Shapiro's, and will this be the last song she records with DJ Cloud?

Josh: And we are back! But we are back with a very special guest. She is known for being the who "We Have Been Waiting For". She's here in the building with us, its Cinzia Ricci!!

An computerized applaud is heard before Cinzia speaks. She smiles clearly with her trademark and natural Italian Accent.

Cinzia: Hey Josh, how's it going?

Josh: It's going great! How's it going for you Ms. Popular! We've gotten a load of calls today pertaining to you and your new album that has been announced today...

Cinzia: Aw really?! That means so much to me, I just love my fans...

Josh: I'm sure they love you too Cinzia. You are certainly "What They Have Been Waiting For".

Cinzia laughs, Josh does as well

Josh: But in all seriousness, your new album is called " What You've Been Waiting For" and I love that title by the way. What is the story behind the title?

Cinzia: Hehehe.. thanks Josh. I really like the title I chose it because the album is really straight forward and every track really relates to me in some way. And I feel like its been such a long time since I've gotten the chance to really get out there with my own music.. so what better title than "What You've Been Waiting For"... its really concrete and my fans have been waiting a while...

Josh: So you have to live up to expectations... does that ever worry you?

Cinzia: Not really to tell you the truth (giggle). I feel like I've put my all into this. I've came a really long way and through all that time I have been able to put a body of work together with the amazing producers I got into the studio with that won't just be a typical 'Dance Album' filled with club songs.. but why not do that but really connect with the listener.. and give them all of me. I wanted to make sure that this wasn't a generic dance album. Its really personal, its really deep, and inspirational but it also has that really, really fun side to it.

Josh: Most certainly. Your current single, Ride Of A Lifetime is climbing up the Digital Charts.. artist like Hannah Beth called it a really inspirational track. How does that make you feel?

Cinzia: The fact that such a big name like Hannah Beth said my song was inspirational makes me feel amazing. Because that was really the point og that song. Ride Of A Lifetime solely by myself and I spoke about things that really happened to me. So when people call it inspirational I feel great because I want to inspire people.

Josh: And your debut single off the album.. that smash hit Italian Hearted that every has seemed to love, took a different approach didn't it?

Cinzia: Sorta. The track is more dance floor ready and I wanted my first single to be really catchy and strong. And that where Italian Hearted went. But again, I made sure to write a song with a really special message. I speak about a woman's integrity, confidence and sympathetic nature an-

Josh: You cannot forget the fact about you speaking very highly of Italian woman as well!

He laughs

Cinzia: Of course! I'm really in tune with my nationality and I'm representing Italian women, but I also speak for all women in the song.

Josh: Ah, I got a question for ya..

Cinzia: Hehe.. what is it?

Josh: What's your favorite song of the two?

Cinzia: Ugh Josh! Hehehe.. its really hard because I really love both tracks, but I would have to say Ride Of A Lifetime because I really pushed myself vocally in the song and the track means so much to me. What about you Josh, which one would you choose (giggles).

Josh: Me? I love em both!

Cinzia: Awww, I'm happy to hear that! Thank you.

Josh: Your welcome! Lets talk about this debut album of yours now... what producers did you work in the studio with?

Cinzia: I worked with some of the best people for the album. I worked with The Wolverines, DJ Night, DJ Cloud and of course George King.

Josh: How was it working with them?

Cinzia: Such an experience! I had so much fun, but we worked hard and I'm really happy to have gotten a chance to work with them. They're all really, really great producers. I've known DJ Cloud for a really long time and without him I wouldn't have had gotten the amazing opportunity to work with the House Movement.. DJ Night too, he's also a really great guy who is really always there for me... George King, total sweet heart but so professional and he knows what he's doing in the studio, it was really a great atmosphere when recording with him and The Wolverines, I have so much chemistry with them and they know what sound I'm going for and of course, I have to give it my all when I'm in the studio with them because they are the ones who signed me. Really all great producers.

Josh: You mentioned... the House Movement. Have you guys settled the tension that people were reporting all of you having?

Cinzia: There was no tension, the media really blew that out of proportion. Specially with me having to do with it. The problems they had with whoever had nothing to do with me. I was trying to get my music together and what not..but us 3, we are still really close.

Josh: If you dont mind me asking... what about Desiree?

Cinzia: Oh no! I don't mind at all.. with Desiree, I honestly dont know. When we're in the studio, we really dont talk about her or the situation since we're working.. but other then that I have no clue. Me personally, we haven't spoken in a while  and I think she's doing her own thing now, and I wish her the best of luck with that.

Josh: Understood. So when is this album going to be released?

Cinzia: We are basically done with the album. I have to finalize a few more things with the album tomorrow and we are done! So most definitely in September!

The computerized applauding is heard again, and Cinzia laughs

Josh: We are excited Cinzia! Before we move on, talk about that really big collab you have on the album with icons Elecrodeath....

Cinzia: Nope Josh! You gotta wait for that ehehehe...

She laughs

Cinzia: Its too soon! But I promise everyone will know about it soon, promise!

Josh: Awwww man! Your right anyhow. But instead, we get a special treat today, don't we Cinzia?

Cinzia: Yep, today is all the listeners lucky day! I have a track off the album that everyone is going to hear! I'm really excited for all of you guys to hear it because it's really a favorite of mine on the album...

Josh: The track is called "Crying Till I'm Smiling" correct?

Cinzia: Yes Crying Till I'm Smiling is correct!

Josh: You heard it hear first guys! Cinzia is playing a brand spanking new track right here first as soon as we come back and get a couple of callers in! Stayed tuned!!!
________________________________________________
Aaron Marks' It's True, I'm Trouble is heard and fades away

Josh: And that was the up and coming Aaron Marks! What do you think about Aaron and his single Cinzia?

Cinzia: I like it! Its different and I really like Aaron, he seems like someone that's hear to stay....

Josh: Yeah, we've got callers popping in all over the place so lets get to Line 1, hello?

Listener: HELLO??

Josh: Hey, your on the air with Josh and Cinzia right now, whats your name???

Listener: My names Julia, oh my god hi!

Josh: Hi Julia, whats your question for Cinzia?

Julia: My question for you Cinzia is... who is your favorite artist right now?

Cinzia: Um..... I'd have to say Elecrodeath, their really inspirations there pushing dance music and it paves the way for other artists like me to do what we do best. They have done so much for not only dance music but music in general, so I really look up to them...Thanks for your question Julia!

Julia: I love you Cinzia! Thank you!

Josh: Line 2! Whats your name and your question?

Listener: My names Gregory and I'm a big fan, Cinzia will you be touring for the album?

Cinzia: Hi Gregory! For the album, a tour is in the works but I'll also be supporting the album for the Wicca tour with Elecrodeath, so either way I'll be live performing material off the album!

Gregory: I'm so excited, I'll definitely be there, thank you Cinzia!

Cinzia: Thanks for your support sweetheart!

Josh: ONNNE more caller, your name is?..and your question please!

Listener: My names Stephanie! Cinzia, is there anyway that when you announce your new song today on the radio, can you do it in Italian?

Josh, Stephanie and Cinzia all start laughing

Cinzia: Oh, I love that! Hehehe, my definately Stephanie!

Stephanie: Thank you!

Cinzia: Your welcome! Bye..!

Josh: So I guess its time for the very special treat, tell us about the song before we play it!

Cinzia: The songs called Crying Till I'm Smiling and its a track I worked on with DJ Cloud and DJ Night who produced Italian Hearted. The song is really, really special to me and it talks about no matter as much as you may cry.. there will always be that time when you smile.. and that time right now is for me.. I did so much crying to get where I am and all I could do is smile right now. I explain that no matter how much crying you do.. don't like the tears slow you down.. but it return let it make you stronger till your smiling. I love the track because I really sang my heart out on this, its really strong!

Josh: Thats really deep Cinzia! But what no further do.. here's Cinzia announcing her song in Italian!

Cinzia laughs

Cinzia: Grazie per l'ascolto a tutti! Qui è davvero una canzone speciale del mio album, la sua chiamata Crying Till I'm Smiling....Spero che a voi tutti! Vi amo tutti e arrivederci!
(Thanks for listening everyone! Here is a really special song off of my album, its called Crying Till I'm Smiling....I hope you all like it! Love you all and goodbye!)

Josh: Everyone without further or do! Crying Till I'm Smiling!

Josh: What does everyone think? Text us or call in and let us know! Cinzia, thanks so much for being here!

Cinzia: Thanks for having me, I had a blast, see you later!

Josh: Bye Cinzia!

Cinzia is on fire! Enjoy her Q&A she recently did with FHM Magazine!

Q: Wow thank you for being here! You are all over the place lately Cinzia. First things first, who are some of your influences?

Cinzia: I dont have an exact, and direct influence in music right now.. of course there's people that I look up to.  But my main influences would be legends of underground Dance music scene. They really have paved the way for such artists like me.

Q: What’s your songwriting process? Do you sit down and brainstorm or does inspiration just strike you?

Cinzia: See, the thing is, everyone has there own way of writing music. With me, since I'm so busy lately, no matter what comes to me..if its good... I gather all my ideas as they come, and I jot down an idea.. and as time goes on I elaborate on it until it eventually becomes a song. With writing my debut, it was alittle bit of both, since the writing came straight from my heart and my personal experiences. I've been wanting to write about these things for a while, so when it came to actually writing the album, it was quite easy.

Q: How has your upbringing brought you where you are today?

Cinzia: Everyone tells me how I have such a strong fighting spirit and that's also really deep rooted. When I was younger I was badly bullied in school. I was never the pretty Cinzia everyone likes to say now or this or that. Guys and girls used to make fun of me. And when I lived in the States for a few years.. in school I was tormented for my heavy Italian accent. It was really bad going through that. I have written songs packed away that talk about what I've gone threw, its always good to look back, and reminence or how weak I was back then, but its even better to know I've over came that and look where I am now. The track Beauty&Death really talks about that on the album. I wrote the song years and years ago and I found it to be incredible for anybody who's going through a tough time, specially if they're young and if they were going through what I was..

"A lot of singers come up, having it easy...Really. I may be new to radio, or the charts but I have been on the scene for a while. Alot of money, sweat, and tears have been wasted. Am I upset becuase of that? Of course not, but it showed me I cannot call an artist, a legitimate artist, not a singer.. but an artist if they don't have talent, or a true backstory.. that's why I'm very selective with the music I listen to."

Q: Do you think your stints with small time label Shooting Aces Records, and then with The House Movement give you the edge and momentum to get where you are now?

Cinzia: Yes and no. Because when my stints with them were done, no one really had approached me for me to get signed. None of my music was really out during those times either. Those were just bad deals that detiorated. And when they were done, I legit worked my but off. Club dates, writing, doing demos.. so much hard work until finally Cynthia realized who I was after a performance at a club gig I was doing in Hollywood. So I really don't think it gave me the edge. I think it was a breath of fresh air for MOFM and SSR to know that they signed someone newly that already knew about the industry and wasn't completely naive.

Q: What makes you feel that your debut album is something special?

Cinzia: Because its such a personal album. Plain and simple. Yes it may be a dance album, but if your looking at this as a album full of tracks that are going to be talking about dancing till the worlds ends or something.... then your wrong. But if your looking for a dance album that is really personal, but at the same time club ready and really different then its definately what you've been waiting for. There's inspirational tracks on there.. and tracks you can tell are specified for the dancefloor. I love house music, and euro music, its who I am.

Q: Do you feel artists like Ryan Ross Hernandez went too far with his comment pertaining to you and Desiree Shapiro?

Cinzia: Oh I heard what he said. What can you say? I mean, its a total slap in the face when you publicly co-sign an artist yet they have the nerve to say something like I've never heard of there songs in my life and the whole thing he said about Desiree and I. I've always been vocal about how I respect Ryan as an artist and how talented I think he is. And when I heard he said that I was pretty hurt. But I guess the fame and stuff starts getting to peoples heads after a while and they feel they can just say whatever. I could understand if I've done nothing to get where I am, but I love what I do and that was just... whoa..

Q: What is your take on the media painting you and Desiree to be having a chart war.

Cinzia: I think its bizzare. I think its totally uncalled for. How can you pit two people against eachother who's music aren't out at the same time for one, when they have different outlooks on music, and have absolutely NO bad blood, I was always wish the best to Des and her career. I could understand why people compare us...because we were both in The House Movement but we are two different artists... I think the media is being ridiculous.

Q: What has been your proudest moment as an artist?

Cinzia: Definately when I got thousands and thousands of thank you mails from all my fans after my appearence on Music Box....it may not seem like its too special since some artists now just do it for the money. But I had parents thanking me for all the amazing advice I gave on that show and how it uplifted and inspired there child. I had women in their late 20's, mind you I'm only 23.. thanking me. It was really a defining moment. That's where most of the inspiration for my debut album came from. Right there. I was inspired. I thought it was amazing. I inspired many people that day.. but at the same time I was inspired myself.

Q: How does it feel when artists like Electrodeath and huge producers tell you, your what music needs today. Talent, drive, craft and all the good stuff. Does it make you feel any different?

Cinzia: It makes me feel amazing. Just know people like them have noticed me and are enjoying what I do as a singer and an artist. Its great. I love them. I'm getting the chance to tour with Electrodeath, that's incredible. And I got the chance to work with George King, a dream of mine for a long time... this is all just great.

Q: What is your favorite food?

Cinzia: Of course it is and will always be spaghetti, us italians make it best!

Q: Who are your celebrity crushes?

Cinzia: OHHH god.. I'd have to say every guy from Misery Loves Company. There all cute guys. Um..James Urie, Lawrence from Teen Titans.. there's a few guys out there, I cannot believe I just said this all out loud!

Q: One last question, is it true there is a tribute song to your fans on your album?

Cinzia: Yes there is..!

Q: Could you tell us about it?

Cinzia: I'm sorry, I can't ! I cannot spill all the goodies for the album, just wait for it, it will be worth the wait. September!

The end

Title: Fight (You Can Win)
Genre: Dance, Electro Pop
Vocals: Martina Downtown, Laurence Wilson, Den Walnut, Joey Frankson, Tanya Stephenson
Lenght of The Song: 3:05
Written By: Den Walnut, Joey Frankson
Produced By: George King, Den Walnut
B-Sides: Fight [Instrumental], Recognise Me [Extended Edit]
Video: Coming soon.

Brief Description: The track has a catchy electronic beat. It's an uplifting song that may also make the listener have a good dance.
It starts with Joey singing in a sassy tune his lines. Then the beat slows down and everyone sings the bridge slowly.
Next they sing the chorus twice, in which the beat gets faster again and the dance vibe of the dance appears.
The first three lines of the chorus fit well with the catchy beat and then Tanya sings loudly the fourth line and the chorus ends with Den singing the last line, fitting with the beat.
The new verse is sang by Martina in the same sassy way of the first verse sang by Joey, but with the difference of the softer Martina's vocals.
After another bridge and two choruses, Tanya sings the new verse slowly and loudly, as the beat slows down, but it quickly gets faster again as she says the word "Storm".
As they all scream together the word "Fight" at the end of the verse, a sort of explosion is heard and then the last choruses come. At the end, the song finishes with another sort of explosion.

Songwriters' Comments:

Joey: It's of course the best song ever released 'till now! It hasn't got to be the typic "clubby" song, but it has of course got to be the song that has to cheer you up in every situation, no matter what!
Me and Den put all of our good mood in the lyrics and I guess it worked very, very well! In my verse I sing about keeping a light on and it means that you don't have to give up and that we gotta keep our happiness on, which is what the "light" meant to be.

Den: "Fight" is one of the first songs we recorded for the new album. Since I had written the lyrics, I always thought that it may become the best song ever released from us. It has the kind of lyrics and the kind of catchy beats we're known for!
When I wrote it, I was especially thinking about my fans and how much I wanted to cheer them up every time they're going to listen to it. When we sing about fighting, we mean to fight the sadness and the "glory" sang by Martina, in her verse, it's nothing else than the happiness itself. The sun is also meant to be the happiness, just like the rainbow after the storm, which symbolises the fact that the pain always comes to an end.

Lyrics:

Legend: Laurence Den Martina Joey Tanya Together
FIGHT (YOU CAN WIN)
Don't put your head on the table
Don't give up, never give up
You can do it, you can do it
Gotta keep the light on
(On,on)
Keep the light on

If you can't re-re-remember what you used to be
Be another warrior
Another warrior, warrior, wa-wa-warrior

You can fight, you can fight
If you fight, if you fight
You can win

You can win
You can wi-i-i-in

You can fight, you can fight
If you fight, if you fight
You can win

You can win
You can wi-i-i-in

What a shame, don't you wanna think
Think about that victory
Your glory is waiting
(waiting)
For you

If you can't re-re-remember what you used to be
Be another warrior
Another warrior, warrior, wa-wa-warrior

You can fight, you can fight
If you fight, if you fight
You can win

You can win
You can wi-i-i-in

You can fight, you can fight
If you fight, if you fight
You can win

You can win
You can wi-i-i-in

Don't you want to see the sun in the sky
There's the rainbow after the storm
Storm
Storm
St-st-st-st-st-
fight

You can fight, you can fight
If you fight, if you fight
You can win

You can win
You can wi-i-i-in

You can fight, you can fight
If you fight, if you fight
You can win

You can win
You can wi-i-i-in

You can fight, you can fight
If you fight, if you fight
You can win

You can win
You can wi-i-i-in

Beat Sounds like:

In what was a crazy week for Italian singer and inspiration, Cinzia Ricci surged up the Digital Song charts, up a staggering THIRTY ONE spots landing at #4 this week proving her second single Ride Of A Lifetime to be yet another success after her massive hit, Italian Hearted off her debut album ' What You've Been Waiting For' out in September! Can ROALT keep rising?

Quote:
I cannot believe I rose 31 spots! This is amazing! I love my fans and I'm going to keep pushing for them no matter what! I'm just so grateful, and I love the support I'm getting from my fans. They're the best.

This week Cinzia leads the highest rise up the charts as well.

Cinzia Ricci has been fighting her way to the top for a long time....

September 4th, 2011 is finally the day.

What You've Waiting For will be released worldwide.

In celebration for her release this Sunday, Cinzia Ricci will team up with MTV to give her a special called Cinzia: More Than Just A Pretty Face. That will highlight, and look back at all the interviews you may have missed with the superstar leading up to her album release, including footage from her interview with FHM! We will also look back at her inspirational interview with Music Box, her interview with Rolling Stone, as well as her interview with Josh [In The A.M]. So if you feel you have missed out on any interviews with Cinzia, you will be reminded, and better yet will get to see some unseen footage.

Also, as the clock ticks 12:00 am for the official release date for What You've Been Waiting For, Cinzia will be unleashing the world premiere of STRONG, the unforgettable collaboration with Electrodeath with production from Buzz & Hype!!! That will lead up to the official release of What You've Been Waiting For.

We certainly think you are not ready. September 4th; let's make this a big one.

RADIO VINE DROPPED!!!

Due to a lack of communication, we have decided that Radio Vine's future no longer lies with Monk On Fire Music. Ms Vine, who still had 2 albums remaining on her two album deal recently publicly declared that she was going to leave Monk on Fire Music without even coming to the label to discuss her problems.

Kyle Smith today decided that Radio was no longer worthy of bring a part of his label, and so now she is a free agent.
