Alright I've listened to the first 5 songs and then a couple at the end like a week ago.The first song is only like 50 seconds and it's not even really a song,I don't like it.Then the title track, I thought it had some nice parts but it had some bad parts too. Then there's know your enemy which has some catchy parts but I didn't like that either. Then !Viva La Gloria! which was an overall great song. The other 2 I listened to were East Jesus Nowhere which is my favorite, and 21 Guns which is another favorite.

On the first 2 times I listened to it, I had liked it. Then it bored me and the only songs I listen now are East Jesus Nowhere, Horseshoes and Hadngrenades and See the Light.
Unbearable ones are 21 Guns, Last Night on Earth, Know Your Enemy and Restless Heart Syndrome.
This album looks like a mix of Warning and Oasis, the guitar part on ?Viva la Gloria? is the same as Blood, Sex and Booze. Green Day had 5 years to work on it and decide to "re-do" Warning.
Shame, really.

Next.
I own:

I've been fair and looked up numerous reviews (out of boredom if anything). Favourite tracks and worst tracks seem to cross over quite a lot for various people, as well as views of it alongside the discography as a whole.

Though my opinion still remains the same.

Finished listening to the album, it's probably their worst, actually it is their worst unless you count shenanigans as a real album.

I'm watching some live performances on youtube and the songs sound MUCH better live.
They changed Billie's voice a lot on studio.

I'm pretty sure they've had piano since Nimrod.According to Billie Joe most of the songs were written on piano.

Maybe my youthful days and thus ears in listening to music chose to not be heard to me then... But this time I swear the piano saw more use.

Yes completely.AI had quite a bit of piano on some songs too, apparently they're trying to write more sophisticated songs.Though the songs have more sophisticated lyrics and more complexity and versatility to them, they suck.

You took the words out of my mouth sir.
I'd rather listen to 5 songs with 3 chords and 2 minutes long than 3 complex songs with 4 minutes.

No no I like complex songs, I just don't like the way Green Day pulls them off.

I'd rather listen to one chord for twenty minutes than Green Day for a length of time long enough for my brain to compute that I was listening to Green Day.
