Song Synopsis
1. What You've Been Waiting For (prod. DJ Night) The first track which is heard once in you play Cinzia's "What You've Been Waiting" for is the monster of a track called What You've Been Waiting For which. It is the title track and was produced by DJ Night and explores the genre's of trance and progressive trance music. Not to mention the edgy and disco driven sounds of Italo Disco which is heard in the track as well. The song has a quite a long intro, giving us synths, and electronic beats relentlessly over the atmospheric baseline. Cinzia's edgy, strong and confident voice is soon heard over the intro beat where she sings the first few words of the song, then stops for the beat to continue and with her second display of words, following her voice is the intro of a slick and pulsating Italo Disco beat that is added on with the original beat, creating a nice concoction of Trance and Italo Disco not to mention Cinzia's voice, as she belts away onto the chorus singing behind the strong and disco driven beat very genuinely and powerfully about how long she has been waiting for this very moment in her life, singing "This is what You've Been Waiting For, through power and love, What I've Been Waiting For ..waiting for...What You've Been Waiting For" making it obvious that she is singing about the album title, as well as her personal dreams but not directly saying it and writing it in a more sophisticated matter. Another high point of the song is Cinzia's ever famous vocal belt heard on the song in chorus two, seemingly out of no where. After the bridge of the song, the song goes into an outro with slick production of DJ Night giving us this uplifting vibe, where the chorus is sung one more time and the outro ends the song for us. For an opening track, Cinzia offers us something very sweet and strong as the first track coming into What You've Been Waiting for..
2. Italian Hearted (prod. DJ Cloud & The Wolverines) Italian Hearted which served as the albums lead single, and Cinzia's highest charting single to date is a menacing Electro House, Technical House single that can appeal all over Europe and we are sure the United States as well. It is apparent that the song is made to completely light up night clubs and the radio as well, not to mention people's minds. The song starts off with a Tech House beat creating a cool, smooth vibe as Cinzia's confident, strong and sassy voice sings over the beat. The song quickly evolves into a empowering Electro-House beast as the bass line pounces exuberantly over the beat as the song gets thrown with Trance sounds and tuned up horns swaying up and down. The song can make a listener feel as if they are getting attacked by the song to sort of feel the loving, happy, and most of all clubby vibe, even when feeling the complete opposite. The song is about being loved and talks about the heart of an Italian woman, but throughout the song, Cinzia isn't talking about Italian women as a whole, but about herself too, singing the words "I'm Italian Hearted, Italian Hearted, i-i-i- Italian Hearted".
With a remastered and thumping baseline and additional production by The Wolverines making the song more radio ready as well as album ready as to the original underground and not too common to the ear (but at the same time unique)it looks like The Wolverines along with DJ Cloud have hit another home run, and this proved to be true when the song soared to #2 on the Digital Charts, proving The Wolverines and DJ Cloud to be a perfect team for Cinzia Ricci. The song comes after the title track on the album.
3. Fist Pumps From Florence (prod. DJ Cloud) The third track "Fist Pumps From Florence" which was written by Cinzia and inspired by one of her favorite places in all of her home country of Italy, which is Florence. The direct inspiration came from one night where Cinzia was performing at a club event and she was totally exhilarated by the club crowds crazy manner and addiction to fist pumping not to mention all of Florence's night life and club manner that just urged Cinzia to write a track directly for the place, and to hopefully get other people to fist pump and have a "crazy manner" like her fellow Italians when listening to the track. There's no better person to get on production for this song then DJ Cloud, who is also very familiar with the club life of Florence.
The track starts off nice and slow with a menacing drum and bass intro where Cinzia doesn't say much until the song has a nice buildup and begins to start rising to a big chorus break. Before then as the song is rising with the Drum and Bass & generated riffs, Cinzia's sassy and sexy Italian accented voice speaks out "Pretend We're In Florence......Pretend We're in Florence...I want you to...Fist Pump..." as she says this line the song continues to build up, this time with pulsating club beats and sirens and finally, Cinzia says "MOVE!" and the song goes into a monstrous and unapologetic house tune that could only get people moving and fist pumping wherever they are. Throughout the rest of the song Cinzia sings about being living a night in the Florence night life style. Her voice very unapologetic just as the track. This song is likely to light up clubs just as Italian Hearted did, and could potentially be a new anthem for partiers of Italy and Florence!
4. Crying Till I'm Smiling (prod. George King) The fourth track off of What You've Been Waiting For is Crying Till I'm Smiling and is a track that Cinzia worked on with George King who produced Ride Of A Lifetime, and opposed to the first three tracks, when listening to this one the album sort of takes a turn. This track has is the track that has been one of the most special to Cinzia and is the first track where we get the highly uplifting and inspirational feel. The song starts off with a nice guitar solo behind a nice "pop feeling" beat where Cinzia sings with emotion and vulnerability until the song goes onto the hook where Cinzia's voice, out of no where, soars and goes higher forceful as she sings (now belting) about no matter as much as you may cry there will always be that time when you smile and that time 'right now' is for Cinzia. She gets the point across that she did so much crying to get where she is and all she could do is smile right now. Throughout the song she explains that no matter how much crying you do don't let the tears slow you down but in return let it make you stronger till your smiling. The song maintains that inspirational feel all the way until the end as well as being a throbbing Electro-House tune along with the guitars giving the song a nice mixture of both.
5. STRONG ft. ElectroDeath (prod. Buzz&Hype) STRONG featuring Electrodeath is a song that is literally a dream being heard, once you listen to the song. Because one of Cinzia's dreams as an artist was to work with huge Dance Artists Electrodeath, and she finally got the chance to do so with this track. The track, STRONG which was produced by Buzz&Hype and written by the girls of Electrodeath and Ricci herself is a thumping, throbbing, sticky Breakbeat monster that starts off with a nice and ballad driven beat along with keyboards where Magie Lena's beautiful and high pitched voice starts off first. She sings about being strong as an individual and then comes in Yulia, her raspy but captivating vocals add onto Yulia's, followed by Lilly who starts singing along with the two others, there voices sounding perfect layering together with the keyboards and slowness of the song. And finally, Cinzia who belts out "THAT'S WHAT MAKES US STRONGGGG" for about 5 seconds and the song rises up and breaks into a relentless break beat banger that has Cinzia joining the team singing about what it takes to be a strong individual they sing to the bridge, mostly Cinzia, Magie and Yulia with Lilly doing the ab-libbing and harmonizing behind them until they reach the bridge. Where Cinzia shows us a new talent, she sings quick paced making it sound quite like a rap, going with the quick and upbeat manner of the track all the way to the end of the song.... where everything goes quiet and keyboards beat from the beginning of the track comes back on until the chorus where it speeds up again and all four ladies sing in unison, fast and quick about being strong as the song comes to a very 'strong' end.
6. No Stopping Tonight ft. Matty (prod. The Wolverines) No Stopping Tonight was a track that The Wolverines specifically made for Cinzia once she was signed to the label following her big break, and the track shows up on Cinzia's debut album! The song starts off with a a nice, melodious and harmonizing beat as Matty starts talking "Cinz...this is What We've Been Waiting For" as Matty says those words a thumping baseline heard on the track back to back relentlessly as Matty spits out a strong 16 bars rapping about not being stopped tonight, by anyone, and especially by any girl who holds him back from the things he needs to do and when he's finished, the harmonizing beat resumes and Cinzia's voice, this time soft and mesmerizing comes onto the track as she sings "There's No Stopping Me.. Tonight, I'm doing what I want" two times and the beat picks up once more.
Throughout the track the song talks about and encourages people to not being held back from anyone, and for you to achieve you what you want to do. Whether its to become something huge in life like a dream, or from something that you just want to do as a person, even if its a loved one who is holding you back from going out clubbing to the morning time. Cinzia wrote this track because she feels too many people are being held back by other people, and the people being held back should just do whatever they want, despite other peoples wishes. The song covers the genres of Electrohouse, with elements Dancepop.
7. Ride Of A Lifetime (prod. George King) Ride of a Lifetime is the next track from the from the album of the very talented and hungry underdog that was written by herself and produced by George King and brings us through the beauty of Euro-Pop and Trance music. Its start off in a slow, shy, lullaby esque beat that eventually builds up into a full blown Trance expedition as Cinzia sings in a beautiful and high soprano vocal range, singing about her ride through fame, sort of like a ride of a lifetime. She sings about how she has finally reached her own greatness, and that she has finally started accomplishing all the feints that she wanted and how she was made fun of as a girl with an Italian accent but now look at her, she's having the ride of a lifetime.
Pretty inspirational right? The song is soft, its a quick, yet a ballad heavy trance song that shows off the best of Cinzia's vocal chords and emotion and many artists of today couldn't sing such a tricky and high vocal ranged song. Ride Of A Lifetime outshines Italian Hearted in a few eyes because it has a deep message behind it and could light up radio airwaves as well as the dance floor with the unforgettable production by George King. The music makes you feel uplifted and happy, and that's the tone of the song, matching perfectly with the songs message. The song goes to a new high after Cinzia belts away a long and almost 8 second F5 soprano note followed by another build up into a blast of trance and europop sounds that seemingly go on until the end of the song.
8. Beauty & Death (prod. George King) As Ride of A Lifetime, rides off, another George King driven song is heard once more. This song, much more stripped down but still holding on to its techno roots, is a slow techno ballad that was written when Cinzia was the lowest of lows. The song was written when she was 15 years old and was going through a personal crisis with her identity as a person, the fact that she was getting abused mentally in school and the fact that she just didn't didn't know, who she was. The song is very deep and emotional. In the beginning, Cinzia's vocals sounding emotional as ever as she sings over the piano notes, about being tormented by people she thought were friends, and then she sings about not wanting to be in the world at all. The chorus even more sad Cinzia sings "How could someone so beautiful inside, want to die so bad...my heart is aching, I'm just so sad... Beauty and Death... I want deaths path". The song, stays depressed throughout the track until the bridge where she expresses a thanks to herself and her mother who got her out of her depression, and to where she is now. The track stays slow and beautiful all the way to the end, not taking many turns like the previous tracks on the album only speeding up a tad bit for the chorus adding in quicker piano notes, and riffs as Cinzia shows us she does have emotion and a heart, that has been at the bottom pit.
9. European Expedition (prod. DJ Cloud) After the lowest of the lows with Beauty & Death, Cinzia picks us listeners back up with the slick production of DJ Cloud in the next track off the album, European Expedition. Cinzia sounds very confident and happy on the track as she sings about bringing everyone who isn't from Europe on a trip to Europe, and showing them the joys of European music, food, and night life, just like an expedition. The inspiration behind the song came from Cinzia wanting more European tenancies to go more onto other territories because she is very fond of her heritage and upbringing, and she just thinks its great! Like no other place, although she expresses a love for all territories. So why not write a song about how great it would be to bring people who aren't from Europe to Europe and to show them the best of the territory. The song will be best known for its catchy beat and lively nature. Not to mention the topic of showing others who are not European, the European lifestyle.
10. Too Real(To Be A Dream)(Prod. Buzz&Hype) Too Real (To Be A Dream) is another relentlessly produced track by Buzz&Hype and starts off with a haunting beat and then starts with Cinzia singing about how she feels like she's dreaming, as the song goes onto a buildup and bursts into a progressive trance monster she sings "But this is too real to be a dream, dreams like this dont last forever...Or do they? This is too real" behind the strong baseline. The track is very mighty and brings us to a new level for the bridge where Cinzia belts high notes in a soubrette/falsetto manner belting "She's Just Dreaming"..."She's Just Dreaming" with a beautiful but whispery tone. The song then breaks into a beautiful breakbeat/trance mixture that rides out to the end of the song as Cinzia continues singing about how her life has made so many positive changes that she feels like just just dreaming and at the end of the song, the beat stops and Cinzia says "I'm not dreaming....This is Real, are you with me?. And the haunting beat from the beginning of the song rides out one more time for the ending of the track.
11. Ti Amo (prod. DJ Cloud & DJ Night) The final track Ti Amo, is the a very special track to Cinzia. This song was written to all her fans and her appreciation to them. The song starts off very slow and rises up as Cinzia starts singing, she brings her voice high and low for each beginning of the verse to the end as she sings about her fans being by her side threw all the trial and tribulation she went through in her career, but they are still by her side, and for that, she feels a new high, a new type of happiness and she sings deeply to her fans....and as the uplifting tempo of the song goes onto the chorus Cinzia belts out, screaming "TI AMO! I love You!.....TI AMO! I love You!..TI AMO! I love Youuuu" as she continues singing. The song is probably one of the most uplifting on the album, if not thee most uplifting as the song is totally dedicated to her fans as she sings to them all the way till the end as the ending seconds of the song (and the album)come about. Cinzia shows her appreciation by saying thank yous and I love yous toward the ending of the song in Italian as well as singing her heart out ending track has a "finale" feeling to it as well, as DJ Cloud & Night mix in different instruments including drums and dance sounds to give it that feeling as the song coming to an end, and they end it big with Cinzia giving a very long note comng to the end of the song. The song explores the genres of Italo Disco, and House. And with that... What You've Been Waiting For Comes To An End!
THE END! :) BE SURE TO PICK UP A COPY TOMORROW! & TELL US WHAT YOU THINK!!
