First record I bought for myself? Maybe Cast's debut album, All Change. I got Blur's Parklife before that but I'm sure that was a birthday present. And I don't think I bought any of those Michael Jackson cassettes with my own money either. |

Honestly hard to pinpoint. When I was a kid of 9, 10, and 11 years old I listened to whatever my older sister was listening to. So from 2004 to 2006 I listened to what my sister listened to. She definately owned American Idiot (I stole it from her a couple years ago). I also remember her listening to Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy and all that Chicago pop punk Fueled By Ramen stuff.
The first album of hers that I really got into was probably Almost Here - The Academy is... The first album that I got as a gift was on my 11th birthday and it was her idea. It was Louder Now - Taking Back Sunday The first album that I bought with my money (downloaded) had to be something from 2007. I think it was It Wont be Soon Before Long - Maroon 5 I have always bought music in waves so it is likely the first CD I bought I bought alongside another. It has all blurred together.
