DOUBLED MIND with SOUNDED MOVEMENTS (SESSIONS WITH ALLEN) What's the meaning behind the title? So many people have asked me this damn questions, people have asked me, " are you going crazy?" shit, maybe, but I want people to get to get the inside part of me on my months away from the my fans and my family. With my depression, lost and misery, I went thought a ot and I want to dig deep in myself, it's hard to admit to your mistakes, your challenges and life. Shit, I was a girl without a head sense for a while. I couldnt walk by myself, couldnt breath, now I say fuck it, I'm a indepdent bitch with a story to tell. I tend to have two minds, sometimes I dont know how I am, don't know why shit happens to me. Sometimes I think I'm happy, and I turn sad, I just have a mind that is crossed. It's a thing I have to master, it's a mind that thinks different, looks at life different and experience life different. How do you feel about all the shit that went down after your disapperence? DEAL WITH IT! I'm sorry, just I mean, how lies to children like that? I was around a man who was my father and around people who was so fake towards me, I had to find out the hard way after my real mother died and my father was damn near dieing, FUCK! Shit, I lost people in the misery way, but I atleast I'm free from that. You know? (shakes head then breathes out) What did you do when you found out everything? You found out the man who was around a lot was your father, Mrs. Pearl had cancer for years and you seemed you lost yourself?
I just paniced, MY MY MY! Was my fucking reaction. I remember being in the studio and just breaking everything and OF COURSE, minutes later, regretting every minute of me going just insane because I was hurt. I wanted people to be honest with me as a kid because I was battling a horrible disorder, and people was, THIS AND THAT, BLAH FUCKING BLAH! It was a change in my life that I had to just forget it and move on. So why did you just leave?
Do you want me to go crazy is my answer, so I packed up and left, went to so many places... How did you get inspiration for this album?
You know I went to many places, I will go here, then have this sudden moods where I will want to leave, go somewhere else. One day I will be in Paris, and then back to LA, back to Bahmamas. Got a chance to go to Africa. So what I did is take everything, everyone, every thing I LOVED, put it in this head of mines (points to head) I heard shit, different sounds, different sounds in Africa, deserts and islands, when you really listen, you hear a lot of shit. Call me crazy but I took everything crazy aspect of myself, the sound and the movements I saw in myself and the enviroment around me, that was my inspiration. Is this album different from the other albums?
Of course, the other albums I was in a different mind SET, also, doubled mind, on this album, which is really like my debut album, my mind is all over the place, it's like a forest full of music with trees! it's fucking insane, my mind is in two, it's the Radio and it's the mad woman, the woman who is sad, the woman who wants to fucking kill, but cant. It's two in one and it's honesly makes a masterpiece. Why did you choose Danny Allen as a prouducer for your new record?
I was thinking in the studio one day, who the fuck is a talented, very honest and very TALENTED AGAIN! Who the fuck will it be? That has done brillant work in the industry, so I was always a fan of Danny because he is unique and creates something new for each artist and I said, Danny Allen. Get him to me NOW! That why he is in my album title, Sessions with Allen because honestly, it's like a adventure with him and he has made me show the best in me. What do you want this album to show people, your audience?
I'm not just a woman with promblems and fucked up outbreaks and just vibes about myself that I dont like, I'm a artist. I want my new album to make a movement.. Edited by user 08 September 2011 08:14:38(UTC)
