Amber: I'm that blonde chick. You may have heard me on Book's single Tiny Outlet Shops and I am pleased to say that I will be recording their debut album with them, but I still have my own band to record for. We'll be on tour with Book of Love, Bikki and Lily in October so make sure to be there. Until then, we've already recorded a demo which we will be handing out on tour. |

arcades Thanks everybody for welcoming us to the Big Leagues, we've actually been around since Mid to Late '07. Nobody has really taken a look at us until we announced our tour with Bikki, BoL and Lily. Hopefully we'll continue to be on your horizon. Overview:
arcades is a track we wrote over the four years of being arcades. I’d say the prospective feel of the song really captures the overall feel of arcades and we really hope everyone can gain a better look into the band just by listening to this song.
When we first began this band, we were more Math-Rock, more minimalist and as we went on, we added elements that you’ll see in our next song. It’s a crazy song, really fun to play but completely serious on stage. We were heavily influenced by Shellac back then.
Sound:
The guitarist strikes the same chord, for the duration of the song, progressively going higher.
Funny thing about that, is that it means that the bassist really shines here. His own riffs weave in between the guitarist’s repetitive striking.
Now the drumming is basically non-existent until mid-way through the song where he plunges in.
