--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parties OverSong Description: Parties Over has a more relaxed and kind of laid back feeling, a really good melody and strong lyrics. In the end I think it is a a song that makes a largest impression on the record. With the tempo being reduced again for Parties Over, Williams uses his voice on a different and interesting way, he manages to capture so much emotion in a low tone before again demonstrating his talents with soaring vocals during the chorus. The song is long begins with light guitar strumming before some beautiful work on drums by Josh Heyler as the band create an emotional sounding instrumental. The song returns to its beginning fashion during the verses with light strumming combining with Williams low vocals. The bridge to the song is very different, joining the emotional guitar strumming is an middle-aged man speaking over the top of it, confessing his love for a girl. The track borderlines on emo and is one of the saddest songs Misery Loves Company have composed. Band Description: Its the balance between upbeat and sad again here. Its probably the sadest song on the album, about a bad break-up. Its when you feel you've reached as low as you could, then hit a new one with being dumped. I think its really affective because instead of including a bridge, we have got something a little different on there instead which makes the song more sad. It is also one of the only songs on the album to include an instrumental solo. We have a feeling this will be a fan favourite. Lyrics: You..Ive been in this situation far too many times before How longer will I be dragged along by this whore? Yeah fuck it, We’ve been together for just over a year now You broke my heart, yeah go on girl, take a bowIt was you, Its always been you, it’ll always be you, im so sick of you The parties over Blame me, you always do, turn the tables on me Yeah parties over, Its finally overSame old excuse, you would say it’s not your fault Hearing them words is like opening my heart and adding salt I cant forget it it, This isn’t the first and it wouldn’t of been the last You beg me to stay, I need to get out of here fastIt was you, Its always been you, it’ll always be you, im so sick of you The parties over Blame me, you always do, turn the tables on me Yeah parties over, Its finally over“Without her in my life, I don’t know where id be” “She’s the one girl I can always rely on” “Shes my pride and joy” “I wouldn’t change her for the world” “I love her” “Forever and ever”Don’t settle for comfortable, your so much better than that
And if I could tell you everyday, how I feel Would this help us healSounds Like:
Its Playtime Kids (Featuring Kamikaze Kate)Song Description: Its Playtime Kids takes off at an emphatic pace as the band come together on what feels like a song that is actually being played live. The production is once again fantastic and over the first chorus, Williams voice is dare i say it, auto-tuned ever so slightly. Again Williams' sister provides nice work on applying synths to the verses. the lyrics are cryptic yet make sense to Williams as he chants them out light-heartedly. Although where the song really comes to life is during the bridge which features no other than the infamous Kamikaze Kate. Kate's vocals fit the song like a charm and she helps command it as the song hits climax as she sings out "Its playtime kids". Its a short song that packs a punch. Band Description: Its a strange one. Its a song i wrote while on the tour bus with the boys in my high-school days, where ym girlfriend at the time was complaining because she never saw me, but then when i was back in town, she always had "other plans". So i basically just scribbled a few words made them into verses and a chorus. I felt the song lacked something, the lyrics are quite weak but they mean something to me so i wanted to get someone on vocals who could make the song fun and make it special and unique.. thats when we found kate. Lyrics: Ive been waiting for this moment forever Never felt like it was gonna come Ill wait not much longer Im leaving December A long way from home, a long way from youSo, looking back what have I done Nothing that was worth the trouble Even if this is the end I wont be upset, I have had my fun!So gimme just a minute to figure out What really is going on Hurry up with this fuck sake Dont fucking waste my time This is not the end, but I hope its nearSo, looking back what have I done Nothing that was worth the trouble Even if this is the end I wont be upset, I have had my funFollow, Follow, Follow me To a land that others weren’t meant to see Tied to your bed that night I didn’t even put up a fight Those we’re the days, playtimes back kidsSo, looking back what have I done Nothing that was worth the trouble Even if this is the end I wont be upset, I have had my funIts Playtime KidsSounds Like:
Set The ScoreSong Description: Set The Score is one of the more personal songs on the album and serves well on the album. As Williams sings on about how happy he is that this girl is noticing him, he is overjoyed by this, before changing his tone at "I was to afraid to ask" where the song gets much darker. The song is essentially a pop song and would make an impression on most airways as long as they weren't bumming electronic pop. The song plays out over a nice clean and clear guitar backing and this is really the only song where bassist Riley Donahue makes his presence noticeable as the song breaks down over the bridge into a raw bass driven post-hardcore point. Nate Barker again provides his screaming talent as the song reaches its dark climax. Band Description: Set The Score was written during the summer, one of the last songs written for the record. I wrote it whilst i was on holiday in Europe, Cyprus to be more precise. And ah, i would lie at the pool all day for one reason, to look over at the girl sunbathing at the other side. Its not as creepy as it sounds. We we're both giving each other the eyes y'know, i was running high on emotions, nothing could keep me down. So everyday i would come down to the pool just to see her. However, one day she left.. her holiday ended. And i was so pissed with myself for not making a move, not talking to her, getting her number or even knowing her name! Its got a real pop-punk vibe with a few screams from Nate. Lyrics:I knew from the very first day That this could be my happiest stay Your long blonde hair matched with your smile Its just some of the things that attract me about you I thought this could be the start of something I was too afraid to ask in-case you gave me back nothing Your the pretty girl that everyone wants I just hope that i could be the one It was the moment i had been waiting for A chance for me to set the score Come on lets set the scoreI always knew that i wouldn’t make the first move I would just sit back and expect it all to work You where just the shy girl who gave me the signs All i wanted was your attention to show you mine We would stare for seconds which seemed like hours i was thinking your the girl ive been waiting forYour the pretty girl that everyone wants I just hope that i could be the one It was the moment i had been waiting for A chance for me to set the score Come on lets set the scoreYou are the only thing You where the only thing WOAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHYour the pretty girl that everyone wants I just hope that i could be the one It was the moment i had been waiting for A chance for me to set the score Come on lets set the scoreSounds Like:
Runaway (Featuring Chloe)Song Description: Runaway is the only acoustic based ballad that always seems to get thrown in on these type of records. But make no mistake, this is no filler track. It's a slow, acoustic number which eventually leads to some big sounding guitars to accompany the duel vocals of Ryan Williams and pop sensation, Chloe, who guest features on the track. The song builds from the start, as it begins with a quirky and sweet acoustic string plucked sound although as the first chorus comes it begins to build, with the introduction of Heyler on drums yet the track remains mellow as the band tease with fake climaxes. AS we enter the bridge, we hear the ever-present on this record group vocals chanting "runaway" over a guitar and percussion building instrumental. Before taking off into buzzsaw guitar lines and a pounding finale, where Chloe is introduced and signs her extended verse over the pounding drum beat. The collaboration then climax's on the songs final chorus as both Williams and Chloe combine to sing the chorus together. Band Description: Runaway, the album closer. Its a really nice song with quirky lyrics. After writing it, i thought the song required female vocals for it to work. So, we called up Chloe and her management and they we're more than supportive of this cause. Its really a song about a relationship, the highs and lows. A relationship which has many break ups which is showcased in the second verse, which is a change of mood compared to the first one. And then on the bridge which we are very happy with, me and Chloe both sing together and we feel its effectiveness. Standing at 6minutes long, we hope it will keep your attention throughout! Lyrics: Remember when, we’d stare right at the stars, We would pick out which one was ours My eyes are sick of these tears, You think we’d been together for years Yeah we’d pitch the tent, we’d then have an argument, but soon after we we’re content I loved you then And I would do it all againWait for the darkness tonight, This will be the night, where we will runaway And not look back the next day This our runaway, our chance to make it alright Together we’ll runaway, your my runaway-ayWhere did we start to go wrong, was it already that time The time to move on We would stayed out my back yard, talking for hours Lying on a bed of flowers You always said forever, no matter wherever, ill be there whenever You call me up When did we sip on deaths cupWait for the darkness tonight, This will be the night, where we will runaway And not look back the next day This our runaway, our chance to make it alright Together we’ll runaway, your my runaway-ayRunaway. Runaway. Runaway.Runaway. Runaway.Runaway. Runaway.Runaway. Runaway.Runaway. Runaway.Runaway. Wait for the darkness tonight, This will be the night, where we will runaway And not look back the next day This our runaway, our chance to make it alright Together we’ll runaway, your my runaway-ayThis is not the end but its near, We cant try to pretend that we wont fear, This cant be real I wont accept it, Please help us heal I just cant quit it, Theres you again Saying it wont last, Put me through the pain Saying we had a blast, There is no way That we will be back, Its time for us to stray We’ll never be on track..Wait for the darkness tonight, This will be the night, where we will runaway And not look back the next day This our runaway, our chance to make it alright Together we’ll runaway, your my runaway-ayRunaway.Runaway.
