Stronger (Deluxe Edition) - Official Site
"Stronger" was the top 20 debut album from the girl band 'Storm'. It produced the No.14 hit, "La Isla Bonita", the Top 10 single "This Is My World" and the top 20 single "In My Heart". The album tracks were produced by the likes of, Nadia Berry, Will.Rocca and Damion Holmes. After receiving many positive reviews from comments, even from Stephanie Fierce!, the album was sure to be a hit with fans. And it was! Album tracks like; 'She Was Stronger' and 'How Do You Rule My Body?' became fan favourites and the girls were up their with the biggest girl bands at the time; Brown Sugar, Hard Sugar and Girl Spice. The girls popularity was rapidly increasing though not everything was going smoothly.
The girls came under some harsh criticism which branded them as "out dated and not original", which upset many of the girls. However, Charlotte worked her magic and turned to girls into glowing beauties that everyone wants to be like. Though, the girls look wasn't the only thing that troubled the girls. The chart performances were not up to scratch and their label, Junction Records went bust. The girls debut single received mixed reviews as it was a cover and not anything original. "La Isla Bonita" managed to reach No.14 here but failed to chart in any other region. The second single "This Is My World" was praised for being a rocky attitude packed song and it went straight into the top 10. The third single "In My Heart", was the groups first ballad. It only peaked at No.17 before quickly falling out of the charts. The debut album "Stronger" only peaked at Number 12.
Now, the girls are back with a new version of "Stronger" which is definitely "Stronger" than before. It includes 6 new tracks and the radio mix of 'La Isla Bonita'. The lead single from the album is titled "So What!?" and it will premiere this week on the girls official VEVO channel. The new album also includes more pictures. "Stronger: Deluxe Edition" will also be released in America
(only marketed only as 'Stronger') and "So What!?" will be their debut US single.
After many ups and downs the girls have finally managed to turn themselves around and put themselves back on top where they belong. Now, as Jennifer is now out of the BB House, all 5 girls will be all over the magazines and on TV promoting the new 'Storm'!!!
Singles"La Isla Bonita" [TOP20:No.14]'La Isla Bonita' was the first single released by Storm. It became a top 20 hit, reaching No.14. The song was a more danceable version of the original Madonna version. The track reached the peak of No.42 in Ireland. 'La Isla Bonita' was originally recorded with just Jennifer and Charlotte's vocals for the demo as the other girls were all ill! Awwwww
"This Is My World" [TOP20:No.9]'This Is My World' is the groups biggest hit to date, reaching the Top 10 in the Top20 Airplay Charts. It is a rock/pop song that is filled with aggression and attitude. The video is set in the streets of London. It was used in an advert for a brand of lip gloss. Many people see this as their debut single as it is their first original song released.
"In My Heart" [Top20:No.17]'In My Heart' is the third single from the group. It has been described as a beautiful ballad which really showcases the girls vocals. The song is their lowest selling song to date, however it is still known by many fans as one of the albums highlights. Did you know that Zoe had a terrible sore throat whilst recording this? I know, you wouldn't have guessed!
"Big Baby Kid" [Germany: No.143]'Big Baby Kid' was released as a digital download only single in Germany. It appears on the original version of "Stronger". The girls released the single there as it was played in a German commercial and Storm also have a large fan base in Germany. No video was made for the song and despite its very low chart position, the audio video on YouTube has over 4 million views,(Even more than their singles!)
So What!? [Top20: TBR]'So What!?' is the upcoming lead single from 'Stronger: Deluxe Edition'. Not much is known about the track as it hasn't even been heard yet. However, Zoe from the group said;
"It is even rockier than 'This Is My World'. The song is very tongue in cheek and is definitely my favourite song we've done so far!" Judging by her comment, that song is GREAT!
