'Soldier' is the second official single from the upcoming album "Exiled". The song is a ballad which shows off Michelle's impressive vocal range. Written by Michelle Green and Jenny Hudson, this track restates to people that Michelle is at the top of her game and nobody can touch her or move her from her throne. Despite being a ballad, it is very laid back and has an almost R&B beat to it. Michelle explains the track;

Michelle's Comments

"Soldier" was originally written by me and Jenny for her new album but she thought that my vocals would best suit the song and she didn't want too many ballads on her album. I loved the song since I heard the finished version of it and I knew that it HAD to be a single. It is songs like this that made me re-work the whole album to make it perfect, just like 'Soldier'. At the time the song was originally supposed to be about a woman who is going to war during WWII and showing her strength, well I suppose it still is about that but since I discovered I had the Big C, I looked at lyrics again and thought 'This is what I'm going through at the moment! I'm the soldier in this song and the war is my cancer'. Just then, I decided 'This is being released ASAP!'. All profits will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
