Luke Striker (born August 26, 1991) is an American musician and actor originally from Jacksonville, North Carolina, he currently lives in Los Angeles, California. He initially broke into the music industry earlier in the year with a single called Sorry Again and then landed an acting role in Secrets In Suburbia, he has been spending the majority of his time working on new material for a possible debut album.

He was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina and has one younger brother and one younger sister. He always had an interest in music, he began learning to play the guitar at the age of 10 and has always been interested in several different arts but music was always the thing he loved to do the most. At the age of 14 his father died and this pushed Luke to work hard for everything that he wants out of life. He was forced to grow up and mature quicker due to his father’s death as he learnt to look after his mother and his two younger siblings, the death of his father brought the family closer.
In early 2011, Luke moved to Los Angeles, California in an attempt to make a career in the entertainment industry, he has since released a single titled, Sorry Again and landed a role in the star-studded horror movie, Secrets In Suburbia. He is now set to begin planning his debut album in the coming months.

“Hey everyone, so it’s been a while since you’ve heard anything from me. I guess things don’t always work out according to plan, I should have had a debut album out about now but you know, things change and you’ve just gotta go with what you think is best, so I’ll try to explain as good as I can on what’s been going on. Not really sure how to talk about it all but here goes, my brother (Age 18) is now in a warzone fighting for his country and my sister (age 17) is now studying at the Julliard school in New York. I couldn’t be more proud of them but this meant that someone had to take care of my mother, She has Alzheimer's disease which she was diagnosed with a few years ago when I was 18. So I’ve spent the last couple of months taking care of her. It sucks to say this out loud but she’s in a residential care home now because things got worse and taking care of her on my own just wasn’t an option anymore and It was the only choice that I could really make. So for those of you that were wondering why I disappeared for a while … well that’s the reason.

As for now, well I’m back in Los Angeles, and my mom is being taken care of amazingly well, I’ll be flying out to see her as much as I can but I know that she’ll want me to try to get back to working on my music which is what I’m planning to do. So it’s been a tough couple of months but I’m pleased to be back and hopefully some good things can come out of all of this. I’m already planning my next single so that’s pretty great and then hopefully an album will follow it … and I guess that’s everything explained for now. So I guess, thank you for listening, I’ll speak to you all soon again.”

BLOG #2: A MESSAGE FROM LUKE – NEW SINGLE COMING SOON

Hey everybody

I hope your all doing well out there and enjoying the new year so far, I know it’s been a little while since you’ve heard anything from me but I assure you all that I am still very much alive. I’ve been writing a lot over the past few months, some of it has been good and some of it has been not so good, but I am trying my best to get something finished up and out there for you all but it’s been proving to be a little tricky to find my voice and find something worth singing about, I don’t want to just release an average pop song that’s been done a million times before, I wanna put something out there that gives you something a little more and hopefully gives you a good idea of what type of musician I can be and there will be a new single released on 22 January, it’s a song called ‘Come Back Home Someday’ so keep a look out for that, but in regards to a full album, I’ll continue to work on things at my own pace in order to create something that I’m proud of, although that will mean waiting which I hope you all understand that it’s not always so easy to get things up and running.

The good news, if you choose to see it that way is that I’m sat in a recording studio as we speak and I’m putting the finishing touches to one song in particular that will be released as a single on Sunday, of course it’s gonna be released independently so my expectations aren’t set too high, I know that I’m still yet to fully prove myself as a musician but I’m looking forward to finally putting some sort of material out into the public domain for you all to judge me and I hope that you’ll enjoy it.

But until then, I guess this is goodbye
