Misery Loves Company
BIO
Misery Loves Company are a 4 piece pop-punk band hailing from Los Angeles, California. All members are aged between 18-19 and have known each other since high school. It began when Ryan and Riley had the same PE class, both of them didn't do PE and found a friendship talking about music and their favorite band Blink 182. Soon after Riley's older brother Josh was playing drums in his house and Riley asked him if he was interested in jamming with them, to their delight he accepted. At the beginning they intended to be a post-hardcore outfit this prompted them to hire screamer Nate Barker and Barker's friend Shay on Bass. They begun touring in local pubs and venues using the money generated to fund their debut album. The band have spent the last year and a half finding themselves and writing for their next album.

The band formed in late 2010 through Lily Williams and Alex Ward. Both went to high-school together and we're in different bands, but agreed to get together for a school talent show. After winning this, they decided to start their own band together. Jamie Cruz and Kris Wallace we're brought in from Alex's old band to play Bass and Drums whilst Nathan Barker was brought in by Lily as he was a good friend of her older brothers. The band started out covering songs as they performed short tours around local clubs. In early 2011, Chasing The Sun we're offered a record deal with and unknown label but declined due to not receiving enough royalties. The band have recently went on n unofficial hiatus due to lead guitarist Nate Barker leaving the band and Alex Ward starting a solo project.

Kayla Rivers
BIO
Kayla Rivers is 22 years old and was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kayla always had ambitions of making it big in the world of music, and at the age of 16 she taught herself how to play guitar. In attempt at following her dreams, she moved to California at aged just 19, she bought a cheap apartment and spent all her money on showcasing and recording her music. Kayla however faield to impress major labels from her time in LA and this resulted in her becoming broke and being forced to move back home to Philly just 12 months later. Kayla got a job as a waitress at her local restaurant and worked there until she had built up enough money to follow her dreams again. On her 21st birthday, her parents gave her enough money to record several demos in a cheap recording studio in Memphis where she successfully recorded and self-produced 4 demos. Kayla then started debuting her recorded material at her local clubs and bars. After positive acclaim from her local newspapers/critic's she started playing on a wider scale, touring the east coast as a support act in an Unsigned Act's Tour. At 22 years old now, Kayla feels she is now ready for her second and perhaps final attempt at tackling the music industry, together with her father as he manager.
