(Alec, Dan, Matt, Nick)
BioSuburban Sunrise started when childhood friends Matt Urie and Nick Johnson both began to play instruments. Matt decided to pick up the guitar and Nick decided to pick up the bass. The two started jamming together and then added their friend Dylan Kendrick on the drums. When the three began playing they went under the name "Forget Me Italy" but has time progressed they added two new members and decided to change their name to Suburban Sunrise. In March of 2010 the band embarked on their first tour opening for a local band. On March 26th 2010 the band released their first EP named "Lost In Your Arms" which was not very notable on the bands part. On the day of the release the band announced that current singer(Jenny Garcia) and lead guitarist(Charlie Garcia) would be leaving the band due to creative differences although the two members stated that the choice was not theirs and that they were forced beyond their will to leave the band. After the two left the band announced the addition of three new guitarist would be joining the band. Joel Werster would be playing lead, Joe Hollis on 2nd lead, and Alex Anderson on rhythm. Matt would continue to play guitar but not as the main instrument. Matt took over on lead vocals. When the band added the three new members they all decided that they wanted to harden up the sound of Suburban Sunrise and went to a Post-Hardcore sound. On May 7 2010 the band released their first full length album named "Doesn't Mean Its Legal." In support of the new record the band hit the road on a headlining tour that was a total train wreck. None of the dates of out and the band lost money on the tour. And to add to the total destruction halfway through the tour Alex, Joel, and Joe announced they would be leaving the band because of a recent fight between all of the band. When the band announced the departure of Alex, Joe, and Joel, Matt, Dylan, and Nick announced that they would be finishing out the tour as a power trio. On the last day of the tour the band announced that their friend Nicole Woods would be coming and joining the band as the new vocalist and Matt moved back to guitar. On August 4th 2010 the band released their second full length album and the first featuring Nicole titled "Torn Filthy Love." The band has been touring the album since August till now. On December 1st the band released their second EP which was a self titled EP. The band showed a new sound to their music by adding in Electronica but while also keeping the same classic Suburban Sunrise sound. The band released "Torn Filthy Love" and the self titled EP on the label Shooting Star Records. On February 27th 2011 the band announced that they would be pulling out of their record deal due to a dispute between the band and the owner of the label who shall not be named. Later that day the band announced that they have signed a new multi million dollar contract with Junction Records. Junction announced on their website that they are looking to make Suburban Sunrise the biggest band in the world. Only time will tell if its true. On April 26th 2011 bassist Nick Johnson announced that he would be leaving the band because he feels like his heart isnt in music anymore. On April 28th 2011 Suburban Sunrise was dropped from Junction Records due to a fight between Nicole and singer Katie Coyle. Later that day Suburban Sunrise was picked up and signed a deal with Hacylon Days Records. On June 25th 2011 SS released their third studio LP entitled "When All Else Fails... Run." The album was a big hit for their fan base but didnt bring in many new fans and many called it a "Cash Crop" album. After the release of the album SS went on a hiatus after a rampage by lead singer Nicole Woods. During the hiatus Nicole spent time in rehab and Matt attempted to keep the house, and keep everything steady but after being dropped by their label they lost everything. Suburban Sunrise is now back and better than ever with their new album titled "Scream!" which hit stores on November 18th 2011. After two strong singles from the album hype started to form around Suburban Sunrise once again. Now back with the "Emo-Punk" sound that people fell in love with, the new album fails to disappoint! On February 5th 2012 it was announced that singer Nicole Woods was killed in a car crash and that the band name would be changing from Suburban Sunrise to The City Of Sin and that Matt would be taking over the lead vocalist position and that he is bringing in new members with him. Adding to the lineup on drums Alec Johnson who is former bassit Nick Johnson's brother, on bass former bssist Nick Johnson returns to the lineup, and now on lead guitar former guitarist of The Walls and Mudshovel Dan Richards. Matt also said that they will be heading into the studio to record a new single as soon as he returns home from the UK and recuperates from the lose of Nicole.DiscographyMembers:Matt Urie- Vocals
