The Tour Diary September 13th – Houston *Toyota Center*19,000 fans went to Toyota Center to watch The WICCA tour. Several changes happened till the last diary of the tour, first all the artists of the tour increase their currently set lists, even Foxxy who recently released a new single with Buzz&Hype, made her “till now” best performance ever! She got the audience on her feet. Ellie-Grace released her debut album recently too, and seems like she is gonna be one of the best breakthrough artists this year. Cinzia is on her place definitely; her artistic skills hypnotize the audience in a way that probably will result in more success for the young talent. ElectroDeath knows how to entertain, the song “WICCA” which not coincidently, it’s their third single, was added at the set list of the tour, and guess what? Cinzia has join the stage to perform with them, so we got this witchy, funny theatrical performance. September 15th – New Orleans Arena Experience“How are you all? How you’re doing fine, because we are totally HAPPY! The possibility to enter that stage and play for you all these amazing nights is just being so great guys! It’s like every concert we finished is a accomplishment feeling, and of course all the love you guys send to us is just so incredible and it gives us a strong energy that even after the concert we want to hang out and keep dancing! YOU ARE AMAZING! New Orleans was just so incredible! All the posters you brought to the show really made my tears of emotion in that night! Also we had an after party this night to celebrate the shows we made till here, and it was so funny guys! Cinzia has bee teaching me and Lilly how to speak Italian, special tips to our European Leg that is about to come! I also want to say to all of you, support Ellie! Her album s AMAZING she showed us all the music, and I have to say that it was incredible! So far this has been the best tour we ever made! …This performance was made during the Encore of the concert in Atlanta, where Cinzia Ricci join the stage with ElectroDeath to perform the last song of the night “Wicca”…
The stage is dark, but the crowd keeps calling “ElectroDeath” back to the stage, and some minutes after, a mysterious ambient sound is played and a yellow lights appears in the middle of the secondary stage, where Yulia comes from the ground of the stage, she is wearing a big white floating dress, while holding her microphone and singing the first strophe of the song.

This first strophe is sung In a slow ambient melodies, Yulia walks calmly around the stage while singing it, when the lights change to green and blue, Magie and Lilly, who are wearing the same dress as Yulai, comes from the ground of the stage too, to join Yulia in the chorus of the song, where all melodies becomes fast and electronic, the song becomes great, and the girls sing the chorus of the song while performing a dance step, inspired on animal movements.

The song breaks down for some second and behind at the main stage Cinzia appears wearing the same dress the girls are wearing too, but she is with a Orange one, once Cinzia is lighted at the stage the song resumes to the house fast electronic beats f the second strophe and Cinzia comes walking through the catwalk till she reaches the secondary stage where the girls are still dancing, Cinzia join them in the dance movements they were performing.

Again at the chorus the girls sung it all together, and while they are singing it, ten dancers coming from where Cinzia first appeared seconds before, bring a big caldron, supported by small wheels on the base of it, to the secondary stage where all the girls are still dancing and singing the second chorus.

When they get to the secondary stage, the girls enter the caldron, while Magie sings the last strophe of the song, while this the dancers keep dancing a modern dance routine in front of the caldron while the girls are in the caldron clinging themselves by lift cables.

When Magie whisper the word “WICCA” a big explosion of orange fireworks happen, and the girls are lifted from the caldron they were, while they are lifting, they start to rotate 360º on their own axis, and the song enters on its break dance melody, at the stage are the dancers dancing, and the caldron is getting down inside the stage, from where Yulia came from in the beginning of the performance. The girls starts to stop rotating while they are lifted down, till they finally reach the floor of the secondary stage again, helped by the dancers, the girls sing the last chorus of the song, while dancing the modern dance step routine of the song.

When the song ends, the same ambient melody that started the performance keeps being played while Cinzia spells the last phrase of the song.

When she stops the spelling, a big rain of glitter falls over the crowd and a big word on the led screen of the stage appears while the girls are leaving the stage, by getting inside of it from the ground and sending kisses to the crowd.
“THANK YOU” September 20th Orlando – Amway ArenaThis night The Wicca tour passed by Orlando and so Pop Justice made a review of the night. “The Wicca tour has been traveling all around America so far, and Orlando could not miss this big pop extravaganza concert. Compared to previous tour made by ElectroDeath, this is their larges and biggest tour yet, not only because of the three openers but because of the big stage, the special effects and also the incredible 3d images. Technology is very used and abused in this tour, everything to make this a very profitable series of concerts. But music is not only made of visual or special effects, and in this case we can say they survived very well supported by their electronic beats and fast dance movements, not everyone can dance and sing at the same time, and so does ElectroDeath, the girls get tired and some moments they are supported by backing vocal singers, specially on high notes, but let’s forgive them for this, because this tour is not a r&b concert or a rock’ n roll one, this is a pop concerts where dancing an choreography is more than needed. Well taking all the elements that a pop concert has to be, we can say that this is really fun and enjoyable to watch! All the performers are really interesting and fun to watch, Cinzia who completes ElectroDeath, Ellie that feeds the rock ‘n roll space left by the headliner and foxy that jokes with everyone and puts her grime lines to all Americans fans. 4/5 stars” September 22th Miami – American Airlines Arena (technical problems news)Electrodeath are really close to end their USA leg of the so far successful “WICCA tour”, and right in the end of this leg, they start to live some technical problems, like the main circle stage where the girls perform a water dance number, had to be cancel in this Miami night, due to technical problems the platform presented while the girls were checking the sound for the performance, so the idea was to keep the performance of the smash hit “When Your Heart’s Not Open” on the ground and without the water, this didn’1t bother the fans who sold out the venue to watch the band live. Another technical problems kept with the 3D scenes of fire, something went wrong in this segment what made the scene keep In 2D, this wasn’t the only problem with the 3D effect, other scenes showed in the screen with the same technology kept it’s 2D format, the mangers and production teams of the tour, said that while the next performance will only happen in September 27th, they intend to fix all these problems in time! |
