Speechless is the debut single from American singer-songwriter, Rowan. This is the first song of Rowan's career, and was one of the songs written while living in new York. The song is also the first song she ever recorded in a professional studio.

Writing and Recording
The song was written in 2010, after Rowan moved to New York City. The song was recorded in a studio in October 2011, and is also the first song she has ever recorded professionally. Rowan had this to say about the writing of the song: "This was one of the first songs I wrote when mt boyfriend dumped me. It was about how I wasn't ready to let him go, even though he had already moved on to another girl. It is also written in a sort of time warp thing. Some lines of the song are after the break up, and the others are about before we had started dating, and how I felt at that time."

Song Description
The song is the slowest Rowan has ever written, and was originally planned to be vocals and a piano. Rowan had this to say: "It starts off with me singing, and the piano accompanying me. I got to the studio, and we just started adding my kind of sounds. The electronic tunes, the electric guitars, and the violins. Soon I was taking the song higher and higher, and it ended up having a high note a octave higher than I planned. I got a little carried away." the song features heavy vocals, which are deep, and consistent with the whole song. The song's last minute also includes some impressive belts from the female artist.
