Black Cat Records was founded was originally founded in early 2011 by musical couple Kendl and Gabriel Djoh. It was originally launched as an Indie/Soul inspired label and everyone worked together like a little family. However, due to personal and family issues Kendl and Gabriel stepped down as heads of the label and sold it off. The original artists on the label also parted ways due to numerous issues like Alexia Mimi, Sol Carter and Jenny Hudson (1992-2011).

Now owned by pop star Zoe Thompson, this label is slowly becoming a star studded place with acts like Teen Titans and Stephanie Fierce on board! Black Cat is now more commercial and open to an even wider variety of acts. Still like a family, this label shares a lot of love and support for each and every member.

Now new owner, Zoe Thompson is upping the game. Promoting her artists as much as possible and putting blood sweat and tears into the label, she is one woman you wouldn't want to mess with. Born in Derry, Northern Ireland, Zoe grew up as a lone child and turned into a feisty young woman. A very business headed person, Zoe may come across as forceful and demanding but she really only wants what's best for her acts and for people she cares for.
