Thank you for the beautiful… BBC: But you are really beautiful… I mean look at those eyes… HAHA Abie: Ok, you’re embarrassing me right now. BBC: Oops sorry, anyway, how are you doing? Abie: I’m doing really well thank you, what about you? BBC: I’m fine too, so recently your album was certified Gold, how does it feel for a debut album? Abie: More than the expected I guess, I never thought I would sell more the a million copies with my firsts ingle for example, so people are really surprising me every day, it’s just so great when you go on the Top Heat Chart Album website and you see your name there… HAHA it’s just an inexplicable feeling. BBC: Do you feel this same feeling on tour? Abie: Absolutely, touring, especially with Cassie, who is a very known and popular artist, is such an exciting experience for me. I have to admit, I don’t think I would be able to make a tour on my own right now, so it was really cool that she accept me supporting her, we sing almost the same style of music so each evening is just so wonderful to see all of those fans cheering at you even you’re not being the headliner. BBC: What is the most difficult part of being on tour? Once this is your first experience touring. Abie: Well, I think just the fact of being far away from your home, far away from your normal life, can be sometimes stressful, but it is so worth to be able to sing for thousands of people from different styles and countries, it’s just so cool that makes everything good. BBC: So you’re releasing tonight the third single from your debut album which is the song “Pimp’s Tears”, names apart, why did you choose this song? Abie: This song is a fan favorite, when I’m performing the fans asks for me to sing it, so I decided to release it as a single, and probably make a funny video for it, because up until now I’m only doing sad and black and white videos, HAHA… BBC: Cool, I want to say that this is my favorite song from your album too, let’s hear it, right now! Do you want to introduce it? Abie: Hey everyone, I’m Abie Lena and this is my new single “Pimp’s Tears”… Pimp’s Tears Written by: Abie Lena and Yulia Volkova Produced by: Yulia Volkova, Abie Lena Length: 4:00 Genre: RnB, Jazz Song Description: The song has a piano and jazz drum sequence increased by an old Guitar, making it sound like a funeral march, this melody keeps playing till the first chorus starts where the song receives a really sad and tragic violin orchestra, also there are some backing vocals added after Abie sings the phrases of the chorus making it repeat. Before a short stop on the melodies the song comes back to its original funeral march to continue the second strophe and the same goes like the first till the chorus again. The song has a break down melody where a classical church piano enters followed only by that old jazz drum sequence, this is the most sad and tragic part of the song. Despite all the darkness surround this song’s melody, it is a fast song, and the lyrics are really funny to hear, it is about a hooker giving up of her lovers, cause she is sick of that life, to make the song funnier Abie sings in a ironic tone, her voice is not so clear like the first song, here we can perceive some old effects on her voice, just like in old radios. Abie: Well, I have to admit, I’m so ready to record a new album very soon, but first I have so many things to do, one of them is the tour, then I’m gonna buy a house for me, believe me, I still live with my mother LOL. But hopefully b the beginning of the next year I’m gonna be releasing my new album! BBC: Sounds very cool, do you have any idea of how it will sound? Abie: I have a couple of songs written, but you know my songs represents the way I feel I that moment when I write them, so I’m feeling really good right now, probably they’ll sound more fresh and fun… but in the end they’re all gonna be jazz and soul influenced… BBC: Thank you so much for you time! "This video represents a Bitch side of me, I think every woman has it, well at least we have to be sometimes a bitch, especially for some kind of men that keeps breaking our hearts.. HA HA, I'm really feeling fine right now, never been so happy before, so I decided to make this a over dramatic video just like a soap opera, I hope you guys will love it like I do!" XOXO Abie “Pimp’s Tears” Abie Lena Love and Heartbreak Directed by: Francis Lawrence Quote: The video starts in a sophisticated cabaret, where gentlemen are entering in the front door, with their suits, to enjoy the show, the video focus on one of these gentlemen, who’s supposed to be Abie’s lover, he is wearing a white suit, he enters the door of the cabaret, and he finds a table so he can sit relax and drink some whiskey. Abie is in the dress room preparing to perform in the cabaret, but the music is already playing and she is lip-syncing the lyrics of the song, as she keeps looking at the mirror putting her makeup, and dressing herself with a red dress. When suddenly a female dancer enters the door of Abie’s dressing room, holding a rose bouquet with a card on it, she gives the bouquet to Abie, who reads the card, and after it a tear drops from Abie’s eyes, but everything is too overdramatic to looks sad, Abie is dressing up like she was whore, she tries to hide her tears putting more makeup on her face. While in the stage of the cabaret, a man announces that Abie would perform, seconds after she enters the stage, to sing, and while she is singing she finds the man wearing white suit in a table near the stage, he keeps smiling at Abie and sending kisses to her, while she keeps pretending she is a shy girl, rolling her eyes to another direction. The video switches to Abie again at her dressing room, it seems that the performance is over, and she is resting and taking her makeup off, when the man enters the door to compliment her, and then they kiss each other, just like a classic Hollywood movie, where the lady is held by the gentleman and lifted down. Again the videos changes to a hotel room, where Abie is lying down beside the man singing the final phrases of the song, she is naked under the sheets and covers of the bed, before she ends the song, the mand wakes up, dress himself and leaves some money near Abie, she doesn’t look at him, she keeps looking to the roof of the hotel room singing the song, the man leaves the room with no goodbye kisses. The song ends with a Abie laughing sarcastically while she keeps looking at the money the man left for her.
