NEW ALBUM: "PARASITE"  Release Date: November 29, 2011 Genres: New Wave, Pop, Electronica, R&B, and Soul Label: Epic Records "Parasite" is the sixth studio album by recording artist Stephanie Ortiz, and is scheduled for release on November 29, 2011 through Epic Records. The lead single from the album, "Love In Anesthesia", premiered on mainstream radio October 23, 2011, and was released on iTunes worldwide October 30, 2011. Stephanie Ortiz unveiled the concept of the album "Parasite" in an interview with "On air with Ryan Seacrest": "The title of the album was inspired by love and the relationship between two people. I always feel that as women we are the "Host" of the relationship and the men are the "Parasite". They are only here for self benefit, and is women end up not benefiting anything at all from the relationship. Parasite is my alter ego. He's a bit more selfish and aggressive than I am and appears throughout the album, to sort of add toughness and edge to certain songs."Track-listing: 1. PARASITE

The song was written by Stephanie Fierce and produced by Death Icon. It premiered worldwide on mainstream radio October 23, 2011, and was released to digital outlets a week after on October 30, 2011. Critics praised Ortiz's new direction with the song, "What makes the song different is the fact that it isn't safe and could put Ortiz in a whole lotta trouble with her typical fan base, as they are not used to hearing something like this from her. But we on the other hand, are proud to see Ortiz branch on to other directions in music. This could potentially be the best Ortiz song to date". Stephanie Ortiz filmed the video for the song on October 24, 2011, in France. Ortiz released pictures of Days 1 & 2 of shooting on the set on her official website www.so.com . Cassie: Wow I can't believe this is your sixth album. I remember being a nobody and listening to the first five. May I say that each album has been extremely fantastic. You have yet to fail me. That's why I'm looking forward to this one.
