Aaron Marks - vocals/rhythm guitar/keyboards
Jamie Watson - lead guitar/keyboards/backing vocals
Scott Walters - bass guitar/keyboards/backing vocals
Derek Baker - drums/purcussion/vocals

Formed in the Summer of 2011 by Aaron Marks (known for his acoustic solo project), along with friend Derek Baker (who is also in Aaron's live band when performing as a solo artist). The duo created the project during the recording process of Aaron's debut album, Peace Love And Other Trending Topics, after a creative block caused the pair to begin writing in a style of music that Aaron wasn't looking for in his album, but still found appealing. The pair new that they would be unable to perform and right in the new style with just the two of them, so brought friends Jaime Watson and Scott Walters into the band. The group are now working on material for their debut EP and will be searching for record label support along with tours that will not clash with Aaron's touring plans as a solo musician.

As our name is Fright Knights, we thought that it'd be for the best if our first update was done on Halloween. (yes we know that might seem a bit cringey, but we're too cool to care!) So, who are we? We're Fright Knights, a four piece band who have been working on material for the past few months, and its safe to say that we personally think its amazing. Let's just say it's mainly indie-pop music, containing a little bit of pop-punk.

We've got our début single out on iTunes Sunday 6th November, called What You Want. We're releasing it without support from any label, and have paid for the recording studio with our own money. Also, it's been produced by our own Aaron Marks. We just want to give people something to listen to whilst we work on either a full length album or a short EP once Aaron is back from his solo tour throughout November. That isn't to say that the other members won't be working on material during this time, it just means we won't be recording.

Also, we are looking for a record label to support us, so if you like the sound of What You Want then just ask, we'd love to have a label backing us. However, if not then we'll just continue in the same manner as the past few months, it's surprisingly easy. Ah, if there are any spaces on tours after November then we'd be interested in opening. Playing live is something that we're yet to attempt as a group, and we think that it'll give a better vibe on the music we're producing if we get to play it live.

Derek: Cheers dude! In my person view theirs no point being signed to a label if they haven't got a preview of what you sound like!

What You Want - (2:44)

A slightly distorted guitar opens the song, playing the same chords for the opening 10 seconds on the song before the programmed drum beat comes in, and a second guitar is heard playing alternative chords, and a a heavy bass line comes in. The guitars become more distorted, and come into the background of the song as the vocals from Aaron come in, fast and high toned until the chorus. During the chorus the music changes, with the guitars still staying the same, the bass line changes slightly and their is a use of a simple chime based keyboard note that is repeated as Derek sings in a fast tone "You know, you know that this is what always want. I'm always what you want" with Aaron singing the word "want" in a held note as backing vocals. The song then continues in its previous format. After the second verse of the song, the chorus is repeated twice along with the added effect of a crowd of people talking getting gradually louder before a brief, simple guitar solo with the crowd talking in the background. The song ends after a final repition of the chorus.

"The mean theme behind the song can easily be guessed by the title "What You Want", although the lyrics make me seem likely arrogant it's not the case. It's more of me attempting to persuade a girl that we'd work out, then she dumped me and I got over her, blah blah blah, then she wanted me back. It's more me taking the piss out of my own mistakes and that girl at the same time." - Aaron Marks
