Presents
An Exclusive Interview With Misery Loves Company!

We caught up with Misery Loves Company to talk to them about their first ever headlining tour, Two Sides To The Story, band documentary, future plans and Little Devil.

(Ryan Williams, Nathan Barker and Riley Donahue playing live)

K!: So, Misery Loves Company, how's things?

Ryan: Things are great, y'know! Everything has been running smoothly lately.. thankfully, and we're excited to be here with you.

K!: Great stuff! You guys are just back from your first ever headlining tour with S.H.I.T and Down But Not Out. How was that?

Nate: That was crazy good! Was seriously the biggest rush ever going on stage in-front of hundreds of people screaming and singing along to your music. It was amazing, we are already planing to do it again!

K!: Any plans to tour the UK?

Ryan: Actually yeah, we had a tour provisionally agreed with two other artists, but it has fallen through due to numerous reasons which i can't disclose. But, yeah, a Uk tour is also in the process of being created and hopefully we will get over to see you guys very soon!

K!: Now your debut album which came out 2 months ago 'Two Sides To The Story' took you guys to number 1 and had you labelled as one of 'the future' by many including Sanitary Towel's Scott H. How did that feel?

Ryan: That was seriously one of the most incredible things we'd ever heard. When we we're getting ready for the album release, we had in our minds that this record was being made to get our name out there. Have people know MLC. But the response the album got is something truly unbelievable! To go number 1 and sell out platinum is, well, their are no words to describe how we felt. And even now, we are still 2nd in the charts, we are just honored that people liked our album so much.

K!: So, from what we here, TSTTS is now over for you guys. You will ditch touring that album and get to work on a new one, is this correct?

Riley: To some extent, yes.

Josh: Well, although we feel like TSTTS is so personal on many levels to us, we do also think that we maybe rushed it a little. When we play it back now, we do think there are many things that we would change. So yeah, we are going to begin work on a new record and single etc.

K!: What can you tell us about the new record?

Ryan: Well.. nothing. *laughs*. We haven't recorded much or really anything for that matter thus far nor completely written it but we want to try and show the 'real' Misery Loves Company, we want to strip back to the days before we had a record deal and just play the sound we love and the sound that made us. I think the new record will have far less ballads and more anthems! Early signs are suggesting that its going to be much darker and are most honest record yet.

K!: Sounds interesting! What's the situation with 'Little Devil'?

Nate: Little Devil has been recorded and mixed now! We are so proud of it. It is easily our best song to date. It has a much heavier sounding and we worked again with our good friend Sam Maine from The Verdict Is Vengeance on it, he laid down some vocals for the track and they came out awesome! The song will premier very, very soon.

K!: We look forward to it! So, are the rumors that you guys are going to release a documentary true too?

Ryan: Well... yes. We took a camera team on the road with us during our tour last month. We recored our sets and and done some really intense interviews. The DVD could come out at the same time as the album. Its still in the very early stages there too, so, more details will be released in due course.

K!: Misery Loves Company, thanks for taking the time to answer some questions, good luck with everything!

Ryan: Thank you.

Josh: Thank you very much.

Well, are you excited for Misery Loves Company's new single? What are your thought on Little Devil? Will you see them live if they tour near you?

Glamazon: You guys have had such huge success and I can't see it slowing down any time soon... for the inner psychotic feminist in me, that's not a good thing. But when I put that aside and realise you guys make fantastic music, it's a wonderful thing. ;)
