Scott Childress was born on December 12, 1989, in the south side of Mount Vernon. He was introduced to music at an early age by his parents. Both of his parents were musicians, his father a famous jazz pianist and his mother a singer. When he was three, his father began to teach him how to play the piano. He was very good at but, when he reached the age of thirteen he began to hate playing the piano. That was around the same time he fell in love with he hip hop culture. He started rapping and producing his own music at fifteen. Over the years, Scott has released a few street tapes however, he never performed live because he was too self conscious about his sound. If you ask him now, he will tell you confidently, he's ready. STAY CLOUDED

Cloud Guru to release his only project this year.

Cloud Guru in the studio

Devoted fans have been waiting for Cloud to release new music this year. They have usually been blessed with one or two projects each year but, this year it seemed like Cloud would not release anything. That's not the case anymore. I was told by Cloud that a new free "album" would be released on November 27. He has been secretly working on it since the release of the Keys part deux last year. He believes that the world is ready to hear, Ways to Cope.

A couple hours ago I interviewed Cloud Guru, hoping to gain more information on Ways to Cope, CG's upcoming project.

Me: What was the reason for keeping this project a secret for so long?

CG: I don't know, I just wanted to focus on it without too many distractions. I figured if I announced it early I would spend a lot of time out of the studio, doing interviews.

me: you do realize your being interviewed now?

CG: Yeah, but this is different, I'm pretty much finished with it.

Me: okay so tell me something about, Ways to Cope.

CG: well, WTC will probably be my best release yet. um, most of the songs are about problems, you know the things people go through whether poor or wealthy. I think this mixtape or free album or whatever you want to cal it will display the growth of my technical skills.

Me: so is it safe to say that WTC will be more serious than your past releases?

CG: Yeah, I really focused on having more songs that are serious, you know stuff that will appeal to the fans of so called, " real" hip hop. That being said, I have some songs that are what my fans are accustomed of.

Me: okay, how many songs will be on WTC?

CG: There are fourteen songs on it, including the bonus songs. The original version had twenty one songs, but I think those songs will be better suited for future tapes.

Me: okay, it should be dope, I'll definetly look out for it on the twenty seventh. Thanks for your time man.
