an open view of the future

Howdee all. The past 2 weeks the band has been on a short break from touring, making music etc in order to focus on family and friends. This period has given us all a lot of time to think about what is next for Misery Loves Company. As you all know we have written 25 provisional demos to record for our next record, and the general vibes coming off that was that it was going to be much heavier and darker. Little Devil is an example and the best one at that to a view of what the album would sound like.

It's a really difficult process, figuring out a specific direction to take on a record, we want it to sound different from TSTTS but at the same time, don't want to change our sound completely. So, we have came to the ultimate decision which all 3 of us figure would be the best for the band... we are going to scrap the plans we had to record a new LP and instead release a 6-track EP instead. We will hit the studio next week and try to get the EP out in January. We have really big plans for it and think that you will all love it just as much-if not more than TSTTS. That's not all though... the plan is to get the EP out in January then a feature length LP before Summer! And there will be a lot of surprises regarding that LP..

For now though, details of the upcoming EP will be announced on Saturday. I hope your as excited as we are.
