Another Face In The Crowd
The announcement of Alicia Lena as the headline act of tonight’s show was met with cheers as the lights went down around the venue and one solitary light shone at the centre stage, showing a solitary piano with Alicia Lena sitting at the stool, as the cheers began to die down, Alicia smiled and started to play the opening introduction to her first song, she looked around for a moment, adjusted the microphone and smiled before speaking to the crowd, “Hey, you enjoying the show so far.” Which was met with cheers, she quickly followed that up, “This is called Another Face In The Crowd, hope you like it.” She starts to play the RnB introduction on the piano as she begins to sing.

After the previous song finishes, the lights remain fixed at the piano where Alicia is sat, she smiles briefly as the crowd can be heard cheering and applauding. The crowd cheer at the end of the previous song and as the cheer’s die down a little, Alicia takes a moment before introducing the next song, “I’ve been listening to a lot of old music recently and released that no matter how long we try, it’s gonna be pretty darn tough to compete with some of that stuff. But I’ve been writing a lot for the next record and I said to myself that I want to create a very gospel-like song, something to make people believe that good times come around if you just open your eyes a little more. So I guess this is the outcome.” She stops talking for a moment while she begins the piano introduction to the song before continuing, “This is called, Drop The Needle And Pray!”

As the previous song finishes, Alicia looks over at the side of the stage and then back out at the crowd, she adjusts her microphone before speaking, “Alright, I think I’m gonna need a little help with these next two songs.” She smiles and points over to the side of the stage, “Benji come out here” She laughs a little before continuing to the audience, “Could you welcome my buddy out here.” The crowd cheers as she continues, “Ladies and Gentlemen, on guitar … Benjamin Luna!”. Benji walks out onto the stage wearing a white jacket and with a guitar over his shoulders, he stands centre stage next to a microphone stand and Alicia signals to him as he begins to play a soft guitar introduction quickly by Alicia’s piano introduction … “This song is called, If I Should Fall Behind.” She smiles as they sing the song in harmony.
