The song was written solely by Stefani when she was on a train journey to visit her cousin, she spotted a loved up couple in the seat across from her's and they were all over each other. This inspired the idea for the loved up lyrics of 'You Sent Me Flying'. The song starts with a heavy clapping and Stefani's voice deeply singing the 'yo yo...' part. Then the funky Caribbean style beat kicks in during the first verse and continues throughout the song. When the chorus is sung, the clapping comes back in too and everything merges together into one great jam! When the 'yo yo...' part returns, Stefani sings alongside a male voice over the slow clapping before returning to the funky chorus. The single will be available to purchase on Sunday 18th December in Europe, followed by an American release on Christmas Day! "My first solo single is officially here woo!
