Who is Radio?

Radio is many of things. Dramatic performancer, writers, creative mind, a woman with thoughts of the scared and brutal society she hates to live in. Radio is the songstress that once fall down due to many droppings of albums, the performer who amazes the crowd with bizzare and stage dramatics of music. She is the voice that carries thought her soul with so much emotion and power in a woman who was often seperated in her entire life. A woman who lives in a world that is only based around her- when reality knocks on the door and she nevers answered. Lies and smiles sometimes confront her in cold nights. The fashion and amazing growns she wears, makes her feel like a different person, glamorous she always wanted to live. Dreaming of the day, performing in front of large crowds with a guiter and rock music, she still havent reached the peak of the moments of life she wanted. She continued to thrive for success, but the risks and events she took often broke her down. But Radio- however isnt the woman to stay down, with pain and suffering she had; she transformed such emotions that passed in and out of her mind, didnt know where the next hit or song was coming from, but the events guided her to find Radio's true self as a artist, performer and a true icon in the making. She wasnt the girl who did music for media or press, she was the girl that did Music for the help and healing of people who was just like Radio- lost and yet still found in own personal minds. Radio sings from the heart, she sings what is deeply in her heart, doesnt leave out any parts or any words. Music was the found and the soul of her, she couldnt go far without the world hearing her pain, or the world seeing she is just as normal as her fans. But her life is a unstabled one- one day, life can be sunshine and the next, life can be stones.. stones that has broken apart when she thoughts life was just a sweet as day. Radio is the oppsite of today's music- she takes pride and yet greateness to the sound that she creates. Her emotions, life and people surroading her, her past... inspires just a deep and powerful album today.. Radio is.. the invention to tomorrow's generation..


THE COVER-

Radio did severel photo shoots for this album- but wanted something to connect with her fans, she wanted something simple to really focus on the music, and not so much the creative side of the arts this time. The Invention of Me cover was shoot by a Bahamas photographer when she went into disapperance and actually grew inspirations from the Bahamas people, John Kelowie took the very focused Radio Vine, looking strongly into the lens. She wanted to showhow portray a picture that shows her growth and her courage to do such a meaningful albums. She wanted makeup, but not the dramatic side of Makeup Radio usually does in her persona. She wanted all white to witness a ghost that finally came back alive because that ghost couldnt confess or finally live the life that was right in front of it's face. The ghost is back alive in Radio and is ready to see the future. She also wanted to show the fem side of Radio with long hair and white backgrounds, to say the soft side of a woman who tends to go into the more aggestive side. The back of the CD, which is an amazing shoot of Radio's performancing; she choose this backcover because this picture was tooken after Allision With got out of the hospital after a fatal car accident that always took the singer's life. Her photographer wanted to capture a picture where Radio was happy, doing something she loved and not losting the only person she had left in her life. Her eyes was going that way because she was looking at Allision being taken in after the hospital release to her first performance of Only Love can Hurt, she smiled sightly when she saw how amazing Allison looked after being in such a tragedy accident. She wanted to album to be personal and every song or poems and stories that she wrote when she was in her disapperance that is included in the albums notes and inside the albums pages, poems and stories, also bonus lyrics to sing along with the music.


INVENTION OF ME

Invention of Me features deep and powerhouse music from artist, Radio Vine. She portrays her love of powerful instrumentals that are used for rock and her love for emotional and touching classicial music that is made into a more modern day form and her excitement of electro-rock that gives all means into more greatness of a album. All these elements are the elements that made Radio the music and arts lover today, her life was very aggestive, but she takes this album and makes it more aggestive to show her power and emotion in every track on the album. Every instrumental or effects used, she sat down and really thought about what effects and instrumentals, music really defines her as the woman she is TODAY, not last albums, not last year, the woman she is TODAY. She wanted to dig deep in herself, confessed many sins and promblems she faced into this album. She wanted to connect more better with her fans. The direction is takes is to show her life, mind and all thought this year- her promblems and strugglies to continue to make good music. Invention of Me came from the title of ' Radio finally growing into a better woman and musician.' The confessions she trackles down is the confessions made to move on in life and take the risks and heartbreak into a more better reaction of turning in to pure gold and music for her fans. People dont know you until you really show them or they have to know you personally, no one knows Radio like she does. All of her excuses and cries- isnt excuses anymore. Her fanstays and worlds- isnt here anymore. Why? All of that past and worries are in this album. It's more of all of the things she had just locked inside of her mind for a decade of her life, finally let's go, takes over and put in every aspect of this album, down to the lyrics, arrangements of the tracks and the sound. After Radio got done recording this album, somehow she felt she could move on and be a better person. She finally let's go of the past and start over in the future for the better Radio as a artist and performer. Whatever happens- she locked in every things or events she did when she traveled across the world to find herself, she took inspirations from people, stories and even visited severel places when she was kid and remembered the memories she shared at certain places back in the foster home and wrote down in stories and poems; she went back in the studio and produced the track that she felt was her and she felt it was a release to her mind. This album is not like TWICE AS DEAD, SILENCE.. It's more deeper, the lyrics she writes isnt like the other music she created- why? because she is becoming this mind, statue of a woman who grew strength and courage, nothing Radio had or even encounter after she saw her fortuned and blessed she was, her life may be a little messy at times- but she is still a ARTIST, and she wanted to paint and framed this picture of a growth from when she first came out with Color Me, to now- Only Love can Hurt and this album. She takes the woman she was, and the woman now to find build of the invention of her.


Inside the Sound


The sound is a lot of powerhouse tracks that Radio really vocally performed in. A lot of live Orchestra is performed in this album, also live instrumentals, including guiters, drums and keyboards, some also played and performed by Radio. How Classical music was made back in the 80's, with the strong background vocals that blended well with the orchestras players is one of the strong elements that makes Radio powerrocking voice in strong melodies and emotional arrangements that makes you feel the emotion and power and passion Radio has about the music and her change. Her new formed discovered Rock Band called Once Losted, is the band that performs a lot of talented arrangements and compositions of the music that moves you emotionally. The sound is power, mindblowing and the quality is fresh and unique.

Why did you choose this song to be on the album?
You know, I didnt want to leave this world and not be remembered for the music that I did; I want people to notice my vision and dreams. I dont want people seeing me as this woman who was only a singer, " Oh that bitch, she was here, now she's gone.." I wanted the world to say, " Got damn, she made great music and she was a true artist.." Fuck that going into the grave and not being remembered, people always say, dont care what people think but dont you want to one day be in history? To make a difference? I know at my funeral, I dont want people crying because I'm dead, crying because they know I left a legendary behind me, no hate, just pure love for what my vision had to offer to this world...


What do you remember first when you wrote this song?
I remember the clouds moving, I was outside of my studio and I remember the clouds moving... very slowly.. like time was slowing down for me to realize.. time is running out.. we are only here for an amount of time then we are gone.. I realized, get off your ass, it's time to change.. No matter how hard it was and it was hard, to do it.. I had to just not care any fucking more and just do it..


Ever thought you will write some deeply for a song like this?
No.. my deep thoughts comes at night when Im alone so writing this, made me feel so much achieved..


So it's two versions of the song?
Yes, the single version and this album version. The one you will be wearing today is the album version.


THE SOUND OF BEAUTY

" I really wanted something that was so easy on sound, very calming and peaceful, but with powerful lyrics. I wanted to really challenge myself to that, it was fucking hard, thinking I could really think of these sounds in my mind and have my team come up with the concept of the weird sounds I will make with my mouth and the visions that I had at night with a big band playing behind me. It was hard, but I think we finally got it down. "


PROUDUCTION

Radio walks in with a long black dress on to her feet, about twenty musicians are standing in tall gold chairs with gold and black Clarinets and severel others with guiters. They look deeply into Radio's eyes to Radio standing in front of a hanging pic for the ceiling and equiqment around her. " Let's get this down.." On the right side of the room, the clarinets players are playing and the left side is the guiters. The clarinets players start to play a low key note that provides a soft vibration within the notes, giving a peaceful feel it as the guiters then led in at 30 seconds into the clarinets lay off notes. They start to play a very uptempo guiter play, very easy on the ears as the guiter strings in the middle are feeding back with the top strings. The clarinets players then rush after the guiter players are playing for twenty seconds with the clarinets being played high and very energetic. The guiter strings and the clarinets mix well together as sometimes the clarinets will soften, letting go the high tempo and letting the string provide quiet touch to Radio's singing acapella to some of the low notes. During the hook, the clarinets are playing in a row. One will start off low to the building of the high to the enegetic guiters of the guiters blending in, sounding in the background. The strings will calm down but the clarinets will then start off the building of the notes again to the hype of Radio's voice and the banging bass turning up to the second verse, leading to the same arrangements in the building, going into the bridge. After the bridge, the clarients players play a soft and blues session for 50 seconds to the guiter strings, cutting off and playing for twenty seconds to a grand finale to the building of both instrumentals to the loud voice of Radio, screaming into the mic during the last words of the song. She shakes her arms during the song to get the very raspy notes out of her diagharm, reaching for the bigger sound of her voice. Radio and the band claps to the finale playback of the song. " That has to be track one on the album, it's soooo goood guys!! WHOA!" She screams out. She gets a drink of water to getting ready for the second song recording.

DESERVE TO ME (TO LIVE)- 4:45


We wanted something very fun and very honest, more of a live athem that people can go by that had the misery and the horrible thoughts of sucide or just having the time in their lives where they feel like life isnt going anywhere. I saw that growth in me where life wasnt going to stop, just because I was having breakdowns and I wanted this world to stop and let me get my shit together, no Radio, the clock and the night still moves whether I liked it or not. I just couldnt deal with that, I just couldnt deal with the fact that life can treat you like shit, the saying life's a bitch then you die. While sometimes, it's true, but it's how you see life as- life can be so stunning, so meaninful, but if you look as life being so tough, you wont see the beauty life can have even when the strugglies and the fucking betrayal reality of this, shit, you will want to say FUCK FUCK FUCK it, but life stills, say with it if you want to live. Dolls, dont be so aggestive towards life, everything wil be so straight forward with you, it may push the living shit out of you, it may just kill you, but I'm going to enjoy the ride. Everyone deserves a life, it's just what you make it and this track really shows what I had to learn.


PROUDUCTION

Prouducers came up with a very nice textured of style of pop and funk into this track, where it's a uptempo but the lyrics outshines the background echos of wristling and the background effects of planes flying to make the track more touching to Radio. She wanted to provide a fresh sound, but yet remarkable lyrics that tells her journey to learning this lesson that changed her as a human being. She was in the school, writing, but something didnt seem right as we played and played around with sounds, but when her prouducer- Sir Zulla walked in one morning with these effect of wristling that and laugher, showing different effects and elements of life, laugher, crying and dancing is the elements of how life can change. We mixed it in with a track that is so remarkable in sound, but touching in moments of Radio as her vocals is one of the best in this album. On the beginning, are echos of Radio singing in a very low toned voice, but her voice grows into the first verse, leaving you hearing the echos and soon, joining in are the wrislting and the uptempo background vocals that joins well with Radio deep, but yet controlled voice outhought the song, her voice doesnt sound, it's more of a freesprited track where Radio wasnt worried about the voice, she was focused on pasting the message on to her fans and the listeners. During the second verse, Radio does a lot of runs and riffs along with the vocals in the back that are so connected with Radio while she is singing. During the bridge, the background vocals are singing, while echoing the laughter, cries and plane flying effects and then a loud cry is heard, to the big laugher and then a sudden pause to at the first beginning where Radio is singing to echos, then it speeds up to the original concept of the beautiful funk material that goes well with this song. The lyrics may be a little straight forward, but the energy is nothing like Radio has done. At the end of this track, we came with with:
