Well, Congratulations go to Cinzia Ricci this year! Over the last 7 days she has the most copies of her song downloaded and is this year's Christmas Number One! This week it wasn't always looking like that, at the point of the midweek Top 5 being released, Cinzia was actually second to Buzz & Hype by about 30,000 copies. She managed to boost her sales massively and beat the power duo by 10,000 copies in the end. Congratulations, and good luck for next year everybody!

Right, well i've decided to add a new feature to the charts; it will help to keep things fresher and will allow newer songs to dominate rather than older ones holding on for weeks and weeks and weeks. After a song has charted 8 times, the top option (35,000) will become unavailable and instead there will be another lower option (500). This will hopefully help to filter the older songs into the lower areas of the charts helping to add another touch of realism to the chart. If you have any comments on this please say so that i can make it work. This week there are no songs that have been in for 8 weeks, so this will become active as of next week's chart. So you have until then to ask about anything that you may want to know. Thanks.
