The newcomer in the world of music that grew up in the soulful towns of Detriot and New York with a talented musicial influenced family brings you the first beginning of true soul and RNB music that is now one big movement for acts like Abie Lena. Me'Ria always use to hear her mother singing hympths of classic soul music when she was growing up and always singing in the church choir that devoloped such a polished voice. Her mother will always sing to Me'Ria before she went to sleep and Me'Ria, being a great listeners will always take influence from her mom's very soulful rasky voice to her head and try to sing like her mother when she will do solos in the church music festivals that will battle off for prizes to sing Gospel and RNB ballads and music. Me'Ria was a very creative little girl, gathering up theatre showcases and scripts to perform at the festivals to make the performances I little more interesing to watch when the choir and the vocalists started to sing. She wanted excitement and energy being on stage, not just a simple RNB performance with spotlight and a mic; she wanted grace, excitement and appeal to performing, she wanted to give the audience a SHOW, not just the song. Give the audience that soul in her voice, deep in her heart that makes the song extra original and more heartfelt to the listeners and audience.
Her strong dance ablities to tap, jazz and modern, growing up in a performing arts school; Me'Ria was determined to build herself up as a performer and dancer, not just a singer. She wanted all the talents of a performer to come in handle one day and once being in love with acting later on in high school before graduation, she took acting on to a other level to her being this aggestive, tom boy with a twist of unique hiphop attuides that is yet tough and aggestive, but can be sweet. Me'Ria is always serious about her work and took over three months to find the right single and sound to work with. Her prouducer, 1Ace that is met at a young age helped devoloped the Beyonce, Ledisi range and chest range out of the world to the longer notes and the Carey built up vocals to make the music more powerful in her vocals. He wanted a sound in RNB,Hip Hop and pop music to mean something dearly to Me'Ria, for her to give each time an mindblowing performance in each track or album that she does. He wanted her to feel she was in the right sound to provide good music.
What is Love is the debut single from Me'Ria, that was also prouduced by Alisa Williams, another great prouducer that Me'Ria met after she was being considered to get sign to Black Cat Records. She provides smooth and very melodic tracks to the soul world while 1Ace gives the aggestive and power in the voice and movement of the arrangements to the instrumentals. The team helped create this smooth and emotional simple beat that makes you want to close your eyes and relax to the beginning of Me'Ria soft mumbs in the beginning to the lifting of her powerful range to the end. What is Love is about Me'Ria hurting people or love ones she thinks or may have felt love in a different way, not knowing what is it, just saying it because it's sweet to say; not actually knowing the true meaning of 'love' at an early age of 19. She writes based on experiences with guys in her life, but gives something for the ladies in the second verse as she takes about a lost woman in lost love where woman doesnt know what real love is anymore, expect all been hurt but she goes with the concept on realizing she doesnt know what love is if she never had it before.. She lets go her vocals to soft, but yet deep soporno in the second verse, relaxing her vocals during the hook and chrous and the Beyonce power in her bridge is the finally headcore of her vocals, to the ending of a stunning note that leaves you breathless to the yet new voice, ready to build her music based on voice and talented and unbeliveable knowledge on love, pleasure and life.
