OOC: Looking for someone to help me manage this. PM if interested. Thanks

History

In early 2010 Vin Peters was just a guitarist in a band. That band was Reported Failure and they were being approached left and right by label after label. One day Vin had the idea of just giving a big f*ck you to all of the labels that were just out to use his band to make a few bucks and instead of signing with them Vin and some friends put their heads together to start their own record label.

One of those friends was Max Pruitt who joined the label and managed it while Vin was busy touring with his band. With Max's help Reported Failure was able to release their third and highly successful album "Disarm". After it's success Max and Vin decided to expand their label and sign upcoming artists.

Low on money, but willing to take big risks, the first few artists signed included Realm and Riot! in the Boulevard. Vin is now credited with making these two band's fantastic careers possible, and some might say discovering or kickstarting their careers. The success of Realms' "The Sacred Chants of Death" Riot's self titled debut album, and Reported Failure's fourth scene reflecting album "Post-Grunge Catastrophe" the label became a serious indie trendsetter.

Nomad could now sign bigger acts like Bikki, James Urie, and more lesser known acts like Such Strange Arts. Then with the further success of Bikki's singles, the looming fate of new albums from Bikki, Reported Failure, and Realm, plus the massive influx of artists who want to get onto Nomad Records, it was time to expand. Max Pruitt and Vin Peters split Nomad Records essentially into two branches.

Liberation/Nomad Records

Liberation/Nomad Records is for already established artists who have found success. Liberation's name speaks for itself. It's purpose is to let the artists on it do whatever the hell they want and then the label will jump behind it regardless. The artists on Liberation have already made an impression to the point where they are free to go ahead and do what they want and the head honchos will be able to trust that anything they make will be good. Liberation artists get larger funds to make their albums and their albums will be distributed more widely than those of regular Nomad Records artists.

Head Honcho - Max Pruitt

Other Important Folks:

Vin Peters

Artists:

Reported Failure
REÄLM (1/2)
Riot! On The Boulevard (2/4)
Katie Coyle (0/2)

Nomad Records

Nomad Records will remain the same. Vin Peters will mostly manage it in attempts to make one of it's artists massive just like what he did with Riot! in the Boulevard or Realm. Nothing is being taken away from regular Nomad Records but artists who are moving to the Liberation branch of the label. Nomad Artists will still be free to make whatever music they want, but they are more closely mentored. Nomad Records is basically for unknown artists who have yet to truly make an impression and once they have done so they will be granted the perks of Liberation.

Head Honcho - Vin Peters

Other Important Folks:

Max Pruitt

Artists:

Cartographer (0/2)
Actually the Enemy (0/2)
James Urie (0/2)
Brooke Summers (0/1 or 2?)

No Venues Tour Tickets

Random News

Riot! in the Boulevard
are teasing us with hints that there will be a "slightly darker second album". Cue me frantically phoning them telling them I want to be a part of the production.

Reported Failure kicked off the No Venues Tour lastnight. Also will soon have another single from the EP out soon.

Cartographer are back! They're out on the No Venues Tour. Maybe some new music soon?

Suburban Sunrise have an album that will be out soon. I think the date has been announced but I'm forgetting it. Also they like most Nomad?liberation artists are on the No Venues Tour.

Brooke Summers is working on her album. I look forward to hearing what she can do!

News
Hello everyone. I'm glad to announce that Nomad Records will be sponsoring a stage for Total Annihilation 5! Reported Failure and Gears of Fate are already confirmed for the festival. More Nomad/Liberation artists are likely to come! Get out there and get your tickets.

UserPostedImage

Also, soon there will be something very cool happening here at Nomad. I don't want to give too much away but it will involve music, your favorite bands, and UPS! So of course it could be absolutely anything. All you know is something cool is going to happen.
