Lauren: Hello! And welcome along to Kerrang! TV. My name is Lauren England, and this slightly large-nosed and sweaty individual beside me is my friend Aaron Williams, and..Aaron: Hello! (Waves)Lauren: (Laughs) Yeah...Aaron says hi too. As I was saying, we are two whole fifths of the pop-punk newcomers CrushCrushCrush! and we are here today to give you some details about our debut album. Sooo....Monsieur Williams, what do we wanna say?Aaron: Ummmm....can we talk about like the release date and the name and stuff?Lauren: (shrugs) I was gonna keep that until nearer the end, but I'll be honest, I got nothing else yet...(laughs and turns to the camera). Why did no one think to tell us it would be a good idea to script this?Aaron: I guess they thought it would be funnier this way? Yeah? Ooooohhhh, this guy's nodding, he knows that's the truth! Haha. Alright dude. Well, anyway, back to the matter at hand. Our debut album will be released on the 11th March 2012. That be a Sunday for all ye pirates and people who haven't got a calendar.Lauren: What?Aaron: I said "that be a Sunday", and my mind thought "Oh *beep*", you gotta try and save this bro! So I did...Lauren: (Laughs) Nah...Aaron, I don't think you did man...I really do not think you did. But, anyway, as my one eyed, peg legged hombre here just said, our debut is scheduled for release as of Sunday March 11th 2012. It's been a long road for us to get to this stage, especially me. To be on the cusp of something for all that time with BLS and never quite make it, particularly with how the rug was pulled from under our feet last minute, that sucked. So to get this second chance, is awesome, and I am genuinely humbled to be putting an album out there. And if it comes out and people like it, then that will honestly be the best day of my entire life. A lot of people say they're either "all about the music", or "making music for me". But us, we make music for the fans. At the end of the day, if it wasn't for the fans we already have, we wouldn't even be at this stage in our career. We owe it to them to make a kick ass rock record that they'll love. And if they do, then mission accomplished.Aaron: Touching...haha. I'm just kidding. I gotta say, I'm not as humbled as Lauren. As you can probably tell from wizened good looks and stuff, I'm a tad older than my little fringed friend here, and I've been battling at this *beep* for years and years now. So, for me, humbled would be the wrong word. Relief is a better word. Yeah...I am really *beep* relieved to be getting to do this at last. I've known Lauz for a long time now, and getting the chance to work with her was awesome. I knew if I did, that the chance to make my dream come true, and get a rock record out there would be much more likely to come true. Now that I'm here though, aside from the whole, hands on my knees, bent double, breathing heavy and shouting "Thank *beep*!" I am genuinely excited about seeing the fans' reactions. Like Lauren said, we gotta make something that those kids will wanna play again and again, because it's not all about making money or getting famous, it's about doing what you love and bringing joy to a lot of people, if you can.Lauren: (Smiling) Yeah..it's really awesome, so we hope you guys dig what we got in store for you. Ummm title next? Yeah, we decided to call the album PRESSURE POINTS. I think it's cool, Aaron came up with an idea of pressure...Aaron: Yeah, mainly because of like, how I felt I was under pressure and this was my last big attempt at making a career in music, so pressure seemed like a useful metaphor for myself you know? Anyway, when I put it across to the guys, they were all like super stoked about the idea, and we managed to develop it into a better metaphor.Lauren: The reason I thought it was cool had a lot to do with what Aaron said about the fact that it was a metaphor for his life. I felt like it was a metaphor for anyone's life. Aaron might be feeling the pressure, but at the same time, I'm feeling the pressure, we're all feeling the pressure, everyone watching at home is feeling the pressure. I guess what I'm trying to say is that pressure is a part of all of our lives. We all have a little moment sometimes when we feel we have to get something right, or get something done, and so I think it's nice to have this sort of all encompassing title that can speak to us all. The Points we added later, partly because it epitomises all of those little moments of stress and stuff, and also because I think alliteration is cool!Aaron: GEEK!Lauren: Hahaha thanks Aaron (flips him off and laughs loudly)Aaron: Anyway mein gute gute freunden, it is tme for one of those commercial break thingys. Come back for more after this.Lauren: MWAH!OOC: Part two tomorrow, I'm too tired tonight lol |
