The scene flew right by me I'm afraid. Not too many British bands that I like founded post 1980. I mean, there are a few, just not a lot. |

I was too young to appreciate it because I was like 5 when it happened. Edited by user 21 June 2009 10:41:53(UTC)

I also recently joined a band called Mystic. We are Britpop Revivalists and we luckily are all in Manchester, so we are playing our home city's music. Like Seattle's music is grunge, Manchester's is britpop. |

* not truly 'britpop', but they made a couple of records around that time so i threw them in . . . anyway, all good groups. in retrospect it's a whole lot better than the crap the nme have been championing for the latter half of this decade (thanks for that, strokes).
ocean colour scene, bluetones, menswe@r, lightning seeds, cast, northern uproar (lol) and kula shaker were awful, though. |

Yes, i know all of that, but i think those bands will dominate in the near future. A bit off topic i know. Just felt the need to spread the word, personal as it is. What the heck is freak folk? |
