for the first time since i started two weeks ago, my happiness has slipped. its still relatively high (97). is it imperative to keep happiness at 100 the entire time? is there any benefit (perhaps in song writing) for the band to be unhappy for a spell? if not; what is the best way to get happiness back up?

Well, hasnt harmed my song writing i write mostly 100 songs and my happyness is in the minus number. I think it just means you have to rest more. But it doesnt make a difference. |

Ditto, practice songwriting, tour ability, and rest after most. |

Don't play until the next three-hour update, log in after you've got your seven shiny new points, and the negatives will be automatically set back to 1. Rest up from that. my band's happiness level won't budge. resting doesn't seem to help. i've wasted close to 20 points resting, and the happiness level just goes up 3 or 4 points. then i play one concert and it goes back down.

I think that usually happens after you've played a heap of gigs. its happened to me before and usually takes a few points to get it back up. Whether it has something to do with the size of the gig your playing, the quality of your shows and the attendances which can make your happiness sink and take alot of points to rescue, I am not too sure. |

Yeah, but happiness doesn't affect anything anyway ? Or maybe it does, but I never bother with it and I'm class at it |

I've found that if your happiness is too low, you're unable to practice. Like people have said, touring is the best way to get ability points but if you want to practice songwriting then you need your happiness to be quite high otherwise it says you're too tired and need to rest. |
