"As My Life Ends" is the first single of Tom Wheels solo band released in February 2012. The single was released through Black Tie Productions and features Tom's first original release since 2010's "Merciful Death" (Hellspawn latest album).
Writing & Recording:
Tom started writing this song in August 2011 and finished it two months later. He wrote the lyrics in three days but spent a lot of time writing the music. The recording took plase in Tom's own studios, HellDog Studios located in London, England. It's produced, engineered and mixed by Tom Wheels and mastered by Mike Wesperth.
About the Song:
"I really like this song. It's very dark and heavy in a Death / Black Metal style it has mid-tempo and very fast parts plus a lot of different riffs. In the middle of it, a violin melody can be heard accompanied by a Piano, both played by my old friend Mike Wesperth (ex-Seventhsign). The lyrics tell the story of a man that realize he's dying and feels trapped in life and implores for someone to save him. It's a very post-apocalyptic feeling like the whole album." - Tom Wheels.
