I agree.

He was the greatest. Better than Madonna, Britney, Beyonce, Prince, Tina Turner, Usher, The Backstreet Boys mixed togheter

Mmm, for some reason I read that as the Beastie Boys and thought 'WTF??'...anyway, I can't really imagine a tribute concert...it will just be, well, huge..

Prince is the only one who fits in this category of greatness, Madonna maybe. The other names are totaly not important in music history, will never be. The Blackstreet boys, hahaha.

Yes, except Tina Turner, she's pretty important. After all, she appeared on a great Zappa album.

It was totally bizarre. I was having a rare night out and my phone never stopped. R.I.P Jacko. I know this might sound bad but his death was every bit as weird as his life in the last few years. Just watched the Martin Bashir documentary and the other one that Michael authorised after it. I wonder what Bashir is thinking now? I feel sorry for his family because there is no way in hell his funeral will be a private family affair. I could never understand him as a person but as a musician no one in my opinion could beat him. A truly amazing life and a truly amazing and misunderstood man.

Yeah, but Michaels always had health problems and Madonnas generally health, however i'd probebly prefer Michael to adopt me.. ;)

Still, the guy was messed up, not his fault, but messed up all the same. It's incredibly sad, and he was truly an icon, but no comeback tour could get rid of the bad rep as a person that he had. And after it it would have been spectacular blaa blaa blaa and everyone would have gone back to taking the piss out of him and he would have reclused even more and then it would all just repeat itself.

He was, in his prime, the greatest. But, like elvis, fame got to him and he just wasnt the right mentality to put up with it.

Lets not forget, as we should remember with Jade Goody, that we all thought he was a freaky pedophile before his death. Maybe not people here because your more musically intelligent people, but the genral public did believe that. However now the guys dead all is forgiven and we, possibly rightly so, remember him for his fantastic music.

However, it is incredibly shocking. Im still in shock. You just dont expect it to happen. I woke up to it as well, my dad just ran upstairs and shook me awake at like 5 in the morning and he was like JACKOS DEAD. Not nice.

RIP MJ

What your saying isn't true, he never had a bad reputation. People overlooked him but many artist and fans looked up to him. This tour would of make his comeback, he still has millions of fans and the haters would just cancel out.

Just because he died does not mean in any way that he never had a bad reputation. He did, and it ruined him. Whether he was on the verge of a comeback or not, you can't deny what had already happened.

In my opinion, he was very iconic, wrote some very good songs and in doing so the pressure was just too much. Not many people could live their lives under that much stress, I know I couldn't. R.I.P MJ.

Doesn't every artist have a bad reputation?

Britney Spears- Shaving her head, she is still having hits and selling out concerts

Janet Jackson & Justin Timberlake- The nipple incident, they are still sucessful.

Christina Aguillera- For going all sexual and the "Dirty" song controversy

R-kelly- Peeing on an underage girl, having sex, he still has hits

Whitney Houston, Madonna, BSB, PCD
should I go on

and his bad reputation is because people want to ruin his career, It was never proven that he molested children at all.
